For anyone following along for writing updates, I'm still hard at work on the next entry for my ongoing series 'Till the Hurting is Done'.

Sometimes, I make a plan and then the story and its characters let it be known that they need more time to get where they're going. I had outlined a single chapter to set up character motivations for the next major plot point, I wrote it, and... it just didn't feel right. When I recalibrated, that single chapter turned into... I expect it'll end up being ten or eleven chapters total. No joke. But damn if it wasn't absolutely the right choice in this situation.

I'm over 25,000 words deep with a few chapters yet to write, and I'm really excited about what it is becoming.

I'm eager to start posting, but I want to get the first draft squared away before I start releasing it.

I'm grateful for everyone's patience and for those who have left me encouraging comments on my works. You all keep me motivated and sane throughout this process.

In the first ten mins holmes refuses to take a Single case for three months bc watson won’t go with him. he locks himself in his room for two straight weeks, drugs the dog, and shoots the wall for attention bc watson is moving out. he says the world outside his room has nothing to offer until watson asks him to go to dinner & immediately agrees. he humiliates mary bc he’s jealous she can marry watson and he can’t. he goes to a fight club to Feel Something bc he knows john is slipping away from him. there’s never any “oh well just bros being bros” the whole tone towards it is just “ofc he’s in love w watson that’s one of his defining character traits”
