I bring this up in my discord a lot 🤣! Blue Exorcist is another Manga heavily inspired by DGM the author loved DGM so they wrote Blue Exorcist as a love letter to DGM.

i knew gege was inspired by d.gray-man for jujutsu kaisen because there are too many similarities but gege quoting hoshino is a WIN

so yeah this also confirms that geto is inspired by tyki

Also me: the only manga I continuously read is Kuroshitsuji and D-gray Man which both will most likely end tragically. Also, both might end when I'm already dead with the current pacing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I just finished reading dgm and - Allen. ALLEN WALKER YOU WERE SO LOVED FROM THE VERY BEGINNING. Even though he was raised to think he was unloved and unlovable - he exists because past!Lavi loved past!Allen so much- not just as Neah's host, but as Allen himself, so much so that he goes as far as to ensure that Allen will live, even if it means using his own soul as raw material. His whole existence is a proof of love - he was held so tightly he carried that feeling into the next life, remembered it when he remembered nothing else-

Sorry if I'm rambling but he was seriously so loved - by past!Lavi, by Allen the dog, by Mana (even though his mind was almost completely in shambles by this point, he did love Allen), by Cross - even fucking Cross Marian couldn't help but love this boy, I can't-

Kanda when he hears that Allen is actually a 50+ yo who, because of an entity aligned with the black order, was combined together with another body to produce a kid that has above-average abilities and whose memories were completely erased by this black-order-sided entity that then proceeded to make his life a living hell for its own ends, that he remembers only around 10 years of life, and the only memory resurfacing from his previous life was connected to another person with which he had something easily interpreted as romantic in nature and (in at least one of their lives) gay, a person who died but somehow he can still kinda hear now sometimes, apparently:
