Actually, it's worse. Nazi Germany did a pretty good job of... how do I put this? ... "hiding" the atrocities I guess. Because people knew that the 'unwanted' were being shipped off. But they didn't know that they were being starved, worked to death, and killed. This sounds terrible but Nazi Germany did a decent job at hiding the terrible things that they did. People knew, sure. But not enough. Not like we do. We know.
Republican America isn't even keeping their atrocities secret. Whether they are just okay with publicly being terrible humans or if they're just too dumb to hide it, their crimes are already out in the open. We're not going to walk into a 'work camp' or 'prison' after all this is done and then realise the loss, torture, humiliation, and degradation. We know it now.
Nazi Germany was bad, yes. But they were hampered by a few things. Firstly, they were keeping things (the worst things) under cover. That meant that as bad as they were, they couldn't do too much. There was only so much space to work on. And that brings us to the second point. They were in the middle of other countries. There was easy access for Nazi Germany to be invaded. The militaries of other countries could easily reach them. And that was good. Because it meant that the end came quicker. Liberation and defeat of the Nazis came quicker.
But Republican America doesn't have these two problems. Firstly, they don't need to keep things on the downlow. Why would they? If we, the people, know about the bad stuff that we can compare to the Nazis, then what don't we know? They don't need to hide the bad stuff because we can focus on that. And why should they worry about hiding it? They just don't. Because, point two, who is going to stop them? Canada? (I wouldn't mess with them Canadians). But who else? Mexico, sure, maybe the Caribbean? But unlike in Nazi Germany, Republican America is isolated. And that's good for them. Because they are so impractically far away from the rest of the world (South America, Canada and the island nations excluded) that it would be difficult to invade. And how can the international world protect the vulnerable people without invading? This means that it will take longer. Sure, boycott. Sure, isolate. That's what they want. They want the international world to move away from them. The end won't come so quickly, and their reign if terror will last.
Then, there is another point to consider. Power. When the Nazis started their reign of terror... well... no one really liked them. They took over a weak country. No one really respected them. But Republican America? Boy of boy. Republican America got lucky. Because the nation they got to take over was well established, respected, and powerful.
So, in conclusion:
Republican America is not similar to Nazi Germany. It's not a slippery slope. But it's not exactly the same. It's worse. So much worse.

If it ain't broke, Trump'll break it. #immigration
