gimme plz.
yes yes theyre probably going to have hunter tearfully tell his friends that hes a grimwalker and then have an identity crisis that his friends help him through but you know whats funnier. if he just. never tells them. and then after canon he does a bunch of grimwalker stuff and his friends just have to deal with the fact that hes weird as hell.
like amity sits next to him in class and hes taking notes and then crumpling up the paper and eating it. and when she asks him why the hell hes doing that he tells her he likes the taste of ink. the kids go on a cruise and hunter does a nosedive into the boiling sea and everyone freaks out but he floats back up again and hes fine and willow tries to touch the water and gets a burn. gus is practicing illusions and he wants to make a bigger one so hunters like “oh! hold my hand!” and gus is like “hell yeah moral support” and then he creates the shadow realm and hes like “damn thats some good moral support.” during flyer derby someone shoots a spell at him and he turns into stone to deflect it and turns back to normal and gets all the flags bc the other team is too busy figuring out what the hell was going on. like what would you even do if you saw that.

ayo someone gimme this in fic form plz.
i know the byers’ dog didn’t come back in s2 because the real life dog was an absolute menace to deal with and i think some of the actors just joked that the dog died in canon, but personally…
my headcanon is that post upside down will had such severe ptsd that chester’s barking and growling triggered him and that the byers unfortunately had to give up their family pet to help will try to adjust in the aftermath of s1. will absolutely sobbed because he felt so guilty, and he tried for so long to make it work but just couldn’t.
in the end, jonathan is the one to take chester to the animal shelter, and he and joyce don’t let will come along because they know it’ll be too hard on him. jonathan hugs their family pet super tight, and he cries the entire way home because this dog has been with their family since he was a little kid, but he also recognizes that this is the best decision for will.
anyways then, eventually the byers-hopper family adopts a dog together. the dog is an absolute menace, and hopper regrets every single day of his life that he said yes to letting his kids get a dog. joyce actually loves having a dog again, even if their dog is a bit of a scoundrel. and will and el? they like to argue over who the dog’s favorite is.
(jonathan is the dog’s favorite, in case you were wondering)

brooooo...
while yes Steve playing DnD for the first time with Eddie is adorable, we forget that Steve has played DnD before with Erica in the scoops troop comic to cheer her up after her mom gets rid of her DnD stuff.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So imagine this:
Eddie invites Steve to his newest campaign very unaware of the knowledge that Steve knows what he’s doing. He’s setting everything up, getting everything ready and goes to explain the basic rules to Steve, but he just waves him off.
So Eddie’s like: Okay, Steve stubborn. Let’s see how far he gets before needing help
but Steve doesn’t ask any questions. Not even which die to use which Eddie was expecting to answer the same question at least 30 times. In fact, Steve is breezing through it.
He’s pointing out key details the kids missed because after playing so long, they tend to look at the smaller details instead of the big picture. but Steve has always seen things in full so he’s pointing out all of Eddie’s hints that are hiding in plain slight as if Eddie was the fool for putting them there.
The craziest part is that nobody is surprised.
“Oh, Steve’s right!”
“Wait, let’s ask Steve what we should do.”
“Shit! This is why we should have listened to Steve!”
and Steve keeps giving Eddie this face. this smug face that says don’t underestimate me and Eddie is just losing his mind. Steve Harrington is actually good at DnD and the kids trust his judgment?
and after Steve absolutely humiliates Eddie with his “simple campaign” (Steve’s words, not mine) Eddie is shell shocked and proud.
“Guess you really do listen when Dustin rambles, huh? King Steve is a true nerd now.”
“Dude, I’ve played a few times before. I’m not a rookie.”
“What?!”
“What? did you think i pulled that character out of my ass? Erica made it for me. He and i have been on so many adventures together.”
and that’s when Eddie learns that Steve has layers. layers under the layers he didn’t expect.
he was aware of it before but now only solidified the fact. Steve Harrington is actually… a pretty good dude.

