LUV Pomegranates Social Media Campaign 2017
Bold color, filters, and playful typography were the foundation of pomegranate company Youngstown’s "LUV Pomegranates" social media posts. Using thinner, more delicate typography for homier, gentle holidays and stronger, scratchier fonts for heartier ones, I gave LUV Pomegranates a bold and versatile visual style. I also created a series of fun facts posts called #LearnToLUV, and was able to visually keep with the pomegranate's natural essence of high-end accessibility while informing the social media audience of pomegranate uses, nutrition, and history.

Pretty Lady Vineyards 2017 Ad Campaign & Logo
A series of three ads designed for the Pretty Lady Vineyards, formally Sunlight International, Pretty Lady and Harvest Hobgoblin grape lines, as well as the PLV logo. It was decided that the company’s name would shift to that of its star brand, and so a quick adjustment was in order. With our senior designer, Raul Lara, I designed their new logo as an extension of the standalone Pretty Lady logotype.
Ads were featured in multiple online publications, including Produce News, The Packer, Asia Fruit, Produce Retailer, and more. The idea behind the campaign was that everyone wants PLV grapes, whether they are a sea creature, the actual Hobgoblin, or even Santa Clause. The ads depict the struggle between regular people and their foes to obtain their sweet reward. Pretty Lady for the Summer ads, seen above, were changed from the official version, which replaced the crab claw with a cartoon pink octopus at the client’s behest. The fall season included special top seal packs which needed an ad separating them from the style of the regular Harvest Hobgoblin ads, so the simple dark background was an easy choice.

Nature’s Joy Social Media Campaign 2017
Color and motion were the elements played with in pistachio and almond company Nature’s Joy’s social media posts. By making the only colorized object the packaging and creating the illusion of depth through perspective-based animation, I Increased engagement on Nature’s Joy’s social media pages and gave the company a visual identity.

Sunlight International 2016 PMA Booth & Collateral
Inspired by the 2016 election, the theme of Sunlight’s 2016 booth was vintage Americana and elections. The Pretty Lady is a WWII era pinup girl while the Harvest Hobgoblin is Uncle Sam. Mailers went out before the show, and while the four outer lightboxes displayed election-themed posters, the interior featured doubled up posters about the history of the owning Dulcich family. Six lightbox posters were created, and whether you were looking up, down, or around you see the brand’s mascots. Once you leave, you take a piece of the booth with you on your shoulder or your lapel.

Marketing Plus 2016 Promos
In 2016, Marketing Plus put out a series of mailers and landing pages to sell its services and display its abilities. I designed one of the mailers, as well as the landing page; henceforth, I continued making landing pages, as the company discontinued producing mailers.

The Meat Blockade
An ongoing series of title cards for a surreal comedy horror podcast. Struggling writer Karl Berenger cannot catch a break. Whether he’s lost in a city, trying to talk to his crush, or evading the clutches of a nefarious manager, he somehow keeps trucking along after losing his so-called best friend one crazy night. I illustrated all title cards from initial layout concept sketches to the final digitally painted pieces. Creating the character designs, playing with chiaroscuro, working with bold and quirky color palettes, and playing with camera angles made illustrating these pieces a joy.

SunFest 2016
SunFest was a party sponsored by produce companies Sunlight International, Sun World, and Sun Pacific held during the weekend of PMA. The marketing was made to invoke a grungy rock concert, celebrating the band, Lucero, and the party’s attitude of being high on fun and low on spectacle.

Sunlight International 2016 Ad Campaign
A series of three ads designed for Sunlight International’s Pretty Lady and Harvest Hobgoblin grapes. Ads were featured in multiple magazines and online publications, including PMA Fresh Mag, Produce News, The Packer, Asia Fruit, Produce Retailer, and more. Asia Fruit magazine requested a special ad, which became the kaleidoscope, and the Hobgoblin ad was based on marketing materials for the election theme of Sunlight’s PMA 2016 booth. Their winter ad was online only.

HYE Movement (HYE M)
The Hye Movement logo is the official logo of a young adult Armenian volunteer organization that assisted events for the centennial commemoration of the Armenian Genocide. Hye Movement also went by Hye M- a play on words, as “Hye Em” in translates to “I am Armenian,” and the group used the two names interchangeably, so the logo had to communicate both titles simultaneously. The phoenix is comprised of pieces of an Armenian infinity symbol, embodying the Armenian American spirit of resilience, and that from the ashes, we have risen, and continuously rise.

Site design for the Sequoia Council of Boy Scouts of America. I was given a wireframe by web designer Michael Emo and designed the site to his specs. The site is clean, but has some rough edges and textures to imitate children’s handwriting and nature.

Dress for Success Pop-Up Screens & Brochure
Based on the primary Dress for Success site, using images provided by DfS, and following their style guide, I designed these pop-up screens and tri-fold brochures for the new Fresno chapter. The center screen can stand alone if necessary, and the side screens can be swapped or placed elsewhere in a booth space while maintaining visual continuity. The textures, icons, and swoops of the screens and brochure were inspired by the nonprofit’s logo and site elements. If you would like to help Dress for Success Fresno, visit the site for more information.

M+ Brochure
Marketing Plus went through a major face-lift in 2015, and I was responsible for our company’s brochure. Rather than go with a simple trifold, I came up with a circular brochure that exemplifies our tagline, "Concepts in Motion," and is reminiscent of the new logo in shape and color. I kept our fonts and layouts consistant with our business cars and other marketing materials, and utilized clean layouts. I highlighted our best work, most of which I mocked up, and retouched our company group photo.
