Do you perhaps mean the sun-god Auri-El, known in the Empire as Akatosh, the very god your son is devoted to and would eventually invoke, at the cost of his own life? I think about how the Hero of Kvatch is not supposed to be the main character. Even when Uriel is speaking to you he says, "In your face I behold the Sun's companion." Martin is the Sun and you are his companion.

A central purpose of this blog is to help give credit and spread awareness of the artists and designers of TES. I didn't really grasp how much I'd taught myself about the people who make TES until I saw the Oblivion Remaster announcement and I kept seeing faces i knew.

I was like "OMG that's Megan Sawyer! She built Cheydinhal!" and "Hey that's Matt Carofano! He designed The Imperial City! He's Bethesda's Art Director!"

It's a long time coming, but I hope that in a small way, this blog can help foster a deeper appreciation to all the Devs of TES. They deserve to have their names known and credit given to their specific work and creations.

They deserve to see and recognize how much happiness, creativity, and simple joy that their work has inspired. I hope we can give them that.

I kind of wish the Ayleids weren't just elves that used feathers a lot culturally, it would be badass if they were actually feathered. Cyrodiil probably had an ancient race of birdfolk right, and I like the idea that rather than them dying out to the Khajiit early on or simply vanishing, they instead had some interbreeding with the first Ayleids. Elves with feathers, talons, and all that shit would be rad as fuck.
