Crying is good.

One of my favorite movies, with a sequel, is Guardians of the Galaxy. The reason why is because of the ending. So spoiler alert if you haven’t already guessed. 

The story line, for those that have seen it, is basically a bunch of fuck ups band together to travel the galaxy while trying to save it. And they do, successfully. 

And the reason why I love it so much is that I am a fuck up. My life doesn’t really add up to anything else except a bunch of fuck ups, stupid decisions, and some really bad luck. And because of that, I love Guardians of the Galaxy. 

At the end, Yondu hints that he “... doesn’t use his brain to fly the arrow.” And further in, we hear Yondu calling himself “Mary Poppins y’all.” because Quill thinks it’s funny while also hinting towards what eventually is revealed that he cares for Yondu like a father, without realizing it. And at the very end, when Yondu sacrifices himself, Quill gets it. And with the funeral, as the other factions of The Ravagers assemble for The Horn of Freedom, Quill, and well, frankly everyone realizes what they’ve been hiding for so long. Honestly, everything wraps up really nicely and while people can argue that it was a little too fairy tale, I can say that I don’t mind it. Well except that whenever we see an ending like this, it most likely means “It’s a wrap”. 

They have hinted towards a Guardians of the Galaxy 3, but nothing yet. Now, with that being said, I don’t really keep up with Disney. Say what you want, it’s my life, and you aren’t feeding, fucking, or financing me so *blows raspberry*. 

It reminds me, especially since I cut all ties with my biological family, that I am still looking for my family. Yes, I have a family. I love them dearly, but they have their own lives and it gets to a point where I feel lonely most of the time. So I am on the search for more. You can never have enough. If you choose. That of course, is my own opinion, and should be regarded as such. 

It doesn’t help that I am single either, which really does suck, at least for me. I am mostly mentally good and I am not going to turn down an opportunity if one comes available. But I am not going out, searching for one. Just going to live my life according to my situation and what I can do. Because, and I personally believe this, once you stop searching, you realize things about yourself. What you need to work on and why it’s not working out. Again, my honest opinion and this, of course, is a “in general” appraisal. Plus, why push so hard when you could have that story/movie romance introduction? How do you truly know love at first sight isn’t real? Thought it was and got burned? That doesn’t mean it isn’t true, just means you were wrong about that one. So, keep going. 

The Guardians of the Galaxy proves just that. And because of that, I still cry at the end, and I probably will till the end of time, even if I find my family.
