MediEvil film adaptation shelved

The supposed MediEvil film adaptation that was in the works is in the works no more, as confirmed by one of its writers, Ben Mekler, on X (formerly Twitter). He also revealed that the film was set to have original songs by Tenacious D.

In an effort to make himself look cooler and so that people will be more likely to take him seriously, Canny Tim goes out to get a tattoo. He gets a Skull and Crossbows.

Princess Kiya, take 2!

Minor spoiler for Chapter 11, but Kiya gets a new look. I’d actually fallen out of love with the original design I’d gone with back in 2023 - with the intent of paying homage to her concept design for MediEvil 2. I wanted to update her outfit due to the perpetual nighttime environment that Gallowmere is set in, because a yellowed blouse and bright red skirt made her stick out more than the skeletal knight with the noisiest suit of armor in existence.

I’d also opted to include her belt, because she needs one for her khopesh and her spell book.

Update

So, we’ve decided on cremation, I don’t think my mom has the heart to have my sister buried. I’m doing OK in the meantime, so thanks to everyone that offered their condolences, I really appreciate it.

I normally don’t post much about my personal life on here outside of mundane things, but I really needed to get this off my chest.

My family and I have been informed, not too long ago, that my sister has unfortunately passed away. I’m still going through the initial shock, but I’m also determined to try and stay strong for my mom while we try to figure out the next steps.

Lord Palethorn's design

Did you know? The villain of MediEvil 2, Lord Palethorn, underwent quite the transformation during development. Originally, the villain was as green as the Wicked Witch herself. Later, his design shifted towards a yellow skintone and a full head of hair before settling on the final red design that we know and love.
