And once again I praise POC influenced and led writing. Because this is fantastic and deserves to be praised. Chinese cinema has done so much for Hollywood and western cinema as a whole. And now an Asian actor gets to use those influences to whole new levels. This is incredible story telling and is filled with so much love, nuance, passion and identity. That is amazing and the world is a better place for it god I love Manny Jacinto (he helped with the writing/direction of this homage)

When Li gave Tong the house and gifts, I was like immediately “oh no this girl defs gonna die I’m not ready”

but even knowing it was happening, you best believe I still cried my goddamn heart out

I love how this show’s whole thing is like the tragedy of the female experience, but man is it such a gut punch every time another one of my fave girlies meets a tragic end

imma need some fanfiction writers to do the world a service and write happy endings for all these amazing women okay thank you

okay absolutely cried my eyes out. Couple other things I would have loved in that finale, but mostly a very solid ending for a very solid show
