MY ARTFIGHT PROFILE CHAT!!!

I will be participating in this years Artfight for the first time and I'm happy to be doing a big event for artists. Feel free to stop by there and look at my characters!

I'm only gonna keep talking about these characters for the rest of the month so I may as well share a bit of info!

RK the Werewolf

"Oh that? That's RK! Y'know, because he almost became roadkill on the front of my Tahoe the other night."

On the run from the only pack he's ever known, RK collides with the human world one fateful night - literally. Fearful of everything but with nowhere else to go, he remains in his wolf form and takes a chance on the human that hit him in the first place.

Levi Hawkins

His dark hair was not long enough to fall over his eyes but still long enough to be terribly mussed from sleep. One sleeve of his shirt had pulled up, exposing the length of his wrist and the tanned skin that disappeared behind the fabric. He was … attractive. I could not deny that.

Hitting a wolf with his car was not something he intended, but that single event will change Levi's life forever. He's a practical man, a fixer, so he does what he can to fix the wolf up and give him time to heal. But the wolf heals faster than should be possible, and Levi is too intrigued to let him go.

Serena Oakley

"Well, I suppose that's fair," Serena begrudgingly agreed. "As annoying as you are, the world would be a darker place without your ugly mug in it."

The last thing Serena expects is to get woken from her sleep with the news that Levi has hit a dog. But when the dog turns out to be a wolf with broken bones that heal overnight, she knows there is far more to this wolf than meets the eye. After all, she has secrets of her own.

Ok so

Role in Story: Initially Wukong's mentor and later he becomes a regular member of the crew

Physical changes: Has webbed fingers and toes. Has fin looking ears. Has gills that appear if he's in water or been doused in it. Has green eyes that can see in the dark. Elbow fins.

Class: Water demon

Backstory: (@hyperfixation-tangentopia it's all here :3 look)

Sandy was born in Ao Qin city (like most of his class) to a rather big school (family of water demons) where he spent his childhood surrounded by many family members. With so many members in his school however no one noticed when he went missing one day.

Sandy went missing because he had wandered off one day and had accidentally found himself on the demon train which took him on a trip to the famous Yigong city.

Upon arriving in the new city Sandy meets a blue cat named Mo and immediately becomes attached to the blue fur ball. The pair then eventually meet the protector Mal-chin the Miscellaneous who takes them home and introduces them to his two sons, DBK and Ruyi, and his lovely wife. Mal-chin later let Sandy and Mo stay under his roof and Sandy formed a brotherly bond with DBK and Ruyi.

Eventually Sandy joins DBK and Ruyi in the training they were receiving from Mal-chin but on the fateful day when Mal-chin's wife died DBK and Ruyi were forbidden from continuing their training but Sandy was allowed to continue his train on one condition: he could never show his enemies mercy.

With this condition Sandy became ruthless, a man with no qualms with killing, a beast in a fight.

He did have humanity left however as he managed to befriend Pigsy one night while on the surface with Mal-chin.

Mal-chin and Sandy had been tracking down a rouge demon on the surface when the pair got separated. Sandy wandered around before coming across Zhu Noodles and a pig demon locking the doors to the restaurant. Surprised to see a demon outside of Yigong Sandy approached the pig demon and well...

both of them were very shocked to see another demon. But they were also very curious and got talking and then got to know each other. This budding friendship was cut short by the return of Mal-chin who took Sandy back to Yigong. A few days later however Sandy returned and this marked the beginning of an interesting friendship.

One day near the end of this friendship Sandy took Pigsy to see Yigong city and asked if Pigsy would want to live in Yigong city, (a place where Pigsy would be accepted for who he was). Pigsy declined however as his mother had recently taken in two young boys, MK and Wukong, and Pigsy wanted to be there for them. Sandy understood and let the topic drop even though he thought Pigsy would be a lot safer living Yigong city.

A few days after Sandy had shown Pigsy Yigong city, there came the day known as the Twilighting.

A demon attacked Yigong city, a gloopy fear demon (that looks kind of like toh's belos's monster form) known simply as Di. It rampaged through the city destroying and killing anything in it's path. Sandy went in without a plan thinking he was strong enough to beat Di in a fight, but he couldn't. This caused a split second decision from Mal-chin to block a blow aimed at Sandy with his body.

The blow was lethal, Mal-chin was slain. (And Di was imprisoned in a tablet by Mr. Wei).

After this Sandy was heartbroken, he had lost the only ever father figure he had ever had, and DBK and Ruyi cut off their already strained ties with Sandy.

Sandy then decided to renounce his violent ways and go to therapy. He started drinking tea, doing yoga, etc. Doing everything he could to become a better person. Unfortunately he also cut himself off from the rest of the world (including Pigsy) in fear of hurting anyone thus he became a local hermit who's only friend is his cat Mo.

Hey Everyone,

Stilly here. I just wanted to make you all aware, especially those who know my Ao3 of ScarletImpulse, that I am super thankful for any votes I have gotten or will get on the Maribat Awards, but I will not be able to see the final results nor events in the future.

There is a post on the situation which covers it expertly if anyone would like to understand that more.

This post is purely to make those who have read my works aware.

Moving forward, I will be participating in other events such as the DC Miraculers one ongoing right now. I also want to give some other fun things outside of that fandom a shot.

i had a thought of "do people not know what AUs are anymore?" and then i remembered nobody explains fandom stuff to new people anymore so it is entirely plausible people genuinely don't know what AUs are and nobody has explained it to them, so for today's lucky 10,000:

"AU" stands for "Alternate Universe" or "Alternative Universe" (same difference) and is basically any thought scenario for a fandom that isn't canon and can't fit within the canon universe. If it takes place in the canon universe but something is notably different, that is typically what's known as a "Canon divergent AU," because it diverges from canon.

an AU can be absolutely anything. There's a couple of widespread pan-fandom au scenarios that often get thrown around, like coffee shop aus, genderbend aus, hanahaki aus (hanahaki is a whole thing in itself i'd recommend researching on your own), etc. One you might hear sometimes is "crossover AU" which is when you have characters from one fandom interacting with characters from another.

You can have as many aus as you want. They can be whatever you want and you can do whatever you want in them. It's a sandbox for you to play around in and explore how things would be different or how the characters would act in those circumstances or environments. Maybe they have different relationships with each other. Maybe they behave slightly differently. Or you can just say "Okay, [x] is true. How did they get here? How would things have to be different for this to occur?" which can also be fun.

If you are ever confused about why people ship something that seems completely out of the blue or doesn't make sense to you in the canon setting, there's a good chance they like it in an AU setting! Not everything everybody is interacting with is necessarily the canon! Not everybody wants things to exist in canon and just want to explore playing dolls in a different sandbox and that's okay. And their sandbox might look a lot different than yours, and that's also okay. You have the freedom to make your sandbox whatever you please. Do whatever you want forever. Get funky with it. AUs are fun.

Hello! I'm a new artist and AU writer inspired by EPIC: The Musical, and I decided to start slowly building a platform here on Tumbler since I was inspired by many other amazing artists and others here on this platform.

Right now, I'm focusing on an AU I wrote about a certain 'Suitor' called Melanthius (if you don't know him he's that one guy in the song 'Odysseus' who threatens to attack Telemachus lol)

This is my drawing of him, and if I feel like it I will post his starting AU, which I hope to develop into a fully fledged story, possibly starting an Ao3 account or posting it somewhere else.

Questions are open and welcome always. Even though I may not respond immediately, I will eventually answer any questions!

i seen the posts u made on ur other blog about ur chibs fic and want to ask whi its a glaswegian reader

hi anon! i know many people may not want to read HIWY due to this factor, and that’s completely understandable.

i wanted to make something that made me feel seen and included as a glaswegian. when people write fics, though they leave them ambiguous i don’t really feel any representation through it — whereas with a glaswegian reader i would do.

however, this isn’t to say no one else can read it. though it is a glaswegian reader, it can be glossed over. yes it is a key factor, the whole fic is based on reader and chibs being the only two glaswegians jax knows, and therefore he plays matchmaker — it can still be glossed over.

please always feel free to send more asks and questions about my fic, because i know this may be something not a lot of people will feel inclined to read, and that is perfectly okay!!
