As lately I've been having a lot of thoughts 'bout my dragon siblings, I decided to write down a few of headcanons and observations (from archive files and game and other places) in regard to Chong Yue— Mayhap it will help my overall writing mojo, as I've been struggling even with editing already written drafts smh

Has a strict morning routine due to teaching martial arts (wu shu), thus everyone amongst those people studying under him are expected to follow his routine.

Whilst he is strict, he has a cordial and gentle personality, to the point where Wang (the second brother) still respects him as an older brother and doesn't want to cross him.

Chong Yue hates killing the most, yet he was the one who did killing the most during the war.

He explicitly expressed a desire to retire. After all these many years of protecting Yumen (Yan).

"He's made acquaintance of many an interesting fellow, yet the more he meets, the lonelier he becomes." (just shoot me in the face already)

Nian roped him into her movie project and he learnt the technologies for how traditional film develops and digital encoding in two months (he is a quick learner).

Chong Yue stole the spotlight in the movie, 'cause the fighting scenes stood out too much and then Nian fired him (help lmao). A month later she asked him to join her movie project again. As was stated in the game, he agreed to join her, 'cause he didn't want his little sister to feel lonely.

He shows care for his siblings in the most normal way, despite Sui siblings being fragments of an ancient god and having the most unconventional family dynamics. He told Ling to stop drinking too much, he agreed to help Nian with movie projects, he reached out to Dusk in her seclusion. He knows each of his siblings individually and the problems they face as a fragment of an old god. And he tries his best to help them with it.

As a CN player wrote: despite being the only one with human body, Chong Yue is still the closest one to a god, meanwhile his siblings are closer to the mortals 'cause they feel human emotions (loneliness, anger, fear) and desire things. Meanwhile, Chong Yue doesn't really seem to have any desires and acts like a protector to humans instead (like a god).

Has many hobbies - woodcarving, pottery, literature, brewing coffee, etc.

He is interested in various modern cultures and open to trying new things.

Chong Yue is the type to learn 'bout anything and everything new, especially if it's something very niche.

Chong Yue may be a respected awe-inspiring grandmaster in both military and martial arts studies, but he is a willing, diligent student in other subjects.

He is the type to show own intent via actions rather than words. He can be straightforward, but still adheres to the principle "actions speak louder than words".

Despite being a great lover of food, he does not possess a cooking skill. Please do not let him into the kitchen. Still it will not stop him from learning how to, especially if he will want to make a good impression.

By his own words he is just a guy™. Even despite all praise and wonderment (his parameters are terrifyingly high, but his body is of a normal guy), he does not consider self unique or exceedingly skillful in any area of expertise, explaining it simply as "if anyone lived just as long and had just as much time to master these skills, they would be just as skillful". This dragon man possesses one of the warmest and humblest hearts.

As a part of Sui, Chong Yue by his nature is of a superior species, yet he sealed his dragon self in a sword and crafted a human body in order to become closer to humans, to learn to understand them. However, the more he interacts with humans and the deeper his love for them grows, the deeper the gap between him and humans becomes, which can never be bridged. As even to his friend he still remains an "outsider".

For this I based Vincent purely in his DMC verse, that inherited a lot of canon parallels - he was part of the order and at some point tried to oppose vile experiments he discovered, that led to him being killed and then experimented on. The result was him turning into a hybrid, having a devil arm and possessing the ability of the Devil Trigger (in canon his shapeshifting forms are his Limit Breaks, but I left only Chaos in this verse). He reeeeealy hates Sparda and humans' obsession with him, and what partially was the cause for his current condition. So don't be surprised if at first he won't be thrilled to discover that you are of Sparda's origins and worst of all Vergil's spawn as well lmao Vincent has a few words of choice to say to your dad too or maybe he will shoot him first. But yeah, Nero's time in Order also won't help in the very beginning of their acquaintanceship, but if he will manage to draw parallels with his time having devil arm and Yamato too, I can see them bonding through mutual understanding of what and how it felt. The fear and confusion. 'Cause Vincent isn't someone who can be easily swayed by words or deeds, you need to show him that you are on the same wavelength, that there's understanding between you two. And he can grow to tolerate loud and irrepressible Nero, 'cause one buzzkill is enough.

The best familiar. The most capable and overall amazing birb you will ever meet. Being in his presence must be considered the utmost luck and blessing from above— But jokes aside, if it's not Vincent who is Sparda's babysitter, then it's definitely Griffon. This chicken will deny any attachment he developed towards especially V and Vergil, and then the others. He obv won't pass an opportunity to laugh at your misfortune or make a joke 'bout the situation you got self in, but you can't convince me that despite all the trouble he was dragged into, he didn't enjoy his time with the Co. and given opportunity will choose to remain. But I also wrote this before to our mutual friend, that despite his want to live, he comprehends that he was born from Vergil's nightmares and this is not how he wants to remain. Griffon and others did get attached and he didn't deny it, but THAT was not existence or reminder they wanted to be. Now I'm sad again.

