He had kind of been hoping people would leave him alone. He’d definitely been hoping the Federation would leave him alone. No dice, apparently.

Bagi sighs as he reads over his messages. He doesn’t really get it, whatever this task is that he needs to do. Then again, he doesn’t even know why he’s here, period. Might as well do whatever this is.

The terminology is strange, but from what he can glean he has his first mission: find Empanada.

Bagi found a pickaxe in a random chest. It was only stone, so he didn’t feel that bad about taking it. The lid of the chest was coated in dust; he didn’t think anyone’d be missing it.

It’s slow going, mining out a temporary shelter. The mineshaft construction is even slower. His body hurts. At least he’s muscular enough to mine at all.

It takes a couple weeks of sweat and the echoing sound of his shoddy pickaxe chipping away at the earth before, finally, something glints in the darkness. Carving out the metal from the surrounding stone, Bagi can’t help but smile.

He can work with this.

Bagi isn’t quite sure where he is.

He’s been dumped here, essentially. He’s got a little satchel, his meager belongings from the prison tossed unceremoniously inside.

There’s a bench nearby, so he sits on it, trying to catch his breath. He hadn’t needed any mobility aids in the cell, so apparently those people hadn’t thought to give him some now. Not that he’d asked.

Honestly, he’s not really sure what he’s supposed to be doing right now. He prolly should have stayed with the others, but they all moved a bit too fast for him.

He needs a plan. And a wheelchair.
