ive seen some posts lately about drawing diversity with actually diverse features, aka instead of just having a black character, drawing the character with nigerian features or instead of just drawing a vaguely indigenous character draw them with features from a specific tribe/area and in any case i figured you might want to check out this site because its a world map where you can click anywhere and it’ll show you different human phenotypes based on region and really goes into showing many types of people. like im making a chilean character so clicked on chile and it showed me this

its just a pretty neat website to really become better at diversifying and strengthening your character designs

What is something your OC would do that may get them kicked out of a store?

Lori: Uuuuum? A magical thing? Beans? Magical beans. I'll drop magical beans, yeah.

Vikki: The Sword of the Ancients, full of power, and granting wisdom to those who-- I... I mean... Idk.

If your OC was an enemy in an RPG, what loot would they drop when they’re defeated?

Does your OC prefer juice with or without pulp?

Lori: Her relationship with her parents isn't the best, but it isn't the worst. She cannot wait to get out of the house, but it has less to do with wanting independence, than it does needing distance, as to not potentially kick someone's ass verbally, or otherwise before forced to use force *glancing at Victoria menacingly*

Vikki: *coughs* ...

How is your OC’s relationship with their parents?

Lori: Fruity flavors.

Vikki: Sweet and creamy flavors.

What is your OC’s favourite flavour?

Lori: Blender and food processor. Because smoothies and the like, but also, too much to do, not enough time to chop food myself!!

Vikki: Microwave.

What kitchen appliance could your OC not live without?

Lori: Practically all of them. Her parents often liken her to an American in how she handles and vocalizes her opinions and feelings. Between racism, sexism, classism, and issues involving the disabled, and LGBT+ community, Lori is a social activist beneath the nerdy tendancies, and sheet music.

Vikki: Doesn't really voice much, but cares deeply, and often tries to stay out of the way with it all. She has a constantly changing understanding of the world around her, and being who she is, only vaguely understands the struggles of those unlike herself as she has not lived her life as those who have struggled around her, for the reasons they struggle. But she always lends her support when it is needed or requested, and has stuck up for others on several occasions, especially where Lori and her family have been involved.

Are there any social issues in your world which your OC feels particularly strongly about?

Lori: Will pass out if she is outside too long without water or shade. She does not handle high heat well at all, and will sweat to death, literally.

Vikki: Usually she just gets super dehydrated super fast. She has never had heat exhaustion or the beginnings of heat stroke like Lori has though.

How well can your OC handle heatwaves?

Lori: Yes

Vikki: Hell yeah!

Would your OC enjoy Pokémon GO?

Lori: A little. Repairs, mostly, though she did a lot of the work to get the cosplays done for the two of them that one time.

Vikki: Can sew, but not well enough to make it last. Not even close.

Can your OC sew?

Lori: Not really!

Vikki: Frequently, on the floor. Generally forgetting where she is every time it happens, which is practically all the time.

Has your OC ever woken up anywhere weird?

Lori: occasionally. It's an excuse to dress differently, for sure.

Vikki: Nope. Absolutely not.

Does your OC enjoy swimming?

Lori: always looks sharp as a blade, even when she's dressed down, in casual clothes.

Vikki: Can look like a bum, most of the time. But when she needs to actually be somewhere, she looks naturally put together, or like her appearance is 100% intentional. The reality is, she puts the bare minimum of effort in. She just chooses the best colors when needed.

How much effort does your OC put into their appearance?

Lori: has to wear glasses during composing to make it easier to read the music. Her eyes often make the notes dance on the page, and change color randomly, so she wears tinted shades to prevent her eyes from wandering and mixing things up. Some days, she can get away with NOT wearing them though.

Vikki: Is a terrible reader, and learns a lot by watching demonstrations, and hands on learning. Her and Lori both have some form of dyslexia, but Lori's is more limited to sheet music, and the repetition of notes on lines.

Vikki almost enjoyed the torture of learning Japanese, as it was harder to confuse things like D's, B's, P's, and Q's, not to mention the scrambling of letters mid-word. Instead, she has to recall phonetics, and Which One of That Sound, which she finds far easier.

Does your OC have any disabilities?

Lori: Yes. She's a nerd. Despite how she appears, she is an absolute nerd.

Vikki: Manga, not so much comics.

Would your OC read comics?

[new-kid--on-the-block]

Lori: Depends on the scale. If it's smol, it's tolerable, and she can stay pretty chill. If it's grand-scale, she will not survive the anxiety and stress, and generally needs more support and distractions than usual.

Vikki: It depends on WHAT the disaster it is. Size/scale of the disaster is generally meaningless to her.
