Shy toddler Ole

Ole buried their head into the somewhat large teddy bear they were carrying and said “im not pouting!” They heard their brother beside them shuffle, and Ole started to get poked. Before long, it had turned into an annoying presence. Ole, with a huff, Hopped off the double chair, dragging their teddy bear all the way to the kitchen. The ‘cabinets’ as Ole recently learned to call them and not ‘large boxes’ were always interesting to look through, and they hoped they could escape the annoying older sibling they had. With Inky’s help, Ole pulled open the door to the cabinet, and was greeted to the sight of a jar. It said something along the lines of peanut butter or something. Ole tilted their head, and shouted “Hey Towne! Look what i found!” After Towne had slightly tottered into the kitchen, Ole dragged the surprisingly heavy jar out, and they saw Towne cringe away. “Ugh, don’t make me look at peanut butter.” He scoffed and rolled his eyes.Immediately Ole teared up and buried their head in Inkys fur. “No no, I didn’t mean to make you cry! Please don’t cry!” Towne said in a panicky voice. “And whats going on here?” The louder voice of Glitchy dad could be heard from the doorway. “Ole’s starting to cry because i didn’t like the peanut butter!” Towne said again from Oles' side. They were suddenly lifted the air, and after a little bit of sniffing, Ole saw glitchy dads face and Nature dad right beside him. Now they were in their bed, and despite their best efforts to get out of it to get inky, who ole had foolishly left down in the kitchen, they couldn’t get over the barrier. Ole angrily fell asleep that night, but the next morning inky was safely in their bed again, so all was well in the multiverse again.

This is the beginning of the deviation from the canon storyline. I am so excited to get these pages out to you all! That last page took me so long and it turned out almost exactly as I wanted it to!

For anyone who wonders… The wingdings behind the word say the same thing as the words. I’m going to start doing that a lot in chapter 1 when it comes.

Oleander’s Birthday

The lights in Oleander’s eyes flickered to life. After a quick glance at the calendar on the wall they groaned. Of course it was today, they forgot.

Their birthday. A ritualistic experience that consisted that of giving gifts to the person in question and singing. Ugh. Attention. Oh well, best get it over with. 

Oleander decided that the sooner that they get this over with, the sooner they could go back to their room and binge their television shows.

Really, what was the point of birthdays? Hooray, you survived another year! Here's a cake and presents. At least one of Ole’s parents shared their opinion. Sadly, they hadn't told fatal yet that they thought the ritual of celebrating one's birth was overrated so they had to put up with it. Fatal would even support them on this and Oleander knew it, so Ole had decided to turn the tables on their family.

This year, they would be giving their family members gifts. A fool-proof plan for telling them all to stop celebrating their birthday.

As Oleander threw open the door to their bedroom, they were greeted with the sight of streamers. Oh god, it was already making Ole physically cringe away. Nevertheless, they persisted.  In the next room, lets see, balloons were over there, the table with exactly 3 presents was off to that side, and the cake was on the counter. Yep, this met all the norms for a basic birthday party.

“So dear sibling of mine, do you like your party set up?” Towne asked as he threw his arm around Ole’s neck.

Oleander glared at their brother and if looks could kill, Towne would be on fire right now.

”I see that you're having a great time!” Lavender said from the stairs as he was walking down them to the room his children were in. Instead of glaring at his father, Ole just went to go sit at the table.

Fatal came into the room moment later and he and Lavender joined Oleander at the table. Shortly after Towne sat, and all except Ole began to sing. After their family had sung happy birthday to them, Ole opened the first present.

“Oh wow! Premium peanut butter!” They said happily. You know, this part wasn’t half bad. The next present was... interesting to say the least. They could very well guess who had given them the succulent. That means the last present could only be from Towne.

“After this, I need to ask you guys something.” Oleander said as they picked up the last present. Fatal and Lavender nodded.

Before Oleander could open the badly wrapped box, Towne spoke up. “Wait wait wait dear sibling of mine! This present can only be opened with your eyes closed!” He said with a chuckle as he plucked it out of Ole’s hands. They sighed and realized they had no choice but to close their eyes and go along with it.

Oleander heard the sound of wrapping paper being torn open, and soon they felt something soft land in their hands. Opening their eyes they saw what Towne had given them.

A bright yellow, apple scented, velvet teddy bear.

Fatal and Lavender just looked on in horror and Fatal put his hands over Lavender’s ears. Before Ole gathered all the air in the room into their lungs to shriek, they looked Towne dead in the eyes. With that single look, said a sentence.

About thirty minutes later, when everyone's ears had mostly stopped ringing, A small skeleton wearing an outfit that consisted of shades of browns and a sash with rainbow vials showed up. He said that he had heard what could only be described as jet engine screaming, and wanted to know if everything was ok.

When Oleander came out to their parents as agender emotions were high and the atmosphere was tense. One evening Oleander lost it and just screamed at their father and left the room. Later when Fatal and Lavender went to check on them all was explained and all was better.

Back with the olewitch material! Oleander realizes something isn’t quite right and upon further inspection... discovers its because Witch stole their flower crown. 

Like their father, Lavender, when Oleander is without their flower crown for too long their magic begins to weaken and after a while they begin to feel dizzy. Witch realized this of course and eventually gave the crown back to Ole.
