     “ You’d be able to manage that ? ” As far as this iteration of Earth is concerned, he doesn’t even exist. There’s no record for him anywhere. It’s as if he’s the alien ( what an odd thing to face ). “ I definitely won’t turn down the opportunity ! If I’m going to be... if I’m going to be staying around here for a while it’s best I give back to the world around me. Though I’m not sure what use there is for someone like me, but I know enough to trust you with it ! As to shopping for clothes, any time or day is good for me ! I’m not really preoccupied with much else lately. ”

Dolphin

Known for its playful and upbeat nature, the Dolphin is in fact one of the smartest animals, besides humans. Their sometimes accepting behavior around us has lead to them as being a symbol of protection and kindness. Like the Dolphin, you are a very creative and cheery individual, but intelligent as well. “i would not call them DUMB, not to their face. faces.” he lifts a hand, allowing one claw to rest gently in his palms. fingers curling, stroking the warm metal. all the while, the other three have turned to the spartan, opening their claws, giving a warning hiss. he simply chuckles. “they can see what i see, and i see through them, as well. they each have their own personalities, as well.”

they were his children. his favorite project. through all he’d endured, they had been his constant companion. they had been the only things to keep him alive– to even TRY. at first, he had resented them, resented what they had done. but now…

“they’re my children.” turning his gaze on the other, eyebrow arched. “and you? what sort of experience do you have with ai?”

     “ Oh, I mean no offense by it ! I am sorry if it came across that way ! Those are simply the standard UNSC classifications that they give all AI. I picked it up from a few overheard conversations. I mean, they really do give me nothing better to do. It’s like they don’t trust me or something. It’s not very fair, if you ask me. But nobody does. ”

     If only they treated him as if he had any semblance of intelligence normally. Though his in the field actions have called a lot down on his head, and none of it is very good. Outside of the battlefield and boredom, he tends to be able to hold decent conversations. Most of the time. 

     “ Me ? Trusted with any AI ? They’d never do that. I mean, yeah, it kinda stings knowing my armor could house one and that other SPARTANs have gotten to experience one once or twice, but it’s better not to dwell on it ! I mean, it might be a little odd sharing everything about yourself with another personality. I wouldn’t know how well I integrate with it until one gets put in, so maybe it’s best I just never find out. I’ve had AI handlers on missions. Gotten information from them, orders. It’s not unusual. I’ve conversed with one or two before aboard a UNSC ship. But they don’t let me go too extensive with any. Can’t figure out why. ” 

     His last statement is a lie, one he figures he’ll get away with seeing as the man before him doesn’t really know his reputation.

Here he comes, right over to her, putting his arms right around her and lifting her off the ground. He keeps her in that firm hug for a moment before setting her back down on the ground. " You looked a little lonely ! So I decided to fix it ! "

   feeling arms wrap around her made her jump and almost squeal , but she managed to not let that noise escape her . she would ‘ ve returned the hug had he not gotten her arms into the hug as well ; it was like being stuck in a big , cute and cuddly bear trap . just … less pain .

   hana let out a surprised but delighted laugh , bonking her head against his in reciprocation as best she could . she had been feeling a little lonely , actually . having a best friend like deke in the military was incredibly rare . she felt lucky .

   ❛       dekes !!! warn me next time , 큰 녀석 !   ❜ her hand grabbed his and squeezed , before she did the swinging motion between them like they were kids ( they might as well have been . )

   Peculiar man he is,  assuming she meant another being  ( though she says that to animals as well ).  ❝ Okay.  I have nothing better to do anyway.  What is the issue you are having? ❞  She is honestly not the best with newcomers  –  especially with her personality set to give others a sense of unease.  Not that she could help it.

     “ Wouldn’t call this situation ideal, but I’ll take it. ” It’s said aloud, though probably would do better internalized. A breath in, a few seconds pause, a breath out. Keep a level head. As level as one possibly could getting thrown into an unknown situation again. At least he can remain aware through these. Something he should question but doesn’t. “ First things first. Where am I ? I... seem to be lost. Again. This happens. A lot. ”

Hello we’re all up to date here on threads. Everything is in queue and set to go so now it’s time to tackle Carter which is significantly more to do. Oops.

You will always get one of two things when you get close to Deke. 

You either get the devoted big brother figure who will stop at nothing to make sure you are having a good day and defend you no matter what comes along, you can always count on your new big bro for anything and everything. 

Or you get the really tall, strong and very loving boyfriend who makes you a big priority and tries to make sure you know just how much he treasures you and every moment he gets to spend with you. 

There’s really no in between if you spend the time to get close to him; you will get one outcome of the other.

Oh, here he comes, right for her. His arms open, giving her warning before he puts his arms around her, lifting her off the ground as if she were a feather, a wide grin on his features. " Afternoon ! "

    A laugh erupted from the woman as she got lifted up for an embrace .   She swore the extreme positive aura radiating from him is something she had never felt or experience in a while .   Wrapping her arms around Deke ,   she nuzzled in .   ❝ Good afternoon !   How are you feeling ? ❞

                          “no sir, you were told someone with a really big gun was needed. those are two very different things,” it rolls off the tongue wit an almost excited bubble, hoisting the obnoxiously large napalm thrower just that little bit higher off the ground, though promptly dropping it again in favour of taking the SPARTAN’s hand with the same pride and fervor, “sergeant hunniechurch, sir, and i believe i have a solution to your covenant problem,”

     “ Oh. ” There’s an embarrassed tone to his voice, and an awkward pause that follows. “ You... You have said really big gun around here somewhere ? ” Suddenly the standard AR he carries with him feels really inadequate. He feels inadequate, and it comes across in the rather meek way he ends up shaking her hand before letting go and letting his arm fall a little limply to his side. Oh boy. They probably made a mistake sending him. “ I... I, uh, I can do anything you ask of me, I’m sure ! ” He’s not even sure he has any face left to save at this point, though he attempts to regardless.

     “ Shouldn’t I be the one making myself more accessible for you ? ” There’s laughter hiding in his tone, a smile crossing his lips, before he leans himself down to her level. “ Unless you like climbing SPARTANs. Then, of course, I have no rights to talk. ” He wouldn’t blame her for it, if he was in her position he might find the challenge worthwhile. 

     “ Just give a tug if you want me to lean down, I can promise you I will. ” With that said, he leans forward to gently press his lips to hers. He’s not shy about it; if he loves someone, they’re going to know.

Binging RvB and honestly Deke would.... fit right on in. I mean I’m only at Volume 4 but the atmosphere so far is kind of really Deke.

     honestly , hana could barely contain her snickers and giggles herself . how he had managed to go so long without breaking was beyond her . though upon the 7th cake , he snapped and she did too , his laughter contagious .

     she plucked a ricecake up and took a bite , still eating despite her big grin .

     “ You know, if we practiced that enough, we’d be able to showcase some real talent ! Make everyone else bask in how cool we are ! ” Cool for stacking food on an otherwise energetic SPARTAN. That’s certainly how it goes. With a single fluid motion, he pulls the helmet from his head, shaking his head for a moment as he sets the helmet aside before running a hand through close cropped blond hair, flashing a wide grin her way before picking up one of the rice cakes himself, making a toast motion toward her with it. 

     “ Snacks first. ” He lets a snort go again, before he starts to laugh, preventing him from taking a good bite. That was the way it went with his best friend; she always had some way to make him laugh ( at this rate he’ll not get to eat, not that he minds it ).
