Some best questions...
Some best questions…
The best question to ask of all time should probably be ‘why’….Why are we built with emotions? Why do emotions exist in us?Why do we need to care, at all?Why is there an aura? Why do we care? Why does a heart ache to see another in painof any kind. And tries to save them? Why trust? Why love? And why are humans even on this surface? How much darker can I get? There. that. is a different question. A…

Where time moves slow
Where time moves slow
Sunday, 3 February 2019– With broken clouds filling the sky, my sister and I set out from home to a river nearby, as a winter hike was much needed. It had been snowing heavily the whole of last week and most of the past weekend was spent hibernating indoors. A thick blanket of white still stretched across acres of land and -35 degrees of wind chills from the former week had gotten us so curious…

Truth.
My drug somehow is not something external,
My poison grows inside me.
Addiction to emotions, vulnerability, people – a few things that scares others easy;
Do we admit to it?
Admitting would only mean awareness of our absurd emotions.
Tumblr media
But, isn’t that a good thing?
For a while, THEY made me believe that you only live a fun life with a hunger for the norms, else, you are psychotic
Make palpable…

Loved and lost
October 2
Laying on a bed of roses, He looked into Her eyes, caressing Her cheek.
He loves Her now…
Cos of the way Her face would light up every time she saw Him.
Cos He can’t stop smiling when He’s around Her.
Cos without seeing Him Her day feels incomplete and so She makes it a point to somehow see Him, even though that might mean She getting trouble for it at home.
Cos She will do anything to…

I've found a new obsession.
I’ve found a new obsession.
Tumblr media
Hey guys! Welcome back.
While drafting my last post on how I devoured yummy pork BBQ ribs (check it out hereif you haven’t read that yet), it definitely would come as no surprise to you that I felt extremely guilty for the poor food choices I made the last weekend (hey I’m allowed to feel this way). So my friends and I decided to switch it up this weekend with an activity we were craving for that…

Every time I would watch House of Cards and a scene of Frank Underwood munching on the juicy pork BBQ ribs served at Freddy’s BBQ Joint would play on the screen, the core of my stomach would crave for them so much and my mouth would quickly fill with saliva. So, I made it one of my life’s goals to find a RibFest happening somewhere in the world and conquer it this year. And guess what I got to check off!
Tumblr media
I would not outright say that I am a foodie. I sometimes loathe trying new kinds of foods altogether. Luckily, my brain and tummy, as if almost instantaneously, welcomes juicy pork BBQ rib racks and dee-lee-cious BBQ chicken fry with wide, warm open arms and a rather messy appetite. They fall under the highest category where my brain recognizes these foods to be the “most well-known and loved” foods. You’ll see why soon.
Paying a visit to the Mississauga Rotary RibFest 2018 after what seemed to be a busy week was the perfect way to spend the Saturday… 😀
What’s this RibFest RibFest?
Hosted by The Rotary Foundation, RibFest hosts 12 vendors selling BBQ ribs and chicken, as well as several other diverse food and non-food vendors. Live entertainment is provided on the main stage, featuring a broad range of musical acts primarily focused on local talent. 2018 is the fifteenth year of this family-focused event.
Walking to the venue, the crisp, fresh summer breeze quickly changed scent. And a strong aroma of BBQ ribs filled the air (mostly in the form of white smoke). In a large open green space by the lake were BBQ food and drink stalls set up on either sides leading to a large platform staging an outdoor concert.

Billy’s real proud of the bones he’s collected
The fam and I decided on a BBQ joint and bought some appetizers, pork BBQ ribs, BBQ chicken and some coke and beer. That’s a lot of BBQ in one sentence. Well, that’s really how the event was.
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
While some of us decided to wait in line for the ribs, the others spread around to explore the area and find us seats to have our meals comfortably. When I was given my order of ribs and beer, I could not think of a match made more perfect than that.
We were able to get a table and enough chairs somewhere in the middle of the park and sat down to have our feast. The meat was tender enough to fall off it’s bone but not shred to pieces. It’s a meal I’d never forget…
After this all, I now remember being in a conversation with my folks a few days back… about how I am to discontinue eating red meat…
Soon… maybe..