You know that edit you started but never finished because you think it's bad? It's wonderful because you created something from nothing. That fic you wrote 1k on before stopping because you thought that no one would read it if you did? You'd be surprised to find that they will. That headcanon that lives in your head that you want to share just to be able to talk about it but won't because you're afraid to someone will disagree with you? There are plenty of people waiting who will agree. Those gifs you made but never posted because you think it's a scene that's been done a hundred times? I'm here to tell you people enjoy new versions. The fanart you drew but are hesitant to share because you don't think the style fits? It does; you're just being hard on yourself. The moodboard, playlist, drabble, meta, character study, video edit, etc., that you made for a fandom space has never been bad or wrong. It may cater to you more than anyone else, it may not get the response you hoped for, and it may feel like it falls flat, but you have to learn that none of it is a representation of your worth or how good or bad your ideas and creations are. And although it may not feel like it, at the end of the day, it's all a form of art. And the beautiful thing about art is that there is no right or wrong way to express it. Only ways to make it easier, and that's what you should be doing. Making it easier on yourself. Allowing yourself to do these things unashamed and unafraid. Allowing yourself to create, express yourself and your thoughts, and enjoy every minute of it. Don't let fear strike you out. Don't let the undermining voices in your head negate your actions. Don't let yourself stop creating anything if that's what you want to do.

:( someone write this plis i beg
Eddie Munson does not die quietly.
In the weeks after his death, his presence is felt all throughout Hawkins.
First, in the decision made by Wayne Munson to wear a guitar pick around his neck as though it always belonged there. Its chain peaks through the collar of every shirt, the pick itself dancing any time the man leans forward. The people of Hawkins know Wayne Munson never played guitar. They know his fingers are too stiff from years of working; his hands shake, and his fingers ache. They know he complains when the cold sets in because it always makes them worse, and he’ll likely have trouble working at the plant within a year. Just like they know that nephew of his, Eddie Munson, played guitar. That his neighbors complained throughout the day about the noise, and homemade flyers were tacked around town with his band’s logo on them. They know Eddie wore a necklace just like that— a way to keep what mattered most close to himself at all times he once told someone who asked.
They know Eddie never took off that necklace if he had a choice.
Then it comes in the form of Steve Harrington, who breaks. Who trades his perfect polos for a denim vest that has seen better days and wears it like an additional limb. There are dark, mystery stains along the sides and tatters throughout the back, but the boy never falters when you look at it questionably. The people of Hawkins know Steve Harrington never cared about the metal scene before and that once upon a time, he used to laugh and mock those who did. They know his parents are very peculiar and that Carol Perkins once told everyone about the reaming Steve got when they came home to find him having skipped a few haircuts. They know he used to walk with his head held high, but now it hangs, and his shoulders slump, and that he’s traded most of the color in his closet for neutral and dark ones like he’s in mourning for something he can’t explain and that the vest is always in his reach. Just like they know that Eddie Munson used to have a vest like the one Steve now wears. That he used to wear it over a leather jacket and never took it off, no matter how hot it got. That he came to school blasting Dio in that van of his, and now Steve seems to have taken to doing the same in his Beemer whenever he comes to pick up the kids.
They know Steve doesn’t seem like he will let that vest go without a fight.
Around the time Steve gained his vest, Dustin Henderson stopped wearing hats. The people of Hawkins don’t know why, and none of them seem to remember a time they recall him being without before. They know he’s usually found with a mess of curls tucked underneath each cap and that he usually sports lively and fun shirts— button-downs patterned in dragons and knights, t-shirts with Weird-Al and Alf. They know that his hair is starting to grow out. That it’s long and messy, with a rack of curls that hangs in his eyes, and old Ms. Jenkins down the street overheard Claudia Henderson crying about how she doesn’t know what to do to help her dear old Dusty boy anymore. They know his typical whimsical t-shirts have been traded for band tees of metal bands most people can’t seem to place, while his button-downs have grown more subdued. There are always enamel pins on his button-downs, though, a tight-knit collection kept on the left side of every shirt, just above his heart. They also know that they’ve seen those pins before and that it used to be Eddie Munson who sported them. They know he used to wear them on that denim vest of his and that he would proudly talk about them with anyone who asked. They also know that Dustin doesn’t seem to share the same feeling and that if you ask, Dustin seems to shut down, unlike Eddie. They know he gets a faraway look in his eyes before he asks if you’ve ever met a hero before.
They know Dustin will never be the same.
Robin Buckley starts wearing a leather jacket and paints a fantasy scene on the back. The people of Hawkins aren’t sure what it is, and none of them can seem to get close enough to find out before Steve Harrington or Nancy Wheeler are in the way, but they all know it has something to do with winged beasts and a rainbowed cloaked mighty knight. They know she used to talk a lot, often talked too much, and ran her mouth over other people without meaning to. They know she speaks different languages and doesn’t mind trudging around by herself. But now, she’s quiet and keeps to herself. Now they know that French and Spanish have turned to something more indescribable that almost sounds made-up and that she’s never without someone by her side who is gripping her hand tight. Just like they know that Eddie Munson used to wear a leather jacket that looked an awful lot like a larger version of the one Robin wears now. That he used to poke around second-hand stores the same way Robin does and that his hands danced across the worn-in flannels and well-loved tees the same way hers do now. They know he used to have a tattoo design that looked like the drawn-on ghoul on the top of her Chucks and that her teachers have gotten frustrated with the number of bats doodled in the margin of her work as of lately.
They know Robin lives in fear of something they can’t place.
Then came Nancy Wheeler, who showed up to the first town hall meeting after the earthquakes in a pretty white skirt and Hellfire t-shirt despite the fear and rumors still running wild. The people of Hawkins know it was a display of wild faith, a quick spit in the eyes of everyone who dared to look at her and her friends and question the innocence of a boy labeled as missing but considered dead. They know her baby brother wore a matching shirt and gripped her hand like a lifeline even though just weeks prior, they had argued loud enough in the parking lot of the Palace Arcade that Chief Powell threatened to write them both up. They know she’s always been a bit brash and that, in the last few years, something unspeakable has happened inside of her. The Hellfire shirt becomes a regular staple in Nancy Wheeler’s closet, and more jeans are added soon. Only they’re tattered and a touch torn, a few shades darker than anything she usually wears, and always paired with a striking flowing top. They know it makes her look like someone else entirely and that Eddie Munson probably would have laughed. Just like they know he wore his own rugged and worn-out jeans. That he practically lived in his Hellfire shirt and wore it with as much pride as Nancy Wheeler seems to, even after everything.
They know Nancy has grown familiar with the ghosts and whispers of this town.
The people of Hawkins know that Erica Sinclair plays DnD in broad daylight and dares people to question her. That Mike Wheeler refuses to be told to stop talking about Eddie Munson. That Lucas Sinclair wears a bandana tied around his wrist. That Max Mayfield is still in a coma for reasons no one will explain but are somehow connected.
The people of Hawkins know so much and yet nothing at all, and yet with every piece, they can’t help but imagine that Eddie Munson lies behind it. They wonder if one day they’ll ever find out just what happened on that Spring Break of ’86, but they know they probably won’t want to know the truth.

