SERIOUS ACE ATTORNEY FAN THEORY!!!!!!
Phoenix Wright is an enigma of a man. He poses so many questions: How did he survive a 40-foot fall into a river? How did he take a hit with a fire extinguisher and not have his skull cracked open? How does he cope so well being abused in court by whips and having mugs of coffee thrown at his head? Why is his hair Like That?
Well I can answer all of these questions by posing one more!
What shape does his hair resemble?
Boom.

TAKE THAT!
That's right! I posit to you that Phoenix Wright's hair is not hair at all but a bicycle helmet! This is the secret to his immortality! Safety gear! It's already canon that he cycles everywhere, so this makes total sense. The man is bald as the judge under that thing and I will die on this hill.
Thanks for coming to my talk, I will take no further questions 😎
#capcom has the chance to do the funniest thing#which is give him a hairspray brand called 'plotte armore' or something#SOME kinda pun off of 'plot armor'

So I've gotten into the Ace Attorney games lately. Played the first trilogy ages ago but then realized I can have almost the entire collection on just the 3ds itself (hShop makes them really easy to acquire, too).
I want to put every single prosecutor from every single game in a room together (except for The Paynes and Manfred Von Karma) just to watch them interact. Let them all have a family dinner together. Order them all McDonalds and watch them react to the food or something. I feel like it'd be intriguing. Each one is more over-the-top dramatic than the last, and I love them for it.
Also: so far we've had a case of: "the prosecutor did it", "your client did it", "your defense attorney mentor did it", and "the detective did it". When are we gonna have a case where the JUDGE is guilty?
I want the silly judge we all know and love get accused of murder and the culprit be the judge that's overseeing his case because framed *our* judge for some reason and wanted to ensure a guilty verdict, but because all the evidence pointed to them do hard they get arrested then and there right in the courtroom.
It'd be on par for the franchise I feel like.
#oobie rambles#ace attorney#i just started spirit of justice and haven't played the miles edgeworth games or the GAA games yet#don't tell me if i predicted anything /j

reminder to myself and whoever else needs it to stop feeding the machine. I'm aware I'm yelling into the void but look at the past couple years of games. They're pushing $70, $80, $100!!! for games that are completely unfinished, unpolished, and sometimes completely unplayable. Yes the game showcases were cool. The doom game looks sick and I don't even go there, but they're shaking the shiny keys to distract you and get you swept up in the hype. They're going to push so much fomo marketing to get you to jump for it full price.
Wait for sales. Wait and buy a used copy. Hell, wait a couple days (even hours!!!) after launch and reviews and breakdowns will start coming out. Our game backlogs are already packed, and mr big AAA studio can deal with some of us waiting to see if they actually delivered what was promised.
#THIS THOUGH#100%#IT'S SO MADDENING#I miss when games were finished when they released#back before expansions were a thing#and gameplay glitches were like cool tricks you can flex about knowing and they'd never get fixed in an update#not something that breaks a game on launch day and causes you to wait until it's patched!!

I love it when retro games are conspicuously much shittier than what they're ostensibly emulating. Like, no, the N64's textures weren't that low-resolution. CRT televisions didn't look like that unless they had a busted timing circuit. The simulated rounding error on those vertices is about an order of magnitude too high if this is supposed to be PS1 style. It's physically impossible for a VHS tape to do that. It's fantastic.
#gaming#retro gaming#it's honestly hilarious i love it#nothing says retro like your shit being busted#yet you're using it anyway#that's the energy i get from it

Was the Protagonist Bomberman in Bomberman Land for the Wii meant to be nonbinary but nintendo decided to use masculine terms or was this game intentionally meant to be positive towards crossdressing?
Either way I'm all for whatever's going on with the style system
#oobie rambles#bomberman#games that are far from perfect but they still made me gay when i played them as a kid /j#bomberman land wii

I figured out how to connect a wii remote to my computer.
I feel unstoppable now!
#oobie rambles#the wii was an excellent console imo but it is a BITCH to emulate#so many games have a unique utilization for the motion controls#so there's no one size fits all for configuration if you use anything other than a wii remote
