Okay so like no suitor design drop yet.. hehe.. but I've had this meme stuck in my head and so I present this to you..

Antinous: Which one of you was gonna tell me tea tastes different if you put in hot water?

Amphinomus: Y-you were putting it in cold water??????

Eurymachus: Antinous. Answer the question, Antinous.

Antinous: Yeah?? I thought for like, five years that people put it in hot water to speed up the.. 'tea-ification process' didn't realise there was an actual reason

Melanthius: You don't have the patience to microwave water for three minutes???

Eurymachus: Why are you. Putting it in the microwave. To BOIL IT??

Melanthius: Do you think I have the patience to boil water on the Stove??

Amphinomus: It takes less than a minute...

Melanthius: Bestie, is your stovetop powered by the fucking SUN??

Eurymachus: HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE YOU TO BOIL A CUP OF WATER ON THE STOVE??

Melanthius: LIKE SEVEN MINUTES???

Eurymachus: Just stick the MUG on TOP OF THE STOVE on MEDIUM HEAT ,and it boils in like TWO. MINUTES... less than that, and you use a saucepan..

Melanthius: You're putting the WHOLE MUG ON THE STOVE??? on MEDIUM HEAT?? Your stove's enchanted..

Penelope: Every single person in this hall is a fucking lunatic..

Telemachus: DO NONE OF YOU OWN A FUCKING KETTLE???

I know it's not the most cannon Ancient Greek interaction ever, but I could NOT get it out my head..

It kind of reminds me of something the suitors @messymoonmad created would do lol

Debating on like.. making my own designs for the suitors (Antinous, Eurymachus, and Amphinomus), although like.. my brain is telling me to just make Eurymachus a skinny twink ginger man.. DARN YOU @messymoonmad FOR TAINTING MY MINE (all jokes lol- If I get bored, I'll try and draw messymoonmads suitors seeing my Melanthius and probably just making fun of him and Eurymachus being utterly horrified at his Oultfit lol

Thanks to @messymoonmad for the inspiration to write this AU their amazing art and their versions of the suitors brought me so much happiness and dedicated me to actually try and write a half decent AU

I have some extra bits like his head canons that I might post later to clear up some things that might confuse people

I've decided to be brave and post the beginning draft for Melanthiuses AU Tomorrow, keep in mind it's probably so SO far from being properly cannon it will hurt that's why it's a draft and needs a bunch of fine tuneing.

I hope people like this, and thanks to many inspirational artists who actually motivated me to do this (specifically @messymoonmad, they are wonderfully amazing, and I really hope they see the AU.. I might tag them in it if I feel brave... gulps, but only because they inspired me like a lot.. I adore their Melanthius... I wonder if our Melanthiuses would be friends)

Hello! I'm a new artist and AU writer inspired by EPIC: The Musical, and I decided to start slowly building a platform here on Tumbler since I was inspired by many other amazing artists and others here on this platform.

Right now, I'm focusing on an AU I wrote about a certain 'Suitor' called Melanthius (if you don't know him he's that one guy in the song 'Odysseus' who threatens to attack Telemachus lol)

This is my drawing of him, and if I feel like it I will post his starting AU, which I hope to develop into a fully fledged story, possibly starting an Ao3 account or posting it somewhere else.

Questions are open and welcome always. Even though I may not respond immediately, I will eventually answer any questions!