4 things to pack for a smooth post-landing service procedure to Canada
4 things to pack for a smooth post-landing service procedure to Canada
Hey guys, welcome back!!!
As many questions as I’ve received on application for the permanent resident of Canada I’ve also been asked questions on what to do after it’s all official. Honestly, at first, I was so overwhelmed by EVERYTHING (especially with some new things I had to learn and some old things I had to unlearn). But, it’s not that big a deal.

Life is beautiful
Jenny and Drew became official!
A vice that had brought the two together was probably the only common factor at the time. This did not make sense to anyone around them. Yet, it was so beautiful to watch them learn to love each other.
Drew looked at her as though wondering how he ever got to make her his. She had this innocence mixed with immense good energy. He did not know too much of her, at…

Who do I look up to
Who do I look up to
I have been inspired by people around me, just like most people. Some of them still continue to inspire me, some others I just pick up traits from. But throughout my childhood and teenage life, I have constantly been observant and so inspired by one man.
The person I’ve never failed to copy, the person who would challenge me to be much better than before. This man always looked at me as an equal…

5 things to do before your first hike
5 things to do before your first hike
Something I am very aware of and one of the reason why I chose to move to Canada is because of the beautiful landscapes and scenery’s that make up most of the country. Every sight here is gorgeous. Each day in the spring months of April and May never looked the same.
Thanks to a friend of mine (let’s call him my mystery boy), on a decently warm Saturday, we decided to go on a hiking trip to any…

A few hours of drive away from Tromso, we arrived at the Reisa National Park, close to the Lyngen Alps. The valley is defined by mountains, water and a breathtaking scenery.
Reisa National Park
The guide for our activity closely assisted us in learning bits of what it takes to be a musher. We were encouraged to help prepare these big Alaskan, blue-eyed Huskies and sleds at first and were taught how to control them both.
Dog sledding is one of the national sports in Northern Norway and our guide did not hesitate in sharing his stories from his races with us.
Six huskies, one sled.
One sled accommodates two people – one seated in the sled, comfortable and warm as though in their mommy’s womb, and the other holding on to it for dear life almost, trying to ride it . We were asked to be mindful of the way we controlled the dogs as not being careful could lead to major injuries for both, us and these exquisite creatures.
Tumblr media
Around the Reisa National Park in a line
Amy and I took one sled and Leeviana and Maria another. Special attention had to be paid to weight distribution, since we had six full-grown huskies each running at a speed of 15 km/hr at least, and there were techniques to turning a wooden sled around the corner.
We all drove in a line behind the guide (master of the huskies). It was a bumpy ride. To a point where during the ride, Leeviana and Maria almost fell tragically if not for the snow to help in soft landing. Thanks to the guide who in time was able to compel his dogs to a stop who continued running despite the girls falling. A close fear factor moment!
Although it was a rough ride, we could not give up and literally had no option but to be courageous and so we continued on our journey by the Alps around the National Park.
The scenic beauty was enthralling and the sun glistened on the snow as we drove through the valleys so it was a sight I wasn’t going to complain about. From time to time, we would stop for the guide to check on his dogs and sleds and for the dogs to rest.
Recharging by eating snow
After the fall, the dogs comforting Leeviana
Scattered amidst the chaos. Restless. Wondering why the stop, they just want to run!
Upon returning to the shed, our guide offered us some warm hot chocolate and some more information about how he preps the huskies and himself to participate in a 5 day race covering a 1000 kilometers with just 14 huskies. Then he led us out into the yard to play with his very friendly huskies. He introduced us to three new pups who were planned to be trained for races once they grew older.
Another scary adventure with beautiful memories!
We returned back home tired and content with our trip, freshened up and sat around our dining table to play some games. Just as I stepped outside our villa apartment onto the front porch and happened to look up at the sky, I saw a faint green line across it. Calling out to the girls, we quickly gathered in our coats and boots and walked down the front porch onto the street.
There, above us, were the gorgeous Northern Lights again dancing among the stars!
It was the perfect end to a tiresome, adventurous day. What a blessing, eh?

Witnessing the Northern Lights in the World's Happiest Country of 2017
Witnessing the Northern Lights in the World’s Happiest Country of 2017
Norway was a dream to me growing up. My sister and I got an amazing opportunity to visit three of her friends in “The World’s Happiest Country” in March 2017.
We knew Lia and Maria, two sweet Norwegian girls, who welcomed us into their country with open arms and glistening eyes. Planning the trip was not as stressful as we thought it would be. They described their country to us in a beautiful…
