I’ve started painting DnD minis. And just like every other obsession of mine I may have went in a little too hard. Anyway, here’s a bunch of painted minis:

Another reason for going to ECCC was to get a piece by Steve Lieber (who drew the awesome “Superman’s Pal, Jimmy Olsen”). I’ve been wanting to get a jam piece done so I figured this was a good project to start, the Honorary Members of the Legion of Super-Heroes. I have a few other ideas for the back few pages of my sketchbook (the Subs? the Espionage Squad? The Fatal Five?) and this was fun to do so I’ll see what else I can have done.

Anyway, here are the Honorary Legionnaires: Jimmy “Elastic Lad” Olsen by Steve Lieber (as well as the layouts), Lana “Insect Queen” Lang by Dan Parent, Kid Psycho by Phillip Sevy, Pete Ross by Joe Eisma and Rond Vidar by Caitly Yarsky.

I want to get this professionally colored but wouldn’t mind seeing people try out their skills on it.

Dream Girl by Terry Dodson. Mr Dodson was a big pull for me going to Emerald City Comic Con and I was very happy to get a piece in my sketchbook by him.

Brothers Rokk Krinn and Pol Krinn are from the planet Braal. I love the new Legion designs that Ryan Sook came up with. Also just a disclaimer, these guys are heavily traced. I’m not a great artist so I’ll grab different images, piece them together and then trace them. I just wanted to be clear that I’m not trying to steal other’s work and try to profit from it, these are just fun for me to do.
