2023 Glow-Up (Dark Feminine Edition)
Create a manifestation routine and follow it. Start small (e.g., scripting before bed) and work your way up to meditating and experimenting with different ways to manifest.
Create daily gratitude lists to put yourself in a high vibration. Do this in the morning or at night.
Do something creative once in a while!
Compliment yourself in the mirror every morning while getting ready for the day.
Do one Shadow Work prompt a day. Donât be ashamed if you start crying, thatâs a good sign that emotions are being unrepressed.
Listen to YouTube affirmations every day.
Do a guided confidence meditation.
Pick up a hobby you did as a child and reconnect to your inner child.
Listen to manifestation music while getting ready. Iâd recommend Throat Chakra by Peachkka for those starting the Dark Feminine journey.
Create a list of all your friends and rate their energy out of 10. Cut off those below 7. You need to surround yourself with people whose energy you enjoy.
Block those people who have shown any form of red flags.
Read more books. Any genre.
Write down a list of activities that donât require you going on your phone, and do them every day. Notice how productive you are!
Join a dance and / or a yoga class.

story of my life đ€đč
âMost girls and women understand the risks they take when they become angry. No matter how justified, appearing angry wonât do her any favors and will actually undermine peopleâs perception of her competence and likeability. Studies show that when men are angry, people tend to lose their own confidence and defer to menâs opinions. When women are angry, the opposite happens. Studies also reveal that people will opt to work for angry-sounding aggressive men, but not with angry-sounding aggressive women.â

THE TWELVE HOUSES IN OUR LIVES
one of the interesting things about the houses in astrology is they represent both areas in our life + how we act in those areas (the sign on the house cusp), but also what/who we attract in those areas. i wanted to explore these further, by comparing some things iâve noticed we both act like and attract, depending on which house we are activating/using. we often act and attract the same thing.Â
***attract can also be interpreted as attracted to Â
SIGN ON I HOUSE CUSP:Â
the sign we attract when young or when we are in a room of people we hardly know. this is the sign we usually act like first in our lives (and or the sign of our moon sign). it is very natural and instinctual for us to express the characteristics of this sign. you may act like this while young more so than ever and/or act like this more than ever when in a group of people you are not highly comfortable with.
SIGN ON II HOUSE CUSP:
the sign we attract when we are doing well in all aspects: financially, materially, physically, emotionally, mentally. it is also how we act when we are trying to succeed in these areas and are in situations in which we feel especially successful/secure.
SIGN ON III HOUSE CUSP:
the sign we attract in school (college not included) and how we act in school. we activate this part of ourselves when we are in a learning environment. when we are in this mode, we embody this sign and find ourselves more attracted to it. many of our elementary school friends or favorite teachers could have been this sign.
SIGN ON IV HOUSE CUSP:
the sign we attract when young as well and the sign we are drawn to in general. much like the first house, the fourth house is a key part of our instinctual identity. especially if we had a healthy or mostly healthy childhood, we are likely to want to find people to be our out of family family. it is also how we act when we are young, especially around family and instinctually. when we go through periods in which we feel the need to withdraw into ourselves and feel comfort, we will act a lot like this sign. our favorite family member or someone we meet and instantly feel comfortable with could have this sign.Â
SIGN ON V HOUSE CUSP:
the sign we attract as teenagers and when we are casually dating. it is also how we act as teenagers to an extent and how we act when casually dating. when teenagers, this area of our life typically is more activated than ever, because we are beginning to casually date more frequently, explore what we take the most pleasure in doing, and allow our creativity to shine more. we are romantic in every sense of the word, typically, when we are adolescents/young adults. the crushes we have in high school are often this sign and the types of dates we want to experience are often linked to this sign as well. we often embody many of this signs traits as we attempt to shine.Â
SIGN ON VI HOUSE CUSP:
the sign we attract during our career years; how we act while working. we embody these traits when we are trying to complete tasks and perform our routine to the best of our ability, thus our everyday work life feeds into this quite a bit. we may very well befriend people in our shared work environment of this sign or enjoy the boss with this sign much more than others. this sign is what motivates us to work the best we can, so our work styles are very tied to it.
SIGN ON VII HOUSE CUSP:
this is the sign we are not super aware we attract into our lives, but we always do. itâs often the sign of our enemies, romantic partners, business partners, and close friends (love and hate are closely related). this sign colors our one-on-one relationships. it is often how we unconsciously act when we are ready to commit to and are in long term partnerships (romantic, business, or otherwise). We not be aware that we are acting like this sign, but others are very aware of it.
