“You’re fine.”
“Alright,” Nola said but adjusted the space anyway. “Uhm- how you doing?”

“Nah, you’re totally fine. If I want to get around you I can slither my way through.”
Nola let out a nervous chuckle, just the way Sam looked and the thought of her actually making contact with her body made her a bit anxious. “Okay,” she said with a light smile. “Uhm- how are you?”

“Depends on my mood. I’ll probably go with some cheesy romance movie tonight though. You?”
“Nice- I’m watching Bob’s Burgers at the moment,” she said with a soft smile. “It’s a cartoon comedy.”

Finley nodded in agreement and shot another bit of a smile at the girl that was now seated beside her. “Yeah, I’m thinking that curling up on the couch with Netflix and a hot chocolate is sounding pretty good right now.” The blonde mused, pulling her hair into a ponytail to get it out of her face.
“What’s your go to on Netlfix?”

Finley smiled gratefully when Nola offered her her jacket, slipping it around her shoulders and relaxing into the slight warmth. “Thank you. It’s okay…happens sometimes right? How uh…how are you?”
Nola took a sit on the ground next to her, with a safe amount a distance so they weren’t brushing shoulders. She was just waiting for her bro to pick her up anyway so it wasn’t like this was delaying, also the blonde seemed nice- safe. “I’m alright, just a bit tired. Long days as some people would call them,” she said with a light shrug.

“Oh um…yeah, I’m alright.” She mused, offering a small smile. “Just been a bit of a rough day.”
“Oh- you just look like you’re freezing,” Nola said returning the smile. She took off her coat and offered it to the girl. “I don’t mind at all, I’m basically boiling out here. Sorry about your rough day.”

Aaron let out a little hum of acknowledgement, believing her without a second thought. His cooking had always been a disaster so either way, she was a hell of a lot better at it than he was. It was a nice change from ordering pizza every other night. “Quiet,” he answered, a touch of surprise in his tone. “How was yours?”
“Is quiet good?” Nola asked noticing he seemed a bit surprised by that. Quiet in her book was good, it meant no work, limited human interaction, but she didn’t know if quiet was good for him too. She assumed it might be. “Mine was okay, no work today so that is always a plus. I got a new book today as well.”

“You know how to make decent lasagna?”
“I would say my lasagna is more than decent,” Nola said confidently. It was weird living with her brother, but her parents wanted to downsize and retire. Nola felt like a burden there and she wasn’t ready to live alone yet. Being with Aaron felt better than that. It had only been a couple of months but she made sure that she stayed out of his way cleaned up considering she was paying nothing she didn’t want to be a burden on him. “How was your day?”
