I didn't realize how often I swiped down from the right side of my screen until my phone updated and made it so that swiping from the right brings down the settings and swiping down from the left brings down the notifications.

I don't like this.

You can't convince me that Goodworx and Glitch aren't hyping up the fandom over our AUs.

Now I really wish I'd done the Wild West AU I've been thinking about.

I watched EP 1 of Wednesday and I give it the biggest, fattest NOPE that I've ever given a show. Anyway, I will forever Stan Wednesday and Joel. I've wanted to do this for a while but drawing people is hard :( Two children of Joel and Wednesday: Laszlo and Vendetta Glicker-Addams. Plus two little critters. Aside from the terrible love interests, I have a handful of issues with the series but this post isn't about that lol

Assuming that the timeline from the 91 and 93 continued as normal, I figure that, by now, Wednesday and Joel would be old enough to have kids and be married (or in a civil union perhaps?). The eldest is Laszlo, called Laz by his sister, Vendetta, who is a year younger than he is. He's referred to by Laszlo by both sets of parents and Uncle Fester. GrandMama is still around but in the form of a poltergeist who puts in her two-cents on family matters, conversations and events by interacting with objects around the home. A Seance or a crystal ball can also be used. Thing is still around as well, though a bit slower and less nimble: Arthritis and all. Lurch is still lurchin' and hasn't really changed at all. The generations all live in the family mansion, of course. Gomez and Morticia have aged like fine wine, visibly older but no less spry and high on life and no less refined and elegant, respectively. Fester has aged more noticeably than Gomez but he's just as squirrely as he's always been. Being in a more modern/contemporary setting, the kids have very modern interests while maintaining the famous Addams peculiarity. I'm contemplating having Vendetta be a horror game streamer and movie/book critic (think, booktok). As well as an advocate for the marginalized. She's stylish, quick-witted, mathematically and statistically inclined, positive with a pragmatic spin. I'm not quite sure about Laszlo yet. Mad scientist, maybe? Perhaps he's working on a treatment or solution for what ails Thing and is the one who created the flying Speyeders. As such, he's very science minded, analytical, almost Vulcan like in his emotional control, very tidy. artistic and a little more reserved/shy than his sister.

If Kaufmo ever shows up for any reason at all and gets dialogue, I'm voting that Brian Posehn is cast for the role. Who'd see it coming?

Not to be problematic, but I wanna argue/defend something quick. Characters in the main cast actually being NPCs isn't such a bad AU or Concept. Would Caine know the difference between a Human and an NPC? Yes. Also, No. Also, Maybe. He admitted that it's possible for him to get them confused. He got sort of a 1000-mile stare when he brought it up, which makes me think that it already has happened. We don't know what the significance is yet behind Jax's license plate reading Jax001 instead of simply Jax. But it was brought up that that's how a file saves in a particular piece of software when the filename is a duplicate. Maybe it's related to the NPC theory, maybe it's something else. We don't know yet, so right now, either side is just as probable, IMO. Why does Jax have a key to the others' rooms? How did he get them? Is Jax as aloof about the adventures and eager to instigate because he's programmed to help drive the storyline and keep others engaged? Or is he just an asshole of a human? We don't really have enough information to make a solid decision, so whatever people come up with, if there's a good backbone to it, they could be just as right or wrong as the next person and their theory Which brings me to another point. There's a difference between a theory and an AU. AFAIU, a theory is what people think will turn out to be canon and an AU is..well..an alternate universe...a fun story or idea that takes place in a different context than canon. So shooting down AUs and insulting them is just...not the move IMO. Who cares if it doesn't make sense or if the characters are a little or a lot OOC. AUs are for fun. If you wanna discuss logic and probability to relevant lore and yadda yadda yadda, discuss theories, but let people enjoy AUs. I would really hate to see another fandom torn apart over taking AUs too seriously or harassing/bullying people over theories.

I'm so glad tomorrow is Friday. I can finish a slightly bigger piece of art and maybe go further down the tadc rabbit hole. I have. Abad habit of staying in my own corner and not socializing within a fandom lol