SIGN ON VIII HOUSE CUSP:
the sign we attract when we are allowing ourselves to be vulnerable and more intimate with a person. perhaps in a moment we would consider weakness, but ends up connecting us more significantly with others. it is how we act when we are being more vulnerable and intimate, usually after acting like the sign on our seventh house cusp. It may also be how we act or what we attract on a more abstract level during death or near death.Â
SIGN ON IX HOUSE CUSP:
the sign we attract during college and travel; how we act when in college or abroad. we may go places that embody the characteristics of this sign or find ourselves connecting to locals of this sign, as well as find ourselves dating or befriending many people of this sign during college. we also embody these characteristics when interacting with new cultures and with people in college.
SIGN ON X HOUSE CUSP:
the sign we attract in the public eye and in career; how we act in the public eye and career. the types of careers we are drawn to and the role models we have often are this sign. this is a sign we respect highly. we long to encompass it wholly, but specifically in public and in our careers. it is often a lifetime goal of acting like this sign.
SIGN ON XI HOUSE CUSP:
the sign we attract when thinking about long term friendships and social issues we care about; how we act in long term friendships and when expressing our social/political ideas. the people who end up sticking around and being big parts of our lives are often this sign. we also seem to act like this sign when with friends, especially ones we are highly comfortable with. also, generally, when looking at our political, social, etc. ideas we can look at this sign.Â
SIGN ON XII CUSP:
the sign we attract when intoxicated or our consciousness is in someway altered, also the characteristics we dream about. how we act when intoxicated, consciously altered, or are dreaming. like the seventh house, we have a hard time recognizing this sign within ourselves and donât know why or how we attract it. when we make a friend while drunk, though, it may be this sign. or when we are dreaming, we often dream about the themes of this sign. we are afraid or embarrassed by it often, but this sign is a big subconscious part of us.

ASPECTS BETWEEN HOUSES: SEXTILE AND TRINE
N.B. I use whole sign houses. Out of sign aspects are not taken into consideration here. Aspects in ancient astrology are sign-based rather than degree-based, so sextiles/trines occur between planets in signs that are naturally sextile/trine each other, regardless of how far apart they are in that sign. More potent aspects are ones that are closest in degree and ones made by the Sun, Moon and chart ruler.
1-3 aspect aspect type: sextile A 1-3 aspect implies useful/skilled assets (sextile) of the two or more planets within the area of life concerning the self, identity, body, physical vitality, character/personal status (1st house) and the area of life concerning the immediate environment, everyday communication (with people in person or on the phone), and how you process these things, neighbourhood and/or sibling matters (3rd house). The planet in the 1st is what you identify and experience regarding self, identity, body, physical vitality and your character/personal status. The planet in the 3rd is what you identify and experience regarding the immediate environment, everyday communication (with people in person or on the phone), and how you process these things, neighbourhood and/or sibling matters.
Both of these planets are cooperating with each other, and provide the individual with useful and skilled assets that they are able to use successfully and efficiently across two houses, according to the nature of what the planets represent in those houses. The cooperation and mutual harmony that exists between them usually means the more positive manifestations of the planets involved are present for the person to use. Sometimes, however, they can assist the individual negatively by supplying them with energy and assets to make something too easy to do, bringing out their more challenging manifestations. Sextiles in particular, in contrast to the trine, tend to be more conscious parts of a personâs psyche because a person has to develop a conscious awareness of them to use them for maximum effect, unlike the trine that exists more naturally and unconsciously in an individual. This can mean that the sextile can be used creatively, intelligently and manipulatively. The sextile occurs between signs that are of a harmonious element, but not the same element; they arenât as natural or integrated as trines, but are instead parts that a person has learned to use dynamically and intelligently within themselves to get what they want.
1-5 aspect aspect type: trine A 1-5 aspect implies useful/skilled assets (trine) of the two or more planets within the area of life concerning the self, identity, body, physical vitality, character/personal status (1st house) and the area of life concerning romance, sexuality, creativity, self-expression, children/the inner child (5th house). The planet in the 1st is what you identify and experience regarding self, identity, body, physical vitality and your character/personal status. The planet in the 5th is what you identify and experience regarding romance, sexuality, creativity, self-expression, children/the inner child.Â
Trines, in contrast to sextiles, tend to be more unconscious parts of a personâs psyche because they exist naturally between signs in the same element; they do not require active awareness or intelligence to use in a specific way. This means that the trine is very potent, for good or ill. It is so natural and unconscious within someone that it is like breathing; this can be good or bad. The potency can sometimes become out of control with a trine. The trine aids a person to do specific things across the two houses according to the planet significations very quickly and skilfully; this can make the individual appear lucky with whatever these things are.
