SECRET OF THE MIMIC RANT LALALA

I just really want to rant about fnaf since no matter what I do it comes back to me every year....

I've seen so much discourse over SotM (i think thats what ppl are shortening it to) and honestly I think it's extremely unfair. YES, the plot is no longer the same. YES, we aren't connected to the Aftons directly anymore. YES, Scott isn't the one making these games.

Just like every other OG fan of fnaf, I miss when it was much more easy to understand and honestly made more sense. Personally, I ignore all lore that was introduced after Pizza Simulator and I think a lot of others did too. I still love the new fnaf games though, and Security Breach is actually one of my favorites out of this game series! I understand if they aren't people's cup of tea anymore, but the way some people talk about these new games is just kinda... unfounded to me.

For example, I've seen a lot of people have issue with the fact we are going into the "book lore" or something. But like. We are NOT talking about those stupid Bonnie Guppies?? We are simply exploring the world Fnaf takes place in, which is kinda what the books did.(Although frankly, it was much more silly) I may not understand much of the new lore, but I can recongize they aren't focusing on the main plot anymore because it has been OVERDONE. They are actually fleshing out the world, and honestly, that's way better than nothing at all.

The games aren't perfect and are certainly buggy, but that is expected from any game out there. Secret of the Mimic was genuinely enjoyable to watch imo, and I loved all the creativity that was put into it! So yk next time I see someone saying "Why don't they go back to the old Fnaf?" I'm gonna spit on their shoes because it's kinda obvious you only miss being a kid playing/watching those old games. Go find a fan game to play instead because I promise you there are THOUSANDS.

TLDR: SotM is cool and is trying to expand how we see the world of Fnaf! If you don't like it, that's alright!!

(Also if this seems bad grammar wise, it's because I am NOT proof reading this. Ain't no way you catching me do that on a Tumblr post. Also feel free to continue this point in comments or something! I love hearing other's opinions about new Fnaf)

BORED here are my shaylas baby xara and romeo💔💔🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀 and by baby i do mean they are both like 17 here . sketch only because this is actually a redraw and i wanted to capture the spirit of the original (also i had an exam today so i was feeling lazy)

anyway!!!! yes this is sort of ship art i do ship them but above everything i ship polyadmins (is this even the ship name ? I don’t know) because thats literally top 1 ship in the fandom sorry . also i dont think they would have gotten together until much later than this . I will gladly outline my whole headcanon admin timeline on here if anyone asks . I think about them . But i will say here that i think romeo and xara were family friends since they were really young, and they only met fred later (when they were around 17)

ok there isn’t much difference but i didnt spend long on this sketch and the original was only from october . I’m just realising now that i moved them apart and the composition is a little worse because of it . it’s fine . I’ll fix it later if i colour this.

Hmmm I wonder if the creator of this animatic (me) used a typewriter font on purpose.. (i did because i like to think it's a nod towards lukas / aiden's idea to build a house and try writing once he serves his time)

I have A LOT to say about Aiden but I'm too tired to do so correctly. I just think Mr. Stirpicus did a FANTASTIC job writing him (and Stella, for that matter)

This wasn't *intended* to be shipping on my end, but you can interpret my art however you'd like to! Either way, Aiden is supposed to be the main focus here.

(Hopefully my art will be more consistent now that I'm finally getting out of artblock)