NGL I genuinely sat here for like 30 min and thought who else on my active and archived lists I could potentially stuff in DMC verse. And I'm just a shrug emoji. Not 'cause there's lack of interest, but due to most of my muses being of v niche and limited themes/concepts. So unless we come up with an AU or verse outside our fandoms, I srsly at a loss of who else to offer, 'cause technically I can write literally any of my characters, the problem is setting/verse/circumstance. Especially if we want/plan a prolonged communication and not one-time thread/idea. 'Cause I could also offer Ais to you too or Flamebringer, or Camu, as they do seem like my most universal characters, aside from Vincent.

With Vincent if we will go for FFVII verse, it may be smth during his time in Turks or after msq, when he resolved his internal problems and solved issue with Chaos. 'Cause before that any interaction with him can and may be awkward due to his fear of losing control over Chaos. He may be reluctant to develop any romantic attachments, but I'm not against any attempt regardless. Also I have 75842834 verses for him, so we also can stuff him either in BB or DMC or smth else, as at some point I did have sm issues and made sm verses for Vincent specifically smh.

Where do I even start with this one... I always wanted to explore the original tension between Ishgardians and au ra in before the Dragonsong War was resolved. Wanted to see how he will see past someone's appearance and see them as their own person and not just scales and horns. Also idr if you write Eb as WOL in FFXIV, cause if you do, then it's another can of worms and me crying uncontrollably over Estinien's dynamic with WOL.

TBH at first I didn't think I had any more active and universal muses that could be put into horror verse or general fantasy, BUT THEN I REMEMBERED I HAVE THIS FREAK WHO GOT TOO COMFORTABLE IN HIS SOLITUDE... Literally the dream of every villain fucker - unrepentant, unredeemable, unapologetic, does not take his hand off sarcasm button, kill first ask questions later, B/D/S/M master, versatile (insert eyebrow waggle here), killing ppl and basking in their blood and screams of agony and pain and fear as foreplay, etc— Dude does not have even a single green flag, but the number of red flags is second to none... ANYWAY I can easily guide you through lore of at least his specific game, cause boi WH40k does have a lot of games and massive lore. But if you desire exquisite and murderous problem in your life, then this stick insect elf of a man is your choice. You literally can't fix him, but he can and will make YOU worse.

Considering both Chong Yue character and opinion he has on Lumen, having any antagonistic dynamic is off the table. Despite his origin, my dragon man is by nature not v confrontational or hostile, so it's hard to imagine him being aggressive. If you aren't unrepentantly evil person or a threat to people, he would always try to mediate in most situations without any attempt to resort to violence; 'cause let's be honest, he will floor a lot of ppl as he is a powerful individual. He just chooses not to. So I can see them bonding over compassion and care for people, 'cause in his opinion no indifferent person will become a healer willingly. He will also prob grab Lumen under his wing (or tail), if his siblings will cause troubles or drag him into their harmless machinations, 'cause this is what older brother always does. He did take part in Nian's movie and he would do much worse for them ngl. Despite RI supposed to be his vacation due to old age, he still will involve self into ppl lives and will try to help them in any way possible, like dragging them into morning training practices, regardless of their personal wishes lmao He does practice still healthy way of life and is more than willing to help others join him on this path as well. Also Chong Yue srsly has a very big heart, despite being mistreated as an outsider by ppl he considered friends, despite being ostracized as Sui fragment, he still harbors immense care and love for ppl - both human and not so much. And this makes me a lil hesitant to assume his romance, 'cause love is selfish, love is selective. But Chong Yue is not. So it will cause internal conflict for him, as suddenly his care and love for people will start to center around mostly one person. 'Cause despite always maintaining an amicable facade, he IS lonely and yearns for companionship. For connection with the very people he loves and protects. But due to his nature he can't have or not allowed to, even tho it never stopped him. He still shows his love, care, protection and concern for people without reservation. And he forged a lot of interesting and unique bonds. One of such is with Tian Pei. So what I'm saying is that any deep and exclusive romance with such an individual will take time, consideration and probably special approach, 'cause as I already said Chong Yue would not want to act or be selfish.

I told you before my basic idea for Vincent's DMC verse, so considering what Vergil did, at first he def won't be v amicable towards your boi. And he def will be prone to attack even, despite Vincent not being your regular hero type. Also he won't proactively hunt demons and considering the results of experiments, he will most likely to search remote places with fewer people. So in this regard, he is v similar to Vergil - they don't enjoy crowds and noise. So when they will get over grudges, I do think Vincent will understand the majority of Vergil's internal conflicts with Dante (even tho Vincent is the only child), and won't judge him (much). As long as Vergil will genuinely try to make it right now, he won't hold anything against him. Though I also think personality-wise they can both clash over "i need more power" and get along over some good wine and books and solitude. So their dynamic is p interesting and can be akin to scales, leaning on either side, depending on their mood, I suppose.

