There's just something about how the ISB never found Andor.

Syril found Andor, too late.

But they never found Cassian Andor - and they'll never know what that specific failure cost them, will they?

The Rebels don't know who was on Aldhani; the Empire will never know who did the job on Scarif.

Where is Andor? They don't know. But he has friends everywhere.

Parallels

Wilmon x Beela / Wilmon x Dreena Cassian x Bix / Cassian x Jyn

It's quite amusing to observe the striking parallels between Wilmon and Cassian (that are unlikely to be mere coincidences in the narrative).

On Mina-Rau, Wilmon had a deeply touching and tender romance with a girl named Beela, who was most likely his first love. However, as we know, due to Imperial intervention, their relationship ends with this exchange:

"I have to go." "You have to tell me where." "It's best you don't know." "Until when?" "I don't know. Until they leave. There's just no choice."

Later, on Gorman, Wilmon meets Dreena, who's part of a rebel cell. Together they survive the Gorman massacre (Wilmon actually went back for Dreena), and subsequently live at the Yavin-4 base where both become active Resistance members.

What I particularly love is how these parallels make the rewatch of Jyn and Cassian's scenes in Rogue One feel even more significant after seeing Andor.

'Chuuya loves kids' 'Chuuya hates kids' neither! Chuuya just grew up in an environment where age didn't matter so he doesn't see it! He doesn't care Q is a child when he wants to kill him, he just doesn't think anything of it. He likes Kenji because he treats him kindly, not because he's young. Chuuya was more capable than most adults when he was still like 10.

I think that another element enforced Ekko's decision to return to his world was that, while he clearly enjoyed his time with Powder, she wasn't his. We see it in that while she uses her genius to help Ekko and Heimerdinger develop the Z-drive, she doesn't do it because she has a passion for it, she does it because a loved one asked her to.

In her world, she already has it pretty good. Life is improving for Zaun, she has her family, she has her Ekko who she is content to act more as his assistant, developing the ideas he comes up with. She likes her little lot in life.

But our Ekko's Powder is Jinx, whose mind is awhirl with changing ideas and chaotic imagination. Who can come up with the bonkers idea of turning her hideout into a goddamn war balloon. Who puts her artistry into her weapons, making it more a part of herself.

That Powder was born of general peace and comfort and deserves the Ekko who shares that experience. But our Ekko, the Boy Savior, knows that despite their sordid history, he can relate more to Jinx than he ever could to Powder.

The song playing during the Timebomb dance and kiss wasn't about being in love with your ENEMY only so some of you guys start saying now that Ekko only loved AU Powder.

He clearly does still like Powder/Jinx in his universe. He clearly had a childhood crush on her and was probably crushed seeing what happened to her and what she ended up becoming while working with Silco, which is why he tried to keep Powder and Jinx separated in his mind, as if Powder was dead and there was only Jinx now. But then when they fought at the end and he saw her face, he saw that Jinx was still Powder, that she was still there. And that's why he couldn't do it.

And seeing this AU Powder? Not just a Powder that he's dating, but one that is flourishing, that had a support system, a lot of people who loved her and were there for her, that was happy? Like he said, he was sorry that he had given up on her in his universe after seeing this. He saw what Powder could've been, what Powder/Jinx could still be. He likes that girl and still cares for her in his timeline.

The Witches' Road (the song) as the third main character. It's where when it all started, with a witch-killer and a little boy. It's a comfort song for a dying boy, it's a protection spell for a daughter, it's a trap and a lie but made true because people (and one special teen) believed in it. It's always there, at the back of Agatha's mind even when she's under Wanda's spell still, it's playing on the backgroud for Billy working as a clue and, unintentionally, an inspiration, it's playing every minute somewhere in the world protecting Alice even after her mother died

Something that gets lost when laughing about Chuuya threatening Dazai with revealing his address to "every woman he's left crying" is that this threat is high stakes

There's a bonus story that comes with Untold Origins about what the ADA was doing the day before Atsushi's entrance exam that, among other things, explains where the fake bomb came from. Dazai was the one it was sent to:

"I had a few ideas as to who it could be." Dazai. Dude. Bro. My man. What.

and later, it happens again:

What Chuuya said was no empty threat nor the threat of receiving a few slaps and choice words. That would be the least of his problems.

IT'S DONE This was actually one of the very first ideas I wanted to draw for skk, because (as someone rightly pointed out in the tags) they are just so in synchro when they work together, I can't help but think that would translate for dancing as well

Everyone always says how Chuuya is weak to poisons, like it his special Achilles' heel, but Chuuya is probably susceptible to poisons the same way Superman is susceptible to magic: it's one of very very few things he doesn't have immunity to. Chuuya reacts to poisons like a normal human being. I bet you Kenji is also "weak" to poisons and so is Akutagawa, Kunikida and every other character who's not Dazai who spent most of his life trying to kill himself and probably poisonsed himself a lot
