One of the main reasons I hate jegulus is that it erases what James and Lily represented.

They were in a world where society told them they can never be with each other because of blood supremacy. James was expected to marry a pureblood and Lily was viewed as inferior because of her blood status despite how powerful of a witch she was.

Their entire union defied voldemort. Harry, a half blood, a product of a purebloods love for a mere muggleborn brought Voldemorts defeat.

Yet the new fandom is erasing this by shipping James with a blood supremacist death eater and Lily with another muggleborn just because these ships happen to be queer.

It takes away what made these characters so special. Their love was a part of their resistance.