1-9 aspect aspect type: trine A 1-9 aspect implies useful/skilled assets (trine) of the two or more planets within the area of life concerning the self, identity, body, physical vitality, character/personal status (1st house) and the area of life concerning travel, new experiences, higher learning, beliefs you hold (9th house). The planet in the 1st is what you identify and experience regarding self, identity, body, physical vitality and your character/personal status. The planet in the 9th is what you identify and experience regarding travel, new experiences, higher learning, beliefs you hold.
The trine aids a person to do specific things across the two houses according to the planet significations very quickly and skilfully; this can make the individual appear lucky with whatever these things are.
1-11 aspect aspect type: sextile A 1-11 aspect implies useful/skilled assets (sextile) of the two or more planets within the area of life concerning the self, identity, body, physical vitality, character/personal status (1st house) and the area of life concerning friendships, groups, societal issues, patrons, public forum (11th house). The planet in the 1st is what you identify and experience regarding self, identity, body, physical vitality and your character/personal status. The planet in the 11th is what you identify and experience regarding friendships, groups, societal issues, patrons, public forum.
Both of these planets are cooperating with each other, and provide the individual with useful and skilled assets that they are able to use successfully and efficiently across two houses, according to the nature of what the planets represent in those houses. ASPECTS BETWEEN HOUSES: SQUARE AND OPPOSITION
N.B. I use whole sign houses, so squares/oppositions will always take place between planets in signs which square and oppose one another. Out of sign aspects are not taken into consideration here. Aspects in ancient astrology are sign-based rather than degree-based, so squares/oppositions occur between planets in signs which square and oppose one another, regardless of proximity and degree. More potent aspects are ones that are closest in degree and ones made by the Sun, Moon and chart ruler.
1-4 aspect aspect type: square A 1-4 aspect implies a conflict (square) between self, identity, body, physical vitality, character/personal status (1st house) and home/property, family, parents, ancestors, lineage, patrimony, the past (4th house). The planet in the 1st is what you identify and experience regarding self, identity, body, physical vitality, character/personal status; the planet in the 4th is what you identify and experience regarding home/property, family, parents, ancestors, lineage, patrimony and the past. Both of these planets trigger one another, stimulating the drive to take action. They are at cross purposes with one another, and thus may frequently cause the native to be at a crossroads when encountering/dealing with their energies.
1-7 aspect aspect type: opposition A 1-7 aspect implies a projection between self, identity, body, physical vitality, character/personal status (1st house) and relationships and dynamics with other people (7th house). The planet in the 1st is what you identify and experience regarding self, identity, body, physical vitality, character/personal status; the planet in the 7th is what you identify and experience regarding relationships and dynamics with other people. When engaged in your 1st house planet, you may neglect your 7th house planet, thereby focusing on self, identity, body, physical vitality, character/personal status rather than focusing on relationships and dynamics with other people. When engaged in your 7th house planet, you may neglect your 1st house planet, thereby focusing on relationships and dynamics with other people rather than focusing on self, identity, body, physical vitality, character/personal status. Focusing on both at the same time is the key to integration. Until this is achieved, there tends to be a battle of wills between the 1st and 7th house planet. (you vs others).
Both of these planets represent separate/fragmented parts of the psyche, and are a battle of wills between two parts of the psyche and two areas of the individualâs life. These planets also highlight awareness to one another of their shadow side, and need to work on shadow integration in order to balance the dichotomy of the opposition. When this opposition is triggered by transits or timing techniques, it tends to deliver a battle of wills/dichotomy, and/or clear results and endings.
1-10 aspect aspect type: square A 1-10 aspect implies a conflict (square) between self, identity, body, physical vitality, character/personal status (1st house) and career/public status (10th house). The planet in the 1st is what you identify and experience regarding self, identity, body, physical vitality, character/personal status; the planet in the 10th is what you identify and experience regarding career/public status. Both of these planets trigger one another, stimulating the drive to take action. They are at cross purposes with one another, and thus may frequently cause the native to be at a crossroads when encountering/dealing with their energies.

Green witchery: The basics
Being a green witch basically means you want to incorporate plants and nature into your craft! Other names include: nature witch, plant witch, garden witch, forest witch, etc.! Iâll talk about some of the basics being a green witch could entail, but this certainly isnât an all-encompassing list!
On gardens and growing plants:
Whether you have a flourishing garden filled with everything one could possibly think of, a little windowsill herb garden with the bare essentials or one potted succulent; thereâs no denying the joy that comes from helping green things grow!
