went thrifting and bought a vintage emerald trunk that has the previous owners name painted on top "nancy" and now im using it as a tv stand i mean,,,

          nancy had been following the stories of the missing children in DERRY,  ever since the news exploded about it.  missing children.  it shouldn’t be anything new,  it happens everywhere right?  there was just something about it that made her blood run cold when she’d heard it.  and,  believe it or not it had been nancy’s second visit to derry.  in 1989,  when she was twenty-two .. strange things had been happening.  she was a believer of anything evil.  she suspected demogorgons. the upside down.  now she’s outside this beat up motel in derry,  a cigarette between her index and middle - having talked to people who just called it a missing child report.  was she fucking crazy?   even the wind blew through trees a certain way. the echoes made her feel like she was being followed. “ hey can i ask you about these missing kids? “  straightforward,  she blows smoke to the side.  “ nancy wheeler - i’m not from here but, “  another pause.  “  i got a feeling you could help me out, “

i read what you said about ahs 1984 and i get what you mean ofc but i don’t see it as homophobic personally?? in fact i think that she was just trying to throw brooke off in the sense that she wasn’t “being creepy” when they were showering together, and that she wasn’t the stereotype that people associate with gay people back in the 80s (plus i also think that montana has feelings for her, meaning that she is actually a lesbian or even bi, so maybe she’s still uncertain/uncomfortable w/ herself)

so i know going into watching anything in the ahs universe i should be very aware,  and most of the time i’m swayed away from watching by the 4th episode, in the past anyways for this reason.  there’s always something i find distasteful and i get ahs generally knows no boundaries.  its a series sort of an anthology sense,  and i love watching!  and i do see your point there,  but the “stereotype” in the 80s still happens where if someone ( not everyone )  knows your gay or a lesbian,  they think you’re going to check them out as if you’re attracted to every single male or female person.   so i guess for me,  she seemed very ignorant for saying that and i know its part of the ahs formula but it still made me uncomfortable.  i’m not saying i dislike her character as a whole, i was just turned off.  i started to like her more from the last episode.  and yeah, characters are flawed, they’re not perfect.   she’s still growing, lets say she’s uncomfortable or uncertain with her sexuality.  i just don’t think what she  said to brooke in the showers is still something to excuse though, regardless of anything.
