Update on the insurance situation (and a bit of a rant because I'm upset): We got the information, but both my therapist and my specialist are out of network, which means we have to pay 40%. I see my specialist once or twice a month, and I see my therapist 3-5 times a month.
I haven't elaborated on why I've been so inactive, but to keep it short: My dad has been abusive for many, many years, and he was arrested and legally ordered to move out of our house back in October. He made most of the money, and though my mom works most days, it's not a well-paying job, and she has me to take care of, plus my brother, though he has a job. She's also paying for lawyers, court stuff, all of that. My dad is supposed to be paying spousal support, but refuses half the time and won't cooperate with the requests made of him.
I spent hours last night hallucinating multiple voices from multiple directions, seeing ants and mice and spiders, feeling them on my skin, and feeling like I was going to throw up. I haven't had my treatment shots in 2.5 months (I'm supposed to get them every month, and they wear off about 30 days afterwards).
We HAVE to pay that 40% because I need these shots, and I'll have to see my therapist less, but I still have to see her. I just don't really know what to do. I don't think there's anything we CAN do.

Absolutely LOVE when I have to change insurance because I "don't qualify" anymore (I do), and then the person that works with the insurance company I'm now on doesn't give us literally ANY information, so we can't even use it <3

Does anyone else feel this deep sense of wrongness every time something changes in your bedroom/house/living space 😭?? Like, if I move my lamp five inches to the right, I feel unease in every fiber of my being

repeating tics multiple times isn't a sign of faking!
(it's very common in tourettes, especially in tourettic OCD)
someone laughing at their own tics isn't a sign of faking!
(everyone deserves laughter and healthy coping mechanisms)
having tics that reference something related to a conversation or something in the environment isn't a sign of faking!
(its very common in tourettes)
having tics from other content creators isn't a sign of faking!
(its called echolalia, and its very common in tourettes)
having tics that appear 'dramatic' or 'forceful' isn't a sign of faking!
(a clinical feature of complex tics is that they can appear forced even though they are not)
having any sort of stereotyped symptom related to tourettes isn't a sign of faking!
(duhh??)
someone online claiming another person is faking tics... isn't actual proof of faking!
(refer back to above points)
fakeclaiming never has and never will benefit the tics and tourettes community.

Hey !! Just letting the people who still follow me know I haven't disappeared 😭 My life is an absolute train wreck right now, so I'm just kind of here. I don't have the energy to make themed posts or think of new ideas, but I'm still active on personal blogs.
Still kicking though 🎉

This Pride Month, I'd be honored to hear shared stories of the aunts, uncles, and family & community elders who supported us when our parents did or could not.
So many of the lives and futures of queer young people have been saved or preserved by extended family & friends stepping up to offering shelter and support during desperate times.
I want us to share those stories—in the hope this cycle will continue (and continue and continue) for as long as any child finds themself in need of a second, safer home

trying to clean your room can be really daunting and stressful, but you don't have to clean the whole room all in one go.
If you pick up just one thing off the floor, wipe away a little bit of dust, take any dishes to the sink, or anything of the sort, then you have successfully cleaned a bit of your room! It doesn't have to be done all in one burst and every little dent you make will result in a slightly cleaner room

Sorry for the lack of posts, I'm currently hyperfixating on two different things at once and I am literally doing nothing but engaging with them 😭

Almost forgot what it felt like to be put in a "getting hit with a truck while acid is being injected into your brain" simulator! Thanks for the reminder, immunotherapy! Love it 👍

You do not need to (and should not) give your 100% all the time. That's just how you burn out! Often your best is your 50%, your 20%, your 10%, and that's okay. It's okay to do a shitty job at things if that keeps YOU going.

what abled ppl think is a massive problem for disabled folks: 13 year old on the internet faking something
what is actually a massive problem for disabled folks: "well you don't LOOK disabled, are you sure you're not faking? I'm not giving you accommodations until you PROVE you're not faking. Please give me, a stranger, your medical info and explain your condition to me in detail so I know you're not faking and only then will I respect or take you seriously"

Win today!! I tried a new dish with like 5 foods I'm afraid of inside of it!! Super proud of myself tbh. And it was pretty good!
I think one of the main things I've noticed after getting treatment is how much my eating improved. I can eat basically anything without much hesitation now. I still have a very limited diet just because that's what I'm used to, but I can try new stuff without it being a whole event :)