A container around 2-3 feet deep and filled with soil is perfect for growing potatoes! Plop âem in, water them occasionally and harvest in the fall.
Plant things for the butterflies and bees!
Sage, rosemary, basil, mint, thyme, oregano and cilantro are all helpful herbs that you might consider planting.
Daffodils, marigolds, roses, sunflowers and primroses are my favorite witchy flowers.
Eggshells and banana peels are your friends.
These food plants can easily be regrown.
#garden witch / #garden magic / #garden tips
On bringing the green in (houseplants):
Letâs be real, not of all of us have access to areas for planting gardens, or infinite space for indoor plants! It can make being a green witch a bit tricky.Â
Spider plants, lucky bamboo, air plants, aloe vera (succulents) and cacti are all pretty easy houseplants.
Terrariums are adorable and you can make them into mini gardens!
Grow one plant for each area of your life (happiness, mental health, etc) [source]
You can get bulbs for grow lights that fit into normal lamps, just be sure to put the plants directly under it!
Watering plants with rainwater will make them happy!
#houseplant magic / #houseplant tips
On incorporating nature:
Find a place outside you can safely visit. Try to spend at least five or more minutes a day sitting and watching. Quiet your mind and just be. (This could be your front porch or backyard, it doesnât have to be in the forest)
Wander on some nature trails. Visit the local body of water. Walk outside.
Start taking pictures of beautiful wild places, or wildlife.
Learn about what birds and animals live in your area, and perhaps what their tracks look like.
Climb a tree, go swimming in wild waters, take your shoes off and feel the ground beneath your feet, remove invasive plants and plant native ones, pay attention to weather patterns, collect rainwater, etc.
#nature witch / #nature magic / #connecting to nature
On wild plants:
Get some basic plant field guides. I really like Audubon and Peterson, along with Botany in a Day.Â
There are also plant apps and websites.Â
Learn what plants have poisonous look-alikes and how to tell the difference.
Get a calendar. Go out at least once a week and document what stages the different plants are in. For example: March 4th. Oso berry leaves almost open. Nettles small but fully established. Bitter cherry has unopened flower buds. Salmonberry leaves almost open. Also worth adding where (elevation/location) which is SUPER helpful for harvesting reference later.
Pick a plant a week and research/journal it. Points include: What it looks like, what look-alikes there are, ecosystem + elevation it grows in, medicinal uses, edible uses, magical uses, etc.
Harvest plants and use them for medicine and food after safely doing research*.

Note
03 June 2000, Bradford UK, 23:22, Male. Would leave a reading
Capricorn ASC + Gemini Sun + Cancer Moon
4H Saturn + 5H Sun + 6H Moon
What a babe. I mean seriously, you must have a ton of admirers. Capricorn on the ascendant is said to give differing appearances with a lot of them veering toward the negative. I think this is based on the fact that Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, traditionally viewed as the Greater Malefic. He was revered and reviled around the time that Hellenistic astrologers were beginning to describe the countenance with the sign on the ascendant. In actuality, Capricorn on the ascendant tends to give dark hair, dark eyes, a paler range of complexion, and fantastic bone structure, particularly when Saturn is in good shape. Your Saturn is angular and exactly conjunct the Greater Benefic, Jupiter in the Venus-ruled sign of Taurus. Iâm sure youâre quite handsome. You may not be as thin as your average Capricorn ascendant due to this conjunction in Taurus, but that just means thereâs a little more of you to love. Weight may tend to creep up more as the years go by. As an aside, this means you were born during the last Great Conjunction. Thereâs going to be another Great Conjunction this year in the sign of Aquarius.
When I mention admirers, however, Iâm not talking about strictly in terms of your appearance. Saturn as your ruling planet conjunct with Jupiter gives you shades of realistic optimism. You have ambition but are pragmatic. You want to make a positive impact on your environment and youâre absolutely capable of it. Sometimes you might bite off more than you can chew, and that can cause depression because youâre not used to failure, even under circumstances when most would fail. You love home and family, your roots are everything. You likely have a large family that is very serious when it comes to family values, this has given you a strong base in life. Youâre a reliable, affable person- though you do very much like to have things your way. In fact, you may not give others much of an option with this. The way you go about it however, doesnât usually provoke much opposition. This is all very apparent to others when you interact with them. Now I will say that there is an element of self-sabotage in you that probably donât fully understand yourself. There is an element to your personality that you are out of touch with which is erratic, neurotic, anxious, and sometimes just fucks shit up purely to be disruptive. Itâs like a short fuse that goes off every now and then, it gives others whiplash. This puts strain on you too, as you like to be seen as orderly, responsible, capable. Flying off the handle at completely unexpected intervals doesnât really lend to that, but you return to regularly scheduled programming in a reasonable enough amount of time and stay that way long enough that others would probably only see you as âoccasionally unpredictableâ. The issue really is that your true nature is quite a bit more spontaneous than perhaps youâd like to be viewed. The repression of that spontaneity can result in an internalization of anxiety which effectively turns you into a pressure cooker. Gotta let the steam off somewhere, because if you donât actively choose to vent this energy, it will explode. Unplanned and uncontrolled explosions rarely do anything productive in the scope of our lives, wouldnât you agree?
