Myrr 3.3 - Only You
With plans set in place, our ragtag band of misfits prepared to work the night shift and hopefully put an end to the kobold raids on the village...
The group worked quickly to mark all inhabited buildings in an effort to drive the kobold raiders into a trap where they could be easily defeated. Anyone who knew a thing about kobolds knew that something was off about this--after all, kobolds are descended from dragons too cowardly to fight in the ancient dragon wars, so their M.O. tends to be more in line with playing pranks and causing smaller problems than in raids. Something bigger was driving them, the group thought, so they planned to try and capture at least one kobold for questioning, despite their instincts to smash all the things with hammers.
Dalia had some major concerns, as her sorcery tends to set things on fire, and since most the village is made of wood and straw and is in the middle of the woods, things could end VERY badly.

The group adjusted their plans to account for this, setting up barriers around the town to drive the kobolds into the cemetery and around the keep, both of which are made of stone and neither of which are particularly flammable.
As the group set up for the night, the leader of the guard approached Stanis and told him to avoid looking at the leader of the kobolds or else he’d turn to stone.
This, of course, boded SO well for the rest of the night. The group split up to cover all of the potential paths into the village, with Stanis and Dalia planning to try and intimidate the kobolds and everyone else planning to fight them.
No sooner had everyone gotten to their places when Tzun-Ya heard sound and saw two kobolds trying to sneak into the village. Although she was well within their sight, neither one even noticed her.
Before long, however, the other kobolds became alerted to the group’s presence, and drumming began in the woods, as beady little eyes shone through the bushes.
The drumming continued, and the kobolds swarmed the village, accompanied by their very own Doof Warriors, commanding their enormous kobold mounts with their sick drumming skills.
The battle began, and our heroes struggled until they realized that the pair of Doof Warriors were controlling and healing their comrades. Some well placed firebolts, sacred flames, chill touches, and arrows brought the bards down, and the rest of the kobolds began to drop like flies soon thereafter.
Their deaths heralded the arrival of the aforementioned leader, riding atop what, at first blush, appeared to be a basilisk, skittering about on six legs. Nobody really dared look at it well enough to figure out if that’s exactly what it was, but it seemed invulnerable to most physical damage and was very powerful.
Despite this power, Aarshkûl managed to decapitate the leader with his dagger, getting bitten and poisoned in the process. The basilisk creature (which also seemed to have four arms and two legs? Nobody’s really sure what’s going on there) whispered in Aarshkûl’s mind that he’d become one of them soon before fleeing to the woods.
Initially, the group were afraid to follow, knowing well how dangerous the woods could be at night, but Aarshkûl said “fuck it” and charged ahead, the others saying
The battle continued, with Dalia sending a firebolt wide, unsure of where it landed. Eventually, and to the group’s surprise, Marty killed the basilisk with a perfectly timed Eldritch Blast + Hex combo.
Dain began to rummage through the kobold leader’s possessions to see what he could learn as Dalia approached him and sheepishly admitted that she mayyyyyy have started a tiny forest fire.
Remember kids... only you and your lack of firebolting can prevent forest fires.

Myrr 3.2 - That’s the Tea
We pick up the morning after we encountered the witch in the woods...
Marty wandered into town and introduced himself to the group, three of whom already knew him, including Dalia, who called him Howard and Stewart and other incorrect names.
Marty attempted to ingratiate himself with the group by buying them a round of drinks, but managed to do the opposite with Aarshkûl by spilling tea on him.
Once he’d introduced himself, however, Marty explained that he was there to talk to Sariah about the case of an apparently possessed child caught beating his own mother and brother with a stick.
He and the crew went upstairs to find Sariah, eventually discovering her in the room of Simon, the patient for whom the group collected the wispwillow the day before. Simon, as it turned out, had not only been badly injured, but had come down with a tiny case of lycanthropy.
Fortunately, Sariah was able to remove that tiny case of lycanthropy with ease (we should really keep her around) and moved on to the pressing matter of the possessed child. She hurried to the child’s home with the group in tow, though most of them had to watch through the windows.
Within the home, the child was throwing various objects at his mother and brother until Sariah cast a spell on him to make him freeze. While Marty distracted the brother with an illusory unicorn...
...Stanis and Dain figured out that the child was not possessed but was instead taking orders from the witch in the woods via an iron coin. Sariah explained to the group that the witch in the woods had mostly left the town alone until lumberjacks came and started cutting down trees, at which point, she got pretty cranky.
Naturally, the group was ready to immediately go and destroy the witch, with Dalia in particular loving the idea of setting her on fire.
Wisely, however, the group took Sariah’s lead and talked to the child at the Temple of Kerese before taking any action. The child explained that the witch had earned his trust by both teaching him magic and “predicting” upcoming kobold attacks, which she told him he could protect himself from by drawing three lines on his door, a symbol that meant “overhead” in Draconic. Once she gained his trust, the witch then fed the child lies about his mother to convince him to attack her and his brother.
From there, the group split up. Dalia and Stanis stayed with the child to gain his trust by teaching him magic...
...and Aarshkûl went to the graveyard to sulk about not reaping any souls today. Dain, meanwhile, visited the lumberjacks in the tavern while Tzun-ya and Marty went to the town leadership, all interested in gleaning as much information as possible before forming a plan of attack. Eventually, the group was voluntold to participate in the night watch, which gave them the opportunity to plan a trap for the kobolds... one that, if Dalia has her way, will involve burning a lot of things.

Myrr 3:1 - Into the Woods
We first met our heroes in the town of Cairnhold in the Exland region...
Tzun-Ya stopped at the temple to pay respects and to place a tribute to her god.
Aarshkûl and Stanis were burying a body in a graveyard and being interrogated by the local authorities about it.
Dain and Dalia were hanging out in the tavern/inn, where they had conversations about apple juice.
Suddenly! A golden elf came in and talked about her very sick friend! Dain, being the doctorly type that he is, was intrigued.
The golden elf needed some wispwillow to properly heal her friend, and after Aarshkûl and Stanis were somewhat press-ganged into it, everyone set off into the unsettlingly creepy woods to find the necessary herbs. Almost immediately, their feet were attacked by sharp rocks.
Dalia and Stanis’ magic radars were going off something fierce, detecting NECROMANCY, which set everyone on edge. Eventually, they reached a clearing surrounded by rocks and statues, within which many herbs--including the wispwillow--were growing beautifully. Nobody trusts that easily, however, and they were proven correct when an old lady showed up, the owner of the garden.
She also had a bunch of werewolves keeping tabs on everyone, so that was neat.
She initially demanded the payment of one of everyone’s fingernails, but everyone noped out of that. She then wanted a lock of Dalia’s hair, but nope on that, too. At some point, she hinted that she was a servant of Aradokkir, which had Aarshkûl ready to attack, but Dalia mostly defused the situation with a story about pie.
The story entertained the old lady enough that she allowed Dain to clip some wispwillow to bring back into town. After that, however, she told the group that her patience had ended and sent them running back to town with wolves on their heels.
The group made it back safely, and Dain and Stanis joined forces with the golden elf, Sariah, to heal her friend Simon, who the witch old woman revealed had tried to make off with some of the herbs in her garden.
Once Simon was all fixed up, Stanis was content to call it a good deed without getting paid, but Dain and Dalia are not running a charity and asked for payment, which everyone received in a mix of jacks and gold.
