First year doing ArtFight let's goooooo!!!!

I genuinely don't know why it's taken me so long to finally join, it's legit perfect for me. Drawing other people's OC's and they might draw mine back, what's not to love!?

For people who might be interested in attacking me, I mostly work with pens and pencils in grayscale so I will be doing attacks similar to the drawings below.

I do occasionally do watercolour but it takes me ages so I probably won't do any this year, maybe next year. Also I've done the most digital art I've ever made these past couple months purely for ref sheets and the artfight card, so again I won't be doing any of that this year but maybe next year.

I currently have 15 OC's uploaded to my profile, I have about 100 so there's no way I'll get all of them uploaded in time for July, but I have some ref sheets in progress so hopefully I can upload those soon.

Anyways, am very excited to finally be taking part, GO TEAM FOSSILS!

Creatures Of The Watch, March/April 2025

Paintings of each of the player characters in the current campaign I'm playing in. Want to guess which one is my character?

So yeah, we have Andrasta the drow(?) barbarian/paladin, Azuk the half orc wizard, Beaumont the tabaxi bard, Ena the owlin cleric, Kronos the triton paladin and Leon the human rogue/fighter.

Yes Kronos is digitally coloured, I really messed up with his watercolours so I offered to fix the issue digitally. I personally don't like how he looks but everyone else seemed to think otherwise so I'm hoping it'll grow on me.

"Myles", February 2025

Starting off the year with some more d&d art! Another npc, this is supposed to be paired with the Lunar Caretaker painting I did last year.

This is "Myles" a totally normal aarakocra who's definitely not in fact an eldritch elemental nightmare that wants to reduce the material plane to ash and has an unnerving fascination with the players.

His design is based on an Altamira Oriole.

Martell/Pigeon In Ruins Of Saltmarsh, September 2024

I was supposed to post this before cringe/oc-tober but completely forgot to scan it in and I didn't want to post it during the month.

Hope you enjoy my crunchy writing with a brush pen.

Bit of info, the first ever character I played in D&D was a human warlock known as Pigeon. They were a part of a cult worshipping a pit fiend called Bazmoth, as a sign of their pact, the worshippers would give up their names and be assigned a thing to be referred to as from that point. Sunflower, Pigeon, Coffin and Herring being examples of some of the new names. That campaign ended back in 2020, we killed a dead god resurrected, Pigeon dealt the killing blow (a max damage Finger Of Death) and to show how impressed he was, Bazmoth returned her original name to her, Martell Nerfando.

Now, the current campaign we're playing is set in the same world, thirteen years after the end of Ghosts Of Saltmarsh (the name of the first campaign, the current campaign is referred to as Ruins Of Saltmarsh) and all but one of our previous characters are still alive. So, I wondered what Pigeon/Martell would look like at the time of the current campaign. So, here she is, 39 years young.

Just want to mention some of the details I made with this updated drawing. Her left hand ages four times as fast as the rest of her and is slowly blackening, I figured there would be some consequences for not only casting Finger Of Death at max damage but also killing a god with the same spell; so, crunchy hand. I added some tattoos, I looked at asemic writing for inspiration and imagine they're creeds of the cult of Bazmoth. Also, the clasp of her cloak is supposed to be a moth -supposedly the symbol of Bazmoth- and she has Pigeon engraved on her staff in Infernal script.

The book she has at her hip is the Manual Of The Planes, an in world book that went into extensive detail on every plane of existence and the beings that live on them, it was incredibly important in the first campaign, pages on the heavens were missing and we spent a considerable amount of time finding them in order to find out how to kill the BBEG. Like, the DM fully wrote out the pages for the heavens, legit one of the coolest things I've ever seen. In the current campaign we will need to look at the manual to find out how to destroy primordial elementals, which is how we will eventually meet up with this new version of Pigeon. I'm so fucking excited.

Halloween / Artist Choice Cringetober OC-tober (31/31), October 2024

It's finished!

Happy Halloween/Samhain everyone! I figured I should at least make my last drawing fit with the month so here, have a "mum" taking her "kids" trick or treating.

These are some oc's I've had for around a decade and they haven't changed much. The twins are eldritch demons who just decide that the tall woman should be their mother and she just has to cope with that. Despite being centuries old, the twins pretend they aren't and when they want sugar, Crying just has to deal with it and hope they'll leave her alone if she takes them trick or treating. And of course, the twins' costumes are just themselves.

Anyways, I'm very happy that I managed to pull off this art challenge, I'm going to once again aim to try it again in two years as it really is the only time I make a decent amount of art. Given everything that's happened this year, including having my cat of 16 years be put to sleep on the 18th, yeah, the world was out to make sure I didn't finish this, but I did. Yippee!

Supernatural / Monster Cringetober (30/31), October 2024

There's something hiding in the forest.

Okay so I lied about not drawing another full scene, it's based on a concept I've had for a long time -a way to introduce one of my newer oc's- and I just don't have the skills to pull off what I originally had in mind so here's a simplified version.

I made a cryptid oc, I love him, I hate him, I designed him way too complicated so for now, you only get eyes, at least until I can confidently draw him.

Mad Scientist AU OC-tober (29/31), October 2024

Mad scientist? More like mad alchemist, am I right fellas? Nerfando legit creates a new form of sentient life and is like, "Yeah I'll make this as uncomfortable as possible to look at."

Nerfando has technically existed for a long time, just not as an oc, they were a side character in a group of other oc's story but eventually I figured they do count as an oc so here they are. I do love them, they acted as inspiration and part of the name of my first D&D character so yeah, I hold them close to my heart.

Me at the beginning of the year: "Wow I sure did enjoy The Walten Files when it first released, but it's been almost three years since any proper update to the series, I don't think there's going to be anymore unfortunately"

Episode 4: "Allow me to introduce myself"

I have never been so excited for a piece of content, I cannot put in words how much I loved the episode. Also, all the fanart that came out as a result has been incredible, time to create a mid addition to the collection.

I had to draw Susan's death because holy shit, what a moment, I wanted to draw Banny in the style of a vintage animatronics, mainly because I love the style of old animatronics and thankfully it also fits with the 70's setting.

Desert OC-tober (27/31), October 2024

Behold, the oldest oc of mine...and I suppose the other guy is here too.

Yeah, Verdan, the snake guy, along with Lulan who I drew back on the 23rd are my oldest oc's. I love him dearly, he's just a small creature. I figured since he's a snake, he'd have a lovely time in the desert, in contrast to his arch nemesis, Daemon, who's the melting blob. Daemon typically looks humanoid but because he runs significantly hotter than most and does not enjoy hot weather so I figured this would be Verdan's ideal situation, in the sun with Daemon suffering.

Childhood Memory OC-tober (25/31), October 2024

I knew I wanted to do something with Ahto for this prompt, I have drawn him in the past if you remember that full body merman piece I did back in 2021 and that other merman painting from last year.

So yeah, at first I wanted to draw him interacting with his partner when they were younger, but all my ideas were a bit too ambitious so if I do draw them together it'll be some other time. Instead, I drew baby Ahto with his mum, well, the mermaid who raised him seeing as his birth mum was out of the picture for reasons I will gladly go into detail some other time. Figured I'd finally visualise what she looked like and even though it's in greyscale I'm hoping their physical differences come across enough to tell they're very different from each other.