An effective way for you to vent this is through creative pursuits, hobbies (which you probably have a ton of, there may be several sports you are good at also), interacting with children, and romance. Youâre actually a super romantic guy, although your attentions are numerous and probably quite fleeting. The 5th house Venus-Sun-Mars conjunction in Gemini shows someone whose identity is flirtatious and loves to spit game. Youâre charming and others find you attractive, thatâs just how it is. Itâs just all-around fun for you to play the field and it takes a lot of mental engagement to hold your attention. Youâre probably seen as someone who very actively pursues various interests, possibly at the same time. But that Cancer moon belies somebody who isnât just a player. Youâre a very sensitive, caring individual at your emotional core. Helping others gives you genuine satisfaction. You show others you care by helping them accomplish things and fussing over their health. Youâre seen as a super caring employeeâperhaps a bit too sensitive at timesâbut typically you are viewed as alert and intelligent. You could be prone to sulking when you donât get your way. You may also be prone to ups and downs with your health and you probably have a touch more of hypochondria than most. Your health is dependent on minimizing your nerves and keeping your emotions level.
I had mentioned children before- they are likely to figure prominently in your life. You will probably have several- itâs (loosely) possible you will have twins. Ultimately, you pursue romance for the purpose of finding your soulmate. With your North Node in the 7th house, marriage may be the destiny (although the 7th house also has themes of working with the public, the law, contracts, etc⊠North Node in Cancer may also denote fame with the general public). With Cancer on the 7th sheâs going to be a very feminine woman, someone to be the mother of your children. She will make you work hard for her affections and this will draw you in further and breed your respect for her. (In the case that you are not attracted to females, this will still manifest as a search for a nurturing, motherly partner. You will fulfil the more paternal role between the two of you.) Now it seems like Iâm digressing from the ASC-SUN-MOON description here, but I mention all of this because this is paramount to your emotional makeup as your Moon sits in Cancer, ruling the 7th cusp from the 6th house. With the Moon owning this cusp and the North Node, it shows that this relationship alone will most likely provide you with the majority of your emotional sustenance.
But again, we have a disconnected element of the personality that is causing trouble at times while your conscious mind is elsewhere. You suck the wind out of your own sails and do not always actively pursue what you know would make you happy. Itâs possible you may struggle with alcohol or drug use which sabotages your search for your partner. It could cause you to feel badly about yourself and think poorly of yourself. You may not understand why sometimes you slip into self-destructive habits wherein you make yourself appear to be less reliable than you truly are. You want your partner to want you for representing the âproviderâ archetype. Strong, authoritative, reliable, a protector. And yet you choose to do things that don't allow you to represent yourself in this light at times. Alternatively, it could be the very fact that you pursue many interestsâa romantic/sexual âaddictionâ, in effectâthat is somewhat sabotaging your ability to find the type of partner you want. The type of partner you want is looking for someone committed, remember? Even if you are not in a relationship at the time, a potential partner witnessing an endless stream of romantic trysts could have them writing you off as effervescent and noncommittal; halting the possibility of a relationship before there was a chance for that possibility to truly exist.
This impulse is related to the very same disconnect as I indicated above: You are a deeply sensitive and empathic person, but your inability to consciously exert control on this aspect of yourself can cause it to wig out in detrimental ways. Your system canât always handle the excess of emotional and environmental information it receives, for many this results in attempts to stave the flow. This is frequently achieved by pursuing illusion and numbing the senses with drugs, some can also overuse the physical senses as way to drown out empathetic reception. You should channel your deep sensitivity into affecting structural, societal transformations which will liberate others. I would point out too that right now others are very aware of your tendency to self-sabotage in both capacities Iâve mentioned- however when you manage to direct these energies effectively, you will cease to be seen this way. People will view you as humanitarian, idealistic, compassionate, transcendental, and revolutionary. It looks like that 7th house North Node really is about caring for the public, doesnât it? I hope and pray that you choose to use your gifts, the world needs them!
