CONNECTING MY PAST WITH HR DOMAIN
In past, commerce students had not been exposed to the multitude of career opportunities that are available to them today; pursuing an MBA Human Resource was far fetched. This was especially in a time when women were looked upon as second-class citizens and not considered for roles that required intellectual input and decision making. But times have changed and the professional landscape today offers women an array of avenues to explore and let their professional aspirations take flight – of which the MBA Human Resource is one, the other being to take up an executive position and join the ranks of today’s leadership.
One of the reasons why an MBA in Human Resource is a great option for women is because HR is about people, making it an ideal job for a caring and nurturing woman who has a good understanding of human behavior. HR also provides a plethora of opportunities in a wide range of corporate settings, allowing a commerce student to work in a team setting, in a traditional office space, and even remotely when it comes to the changing world of remote work. HR professionals also get to strategize and negotiate while traveling to various conferences, meeting with recruiters, and working within the regulations of various corporate frameworks.
Furthermore, an MBA Human Resource provides a commerce student an opportunity to hone her people skills. This is crucial for HR professionals since managing people is a significant part of the job. An MBA Human Resource grad develops emotional intelligence, the ability to handle a range of personalities, and smart decision-making. All of these are essential in creating a productive work environment and team dynamics.
Apart from being equipped to manage people and creating a positive work environment, an MBA Human Resource student also benefit from the strategic components of the program. By taking up a program in human resource, one is exposed to organizational behavior and industrial psychology, which helps them understand the dynamics of their organization and its environment. This, in turn, gives her the tools to understand why certain workplace policies are necessary and how employees will react to them.
Being a bright commerce student, a woman pursuing an MBA Human Resource should also pay attention to the legal side of the job. An individual with a sound knowledge of organizational law can apply her understanding when dealing with other departments. HR is ultimately responsible for all employee-related matters, from recruitment and performance to labor relations and disputes. With a good sense of the law, an HR professional can also identify potential remedies available to them in a dispute situation, enabling the business to resolve issues competently and ethically.
Being a commerce student of the past, you have a much brighter future ahead. An MBA Human Resource helps you gain confidence, personal authority and self-awareness of the intricacies of businesses. You will be exposed to the overall working of a business and the importance of HR decisions. It provides you with an opportunity to develop your negotiation skills, helping you navigate difficult conversations with ease and pacing yourself when engaging with stakeholders. An MBA Human Resource prepares one to confront challenges and opportunities with confidence, so that you can make decisions that lead to a successful career. No doubt it is an excellent specialization to undertake, allowing one to develop excellent problem solving and decision-making skills that can be applied in the corporate world.

WHO AM I?
For many, the first thing that comes to mind when asked “who am I” is their identity. This can include a person’s name, age, occupation, and gender.
But if one takes a deeper look and asks, “Who am I?”, they might find that this question is a much more complex topic that involves more than just a surface answer. The real answer lies in a person’s values and beliefs, their passions, and how these things define them.
When asking “Who am I?” it’s important to consider what values and beliefs shape our identity. Values and beliefs help to define who we are and how we perceive the world. They can include things like what we consider important, what we stand for, and how we want to live our lives.
My values and beliefs are that life is an incredible privilege, and with that privilege comes a duty to make a positive contribution to the world. I believe in always striving for excellence, using my skills and talents to grow and learn, and helping others as much as possible.
My passions are also an important part of who I am. For me, my passions are around exploring the world, learning new things, and connecting with people. I find deep satisfaction in experiencing new cultures, taking risks, and pushing myself out of my comfort zone.
I believe that the greatest way to understand who we are is by reflecting on our experiences. All of our life experiences shape our identity and how we develop. They can be both positive and negative but are always important in learning more about ourselves.
I have made a conscious effort to be aware of the experiences I have and take something away from each one. Reflecting on experiences helps me to understand who I am and why I think the way I do. It also allows me to appreciate the people who have helped me along the way, from friends and family to coworkers and mentors.
Another way to understand who I am is by looking at my goals and dreams. My future dreams involve creating meaningful work that helps others, traveling, and meeting new people. My goals include creating a career I am passionate about, moving abroad, and finding ways to give back.
Ultimately, who I am is driven by my values, passions, and experiences. I am constantly discovering more about who I am and what my purpose is, and I believe it’s an ongoing process.
The journey of self-discovery can be confusing and overwhelming, but it can also be incredibly rewarding and liberating. I believe that understanding who we are and learning to be comfortable and confident in our own skin is one of the most powerful gifts we can give ourselves. Who I am is constantly evolving as I continue to learn and grow and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
