Perhaps it was only a slip of tongue, or an accidental expression of the emotions that the Earl kept hidden, that he had addressed you as 'mother' while thanking you for the tea you had prepared for him.

The young master cleared his throat once again before saying, " You both are dismissed," proceeding to drink the tea you had prepared in an attempt to regain his demeanor. You nod, turning around to take your leave and so does Sebastian, but are stopped by Ciel once again.

"And I would appreciate it if not a word of this incident is ever spoken of again." he says for a final time, returning to his paperwork. The butler smirks at his master's vulnerability, before opening the room of the door for you to exit like the gentleman he is.

He leaves the room followed by you, shutting the door close behind him. A chuckle escapes his lips before he turns to you, who was still lost in thought. His arms snake around your waist and pull you closer to his chest.

"Mother, eh?" he teases you, tucking his chin over your head. "What an excellent mother you'd make."

Your blush fuels once again and you grab hold of his arms to loosen them and turn around to face him.