Ais and Vergil will butt horns so much. This is a promise, a warning and a threat. And the cause can be literally anything, 'cause Ais likes to both throw hands and annoy ppl and see their reactions. And boooooi does he have a big mouth and no stop signs. He is a professional shit-talker, his level of sass and smug is through the roof. But unlike Griffon, Ais can back it up in a fight. And to mention his pact with a tako monster Ocudeus, idk if you are into tentacle battle, but this is p much what their confrontations will involve. Ais literally won't give a single fuck what Vergil did. Ruined the world? His own isn't in better state. Sold own soul for power? They can shake hands over ass decisions. So it will come down to ow much entertainment and company Vergil can provide, and by sheer power alone, he has Ais undivided attention. But I still threw out the romance part‚ 'cause lbr he won't engage with Vergil in that way. I love you‚ Vergil‚ but I'm being real here lmao Even tho Ais has relation with an asshole in the game and enjoys this type of ppl, I see him getting all buddy-buddy with Dante more than Vergil. Your man isn't /that/ type of asshole Ais enjoys... idk if I'm making any sense here

And for Griffon... My fearless chimken... I agree with everything you said already. Considering Griffon being born from Vergil's nightmares, he def knows his most intimate and hidden parts of self, parts that even Dante may not be aware of; and despite liking to poke both V and Vergil with some of them, Griffon still cares for them in their own way and he does feel guilty af. I still can't forget his last word to Dante 🥹 As if he srsly felt guilty and ashamed for own existence (all three of them were), due to exactly from where they were born. Griffon does want to live and others too, they fought Dante just for pretence of hating him, when in reality they never did. Griffon admitted so several time and in manga too, but I don't think he would accept living as a "nightmare", even if it's of someone like Vergil. He also got attached to V and taking care and helping him, no matter how non-sensual his requests may be. So all my rambling here is that Griffon cares, in his own cursed, funny and sassy way. Even for someone so selfish, arrogant and silly like Vergil 🥹 I'm not crying atm, not at all. So yeah, instead of "nightmare" he would prefer to actually be a "familiar", a "guardian". Not to remind of everything that went wrong with Nelo Angelo, but to remind him and hammer into his thiCC skull that there're ppl who care for him, despite everything. He isn't unloved and unwanted, as he always assumed.

You told me I can choose anyone else, so— To honor PGRxDMC collab, I present you Camu. He is more grumpy than Vergil, imagine that. Very dog coded - will bark and bite, and even at the same time. No wonder, one of his frame's coating has a muzzle. Anyway— Did you start the game? I've been dusting off my global account to welcome y'all, as I've mostly been on my CN account for obv reasons. Only this collab holds my faith in Kuro, 'cause I almost fully gave up on wuwa. Anyway— Their dynamic will be smth akin to "the grumpy and the more grumpy one" and you need to find out whomst is who. Also Camu likes ice cream and his taste buds were enhanced to embrace life of a food slave, I mean he wants to taste various meals from dif human cultures. This moment absolutely cracked me in event, so I was like - Camu will def tell these weirdos off lmao Roland is enough already... Camu's line isn't "canon" to event, I inserted it myself, let me be delusional ok

The most badass things about an INTJ

Here’s my list of awesome INTJ traits:

1.They’re not afraid to admit that they are wrong / they don’t know something. (Unless you’re being an asshole, then they might purposely bullshit you.)

2.They value knowledge for its own sake. Consequently, they never stop learning, and have already forgotten more than you’ll ever know.

3.They have an uncanny ability to divine social relationships or hierarchies at first glance (as long as it doesn’t involve themselves).

4.They are impossible to offend. (If you try to hurt them with sarcasm, they will a). reply in kind, and b). henceforth hold you in higher regard, although they won’t show it. If you try to debate or argue with them, the same thing will happen, as long as you don’t drag any messy emotions into the conversation.)

5.They are inherently sarcastic. (Some people might not consider this a good thing, but we have to admit that there are few things more badass than pure, unadulterated sarcasm. Very few people can match the INTJ level of sass.)

6.If you can actually gain their friendship, they will be loyal to you for the rest of your earthly days (and quite possibly afterwards). The snark, superior intelligence, and I-told-you-so’s are a bonus.

7.If you ever need some clear, levelheaded advice untainted with emotion and other forms of distasteful human baggage, they’re the man (or woman). (Hell, if you need any advice or have an important decision to make you should give them a ring.)

8.They are quite possibly the most open-minded race on the planet, which is, in my humble opinion, is one of the most desirable traits a person can have.

9.They will suddenly spring some awesome skill on you that you never saw coming. (“You have a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu? Why didn’t you tell me before?”) Just don’t demand them to demonstrate that skill on the spot, no matter how badass it is. They might actually comply.
