you were living a simple life filled with simple dreams; combining your two most loved things in life, children and teaching, you were starting out your career as a teacher at the local pre-school. but little did you know, how one child and her very special father, would change your simple life into something extraordinary

You tied your messy hair up into a ponytail, attempting to get the small, distracting hairs out of your face. You opened up the refrigerator and scanned your shelves, beginning to take out things in order to make Jieun and yourself some lunch.

Hearing small footsteps behind you and a voice call out your name, you turned around from the countertop to see Jieun standing in the middle of the kitchen, her hands rubbing her droopy eyes as she stared up at you, resembling that of a long, lost puppy.

A warm smile spread across your face as you exclaimed, “Hey, look at you, you’re up!” as you lifted the little girl into your arms and spun her around, eliciting small giggles from her mouth before setting her down on the kitchen countertop.

Your eyes glanced towards the time before looking back at Jieun, “Do you feel hungry? It’s almost lunchtime.”

She nodded quickly, a big smile spreading across her face when she asked, “Can we eat cookies? I really liked your cookies last time!”

You giggled as you pinched her nose softly, “Uh-huh, you can’t eat cookies for lunch now, can you?! How about we make some macaroni and cheese and then we’ll bake cookies for snack time later? Does that sound like a good idea?”

Her eyes lit up at that as she grinned, “Mac and cheese?! That’s my favorite! Daddy makes it for me all the time.”

“Well then it’s up to you to pick who’s Mac and cheese you like better okay?” you teased, as she nodded happily before whispering to you, “I think you might win Ms. L/N. Daddy sometimes burns the cheese and it turns all black and burnt.”

You laughed at that before saying, “Well, I guess it’s time to teach him how to properly cook, huh?”

“Or Ms.L/N, you could come live with us? Then you can cook delicious food for me and daddy!” Jieun exclaimed as she clapped her hands together, an innocent smile on her face.

You knew the moment you’d stepped in that club that tonight was going to go all kinds of bad. After a couple of shots in, you turned into your crazy, overemotional drunk mess, your steps heavy and light at the same time as you stumbled across the dance floor through the waves of people dancing. 

Faltering into a pair of arms, you steadied yourself by grabbing their shoulder as your hooded eyes looked up to see a familiar bunny-toothed smile, grinning down at you in amusement. Grinning sheepishly, you threw your head back as the drunk giggles took over you. 

“Oh! Jungkook, it’s you,” you giggled, your lashes fluttering at him as you shot him a lop-sided grin.

“Hey you,” he laughed, his eyes taking in your completely intoxicated state, “Damn, how many shots did you have?”

Proudly lifting up four fingers, you laughed again as you waved them wildly in his face, “Three!”

Laughing aloud, Jungkook shook his head, “Oh god, you’re really drunk, aren’t you?” 

Grabbing your arm, he tried to pull you towards where the rest of your group were, “We should get you with someone so nobody tries anything.” he said, giving you a knowing look, as you were quickly remembered of what happened last time. 

Shooting him a wide embarrassed smile, you shook his arm off as your intoxicated state started to play with your mind. Making some questionable decisions, you instead wrapped your arms around his waist, your head resting against his toned chest as you wailed, “No! I want to be with Kookie. Kookie will protect me.”

Pushing your forehead back with his index finger, he gave you an amused look before saying, “Sober y/n would never say those words ya know.”

“Sober y/n would never admit that she liked you too, ya know.” you smiled softly, carelessly, as you snuggled deeper into him without a care in the world.

after 4ish years of running this blog, I think it’s time for me to say goodbye :”) life has def changed for me and I sadly won’t have the time to write as much as I would’ve like to. with that being said, I'm so so so SO grateful for all of you guys for reading my works, supporting me through life obstacles and showing me so much love and support! these last four years on Tumblr have been special to me in so many ways and I'll def never forget it.