TW - discussions of abuse, rape, grooming and CSA
Everything One / Henry Creel does to Eleven / Jane is similar to a groomer, actually. He gains her trust. Makes her feel special. Makes her feel sorry for him. He obsessed over her. He ultimately took advantage of her naivety. She didn't know any better.
The way Barb, Will, and Billy were assaulted mirror what victims of sexual assault / rape experience given the invasion of their bodies and in Barb's case the desecration of her body. For Will and Billy, it makes them sick and too terrified to talk.
The control the mindflayer maintained over Will and Billy's minds and bodies in the things it made them do and say and dress mimick the control abusers have over others. The dissociation Will and Billy experience reflect how some survivors cope.
Max, Chrissy, Fred, and Patrick endured days of emotional abuse and manipulation, especially gaslighting and guilt tripping meant to further isolate them and perpetually make them feel "in the wrong" which is how abusers maintain control.
The way Henry Creel as Vecna specifically targeted people with pre-existing, serious traumas because he knew they were already vulnerable. The way this is how many abusers operate, especially groomers and sexual abusers.
Everything he does is very intentionally abusive. He enjoys it. This is not to say Brenner didn't abuse him, too, but Henry Creel is not a monster because he is a misunderstood victim. He is a monster because he chooses to be.
Much the way survivors struggle to accept that they were manipulated or abused, Jane struggles to accept that he's a monster. She knows what Brenner did to her and her peers, and even that took years for her to acknowledge.
Make no mistake, though. He is a monster. The fact that some people are more sympathetic towards him than his victims reflect again how survivors are treated and how abusers largely get away with their behavior.
