Here’s a fun story from my past: 

When I was in 6th grade my gym teacher would constantly find excuses to be in our locker room while we were changing. Her excuses wasn’t even good. Usually she claimed it was about making sure we weren’t fighting in there. Or sometimes she felt the need to look for something that might have been forgotten in there by her or some other student. She never found anything. 

Another common excuse was that she found a shoe in the gym hall and wanted to ask if it belonged to any of us. It was a very poor excuse because it was always the same shoe, and none of us ever saw it in the hall. We suspected that she kept it in her office as a ready excuse for her. Since she used this excuse after class, she usually even walked in to the shower while some of us were in there to ask if the shoe belonged to any of us. 

When we got to the locker rooms before class the girls locker room was always unlocked in advance. But we had to wait for her to come and unlock ours. So we couldn’t quickly change before she got there. 

We told several people at the school, teachers and admin, about that and how uncomfortable it made us. How we could feel her eyeing us and how beyond inappropriate it was for her to walk in to the shower. Especially since she should know by now that it wasn’t our fucking shoe.

We were told, unanimously that this wasn’t a problem. That we were just exaggerating, because it can’t be that bad. They had never gotten any bad reports about her. Of course, knowing that this school processed bullying by not reporting it and claiming they had zero bullying, I called bullshit. For example, they never wrote down our complaint. So I am guessing when the next class came to the administration they were also told that there weren’t any other complaints. 

This woman had gym class with kids from ages kindergarten to 9th grade. I doubt that she only did this to our class. The school gave her free range to creep on kids. And we were all told to deal with it and that it can’t be that bad. “Why would a grown woman be interested in boys?”

She worked there for a year until she quit to work at another school. That’s a lot of kids born within a span of 10 years probably walking around with an unprocessed trauma today. And even that is assuming that she just looked and didn’t take it further with one or several students. 

Men are so not okay.

The reason people think centrists are just “a closeted conservative” is because nothing drives people to the opposition faster than demonizing the center.

Someone who isn’t a total dumbfuck would court the centrists to win over as many as possible. And I say that as a Bernie supporter (albeit a European one).

Honestly I am not even surprised. The schools I went to weren’t much different.

One school in particular was absolutely atrocious.On my first day on that school a classmate of mine grabbed my head and shoved me in to a mountain wall. The actual first day. The teacher just asked him to apologize and then sent him on his way.

One day I was just standing by my locker. A classmate thought it would be a fun joke to smash my head in to it. He was also asked to apologize.

I was once beaten with sticks by a large group and chased away from school grounds. They had to apologize. And my mom was called because I was “skipping classes”. The fact that I was prevented, under threat of actual violence, to go to class, didn’t matter to them.

No matter what happened, that’s what came of it. They had to apologize. And that was it. No reports filed, nothing. A lot of things that happened on that school was actual assault, things that required police reports. The school didn’t even bother to call the parents. When I started refusing apologies, I was considered the bad guy.

My last day of that school came when a classmate tackled me off my chair and slammed my head against the floor repeatedly. All this because I made fun of the zit he had on his nose. In my defense he had at that point made fun of the way I dress, where I came from, my mothers appearance, the fact that I get good grades... You get the point. He was one of those people that dish it out, but really can’t handle when someone talks back. So one comment about the zit was all that was needed. 

The teacher did pretty much nothing to stop him. Another classmate stepped in and pulled the guy off me. After that my mom filed a police report on the school, which quickly prompted the school to file one on the bully. 

According to statistics that school had the least amount of bullying in the entire county. The reason for that was that they never actually filed any paperwork about it. The school I later transferred to was considered to be one of the worst schools. However that was because when shit went down, they actually did something about it. Well... Mostly. A lot of students got away with shit there too. Just less so.

When Gabe entered, he appeared to extend his hand to the attacker. The student grabbed Gabriel’s hand and yanked him toward the wall, the lawsuit said. Gabriel’s head struck something and he collapsed on the floor. The video showed that the other student appeared to celebrate his “takedown” of Gabriel, the lawsuit said. More than a dozen students passed Gabriel lying unconscious on the floor, appearing to mock and kick him, showing the “environment of tolerance of bullying and aggression at Carson,” the lawsuit said. The assistant principal, McKenzie, later appeared in the video looking over Gabriel. Instead of checking his breathing or helping him, McKenzie was “just standing there waiting for other people to come,” Branch said in court.

More than an hour later, the nurse called Reynolds and told her Gabriel had “fainted,” “was alert,” and his “vitals [were] fine,” the lawsuit said. When Reynolds asked if her son needed to go to the hospital, she was told that he did not need further medical treatment, the lawsuit alleged.

Ruthenia Jackson, Carson’s principal, and Jeffrey McKenzie, the assistant principal, “acted just as you would want school administrators to act,” Herzig said. Holding them liable for a student killing themself would open “whole new vistas of liability for schools in Ohio and throughout the circuit,” he said. “We of course understand that 8-year-olds in a school are going to get into scraps from time to time, and they are going to misbehave from time to time,” Herzig said. Ohio law states that “student-on-student violence is not something that can be policed to zero by school officials,” he said.

to thousands of people making phony images and replying to them with their passionate desire to have them as a tshirt to overload the bots with nonsense and junk and send out warnings to shoppers like this:

and now we even have people replying to pictures of baby yoda with “i want this on a tshirt” knowing how ravenous disney is being with copyright in hopes to get the stores taken down altogether

Now that you mention it, the only story I can think of where Loki is important is almost entirely written about him and his antics. 

I don’t remember the name, but Loki arrives at a feast in Asgard and starts hurling insults at all the gods. Eventually Thor arrives, and when Loki tries to insult him Thor just casually puts Mjölnir on the table and says something to the effect of “Say that again and I will crush your head with this thing”. 

That entire story could easily just have been written by the Christians to affirm Loki as the trickster god. And to show the world how “uncivilized” these gods were compared to their own, clearly superior, god.

He can shapeshift, he is associated with fire and snakes, and he was banished to the underworld for a rebellious crime.

With the new worgen models in 8.2.5 I decided to change my main in WoW from male to female. 

If you are wondering why I took the first screenshot on a roof, I often take screenshots up there to avoid other players. But I neglected to take in to account how dark it was at the time. Which is why the other photos under a streetlight. I can’t really go back and retake the first screenshot after the appearance change. 

Really happy with the new look though.

I’ve never seen a company that has this level of contempt for their audience and still gets away with it. I mean EA seems to hate their audience, but everyone hates them back for it.

I know it’s anecdotal but my sister complained for years that Android phones were “too big” and were uncomfortable and impossible to handle. Then the iPhone 6+ came out, which was the size of an actual fucking (folded) 3DS XL. Guess who bought a 6+ the first day. And suddenly she started talking about how much she loved her big phone and how nice it is to finally have a big phone. 

I’ve managed to get most of my family to stop buying Apple products by reminding them of how much they’ve hated every single iPhone they had before. Some Apple fans seem to have beaten spouse syndrome. “It will be different this time!”

“lol Android users be like-” your phone is designed to break down after a year, your apps are all programmed to draw unnecessary power after 2 years, all your accessories and hardware are arbitrarily made with only 1 kind of plug in mind so you can’t use them with anything else or get them from anywhere else, the cables are 150$ and break in a year, your phones will not charge if there is lint in the port, the stores will ask you for 150$ to remove that lint, the phone itself is 900$
