Kimetsu no Yaiba → Ikebana

Ikebana (生け花, 活け花, “arranging flowers” or “making flowers alive”) is the Japanese art of flower arrangement. It is also known as kadō (華道, “way of flowers”). The tradition dates back to Heian period, when floral offerings were made at altars. Later, flower arrangements were instead used to adorn the tokonoma (alcove) of a traditional Japanese home.

Mizukiri (水切り),  literally “water-cutting.” Cutting the stems of your flowers underwater will keep them fresh for longer.

The style shown in the anime that Tanjiro arranges appears to be Moribana. Moribana (盛り花, 盛花) is one of the expressions of Japanese flower arrangement Ikebana. The word Moribana means “piled up flowers”. This style was introduced by Unshin Ohara around 1890 after the Meiji Restoration of 1868. Moribana is not only an expression of Unshin Ohara’s creative departure from Ikenobo, but was also a strong sign of the Western influence in Japan. The arranged flowers may be placed in Western-style rooms and entranceways, not just in the tokonoma alcove found in traditional Japanese-style rooms.

Hello Everyone!

It’s been a while since I was last really here. So much has changed! Like the For You page ?? Is it actually worth using or is the Following tab still the best way to go? And who should I even follow these days?

I have no idea if I'll get ever back into making anime/series GIFs or coloring, but now I’m officially a working adult.... Like I used to be here during my school and uni days, and the nostalgia is hitting hard.

Shoutout to my FT days...Gruvia (oh my SHAYLAAA), NNT and all that. Ugh, the memories.

These days I’m into still into Detective Conan, Kono Oto Tomare, and playing some gachas. I’ve mostly been hanging out on Discord and sometimes on Twitter( though ever since that one dude took over it has turned into a massive toxic pool.)

autistic anger issues are So Much. i have my temper more under control now in that i rly dont yell/lash out anymore but i do regularly boil inside with incandescent uncontainable rage over something inconsequential and then it evaporates in the span of ten minutes. incomparable
