So you know how exclus are like "We're protecting the lgbt community from evil cishets invading our community uwu"?
Today I told someone that aspecs used to be part of the bi community and saying "they aren't part of our history/can't kick out what was never in the community" erases a part of bi history. Their response literally was: "I don't care. Asexuals aren't lgbt. You're a clown."
This is as far from an actual argument as one can be but apart from that, they were so quick to throw bi people's history under the bus solely to exclude aspecs? How can anyone say they protect lgbt when they are ready to throw any part of it under the bus just out of spite?

Literally everyone signing petions for and spreading awareness about net neutrality, no matter where they're from, yet no fucks given about EU articles 11&13 (guess what, upload filters are coming 💀)
Anyway if you’re from the US and you ever wanted to know what tumblr feels like from a non-USAmerican perspective (please note that the rest of the world is not a monolith either and none of these apply without exception):
Everybody’s talking about brands and stores you’ve never seen in real life. You generally assume they exist, but they might as well be one giant prank the rest of the internet is in on.
You find a post that just sounds wrong. It makes no sense. It’s like OP lives in a weird alternate reality. 9/10 times, it’s just some USAmerican Thing.
You’re still not entirely sure how much an inch is. Or a foot. Or even how many of the former there are in the latter. You maybe know your height in feet and inches.
You have no idea how much a pound is. You’d also like to know how the fuck pound shortens to lbs.
What the fuck is “military time”
Somebody talks about some legal process or something similar. They don’t mention which country’s legal system this pertains to. You know anyway.
People talk about politics. None of it pertains to you. Many posts contain guilt tripping. “How can you not care about this?? Why won’t you reblog this?? People need to know this about x candidate for y position!” You’re busy trying to stay on top of the political landscape in your own country.
You pick up some random slang from the internet. Monkey see monkey do. You’re called racist. You didn’t know it was AAVE. You learnt it from black letters on white background, not from the mouths of people whose faces you could see. How would you have known? You try to unlearn it.
People tell you that you must publicly denounce Chick-fil-A or you’re homophobic. You don’t even know what a Chick-fil-A is.
People say you don’t know LGBTQ+ history. What they mean is you don’t know USAmerican LGBTQ+ history. Nobody cares about your country’s history.
You’re “called out” on using an “offensive” term. It’s (a direct translation of) a completely harmless word where you live.
People expect you to have an idea of how far apart 2 USAmerican states are. You barely know geography past your country’s immediate neighbors.
You randomly switch between British and American spellings. Nothing’s real and there are no rules.
People talk about multiple hour car rides and you get twitchy just thinking about it. You suddenly understand why USAmerican cars are so big.
Somebody talks about school shooting drills. You only ever had fire alarm drills.
You see a cool statistic. The study’s only about the US. It’s unfortunately of no use to you.
People misuse/misspell words and names from your native language. It’s tiring.
(You feel sorry for the French. Nobody should be allowed to mangle the word déjà vu like that.)
You’re still not over the fact that USAmerican school children are supposed to say that pledge thing every morning. You’re never getting over that.
You still don’t know why the men are fresh or what the fuck a sophomore is.
Who the fuck pays up first and then fills up gas??? That’s made up, right??
Everybody has a weird obsession with some comfort food you’d never even heard of before you signed up here.
Fellow non-USAmericans, please add anything else you can think of.

Idk which fansign it was but somewhen he showed a part of a self-composed song and you could tell he was extremely nervous, despite it not even being an actual release but just letting fans listen to a few seconds of the song. There's so much more pressure if the songs are self-composed. Departure from a group and company he's been with for 7 years, solo debut and setting up a new company within about two months (though he might have worked on the last two since last year, we don't really know) is stressful enough. If he wants to rely on other people's composing abilities so he can focus on all the other stuff that's completely okay, no matter whether he choses to compose later releases himself or not. He's a singer, a damn good one as well and whether he wants to be a songwriter or not is choice only. Just leave him alone, we literally have no idea what goes on in his life and head, so we don't get a say in this. Maybe just be happy about the fact that the members did their all to release high quality solo content the second they got out of T$ instead of complaining all the time ☺
hello, i saw someone on twitter expressing disappointment because youngjae “only” wrote and composed one track on his album himself and i want to say the same thing here that i did there: stop it!!!! i wish people in this fandom wouldn’t unfairly compare members all the time and apply these “true artist” standards to everyone. one song is already a lot actually! youngjae hasn’t released as much of his own compositions as some others, and he has to get comfortable as a solo artist first, and build up confidence. he said before “I’ve never thought about doing anything else than being a part of B.A.P”, but he took this step and he’s committed to this new dream now, and he put his heart and soul into setting up his own company (!!!!!!!!) and doing everything to give us the music that he wants to give us right now, an album which was made specifically to show his vocal colour. he’s really doing so much for us, he always does so much for us but this fandom never seems to truly appreciate it and i have had it up to here.
also, as a solo singer trying to establish himself and draw attention, working with some big names in music is actually a really really smart move. please hype him up instead of putting him down. thanks
p.s. that “only” one song is for us, so you better give it a lot of love tyvm

When will people stop critizicing him for everthing he does, I'm so done with this 😑
Also, this will probably be my favorite song of him, I'm already in love
Okay….so there are seriously people saying that it’s a bad idea for Daehyun to release a ballad. Like…. How? Ballads are actually incredibly popular…. Also he has an emotional voice that suits ballads incredibly well, it’s a chance for him to really show off his voice. I mean if you don’t like ballads that’s cool, but that doesn’t mean Daehyun doing one for his official solo debut is a bad idea.

How I became a Baby..
I became a Kpop fan in late 2014. B.A.P were already on hiatus because of the lawsuit back then. For one year and a half, I floated around between Kpop groups, mostly YG boy groups, one week calling this group my faves, the next week that group. Somehow, I never really stayed with one group, despite going back to each one of them once in a while. I also listened casually to basically every group I came across, B.A.P being among them. While I liked their music, I somehow didn’t feel the need to get to know them, possibly because they weren’t active at the time. Even when they finally released YW&F, I only listened to the song a few times before forgetting about it, despite it being very rock-ish and me actually preferring Rock to Pop. I was too caught up with all the other groups.
Then, in 2016, when it was announced they would be coming to Germany, the friend who introduced me to Kpop and I thought “Well, it’s Kpop, they make good music, let’s go!” I ended up going alone, constantly pondering whether I really should, since I a) am very uncomfortable with strangers and unknown situations and b) wasn’t a fan back then, just a casual listener. It was one of the best days in my life, despite not remembering much because I didn’t know their names, all of the songs and I needed new glasses, so I didn’t really see that much. It took me a few songs to get comfortable but after that it was pure bliss. I was hyped, sang along as best as I could and even talked to a few fans. I hadn’t felt that way in years. Even after the concert ended, the happiness lasted for months. That’s how I became a fan. Videos of them made me happy, I got excited for comebacks, I had so many great interactions with this fandom. Just one evening made them into a quite big part of my life and I’ll always be grateful for all the happiness they gave and still give me.
Could it have been any other group? Yes and No. I think any group’s concert could have made me happy, provided both the group and the fans put the same energy into it as B.A.P and Babyz. But not any group could have made me stay for so long, especially not with a comebackless year and the uncertainty of whether they’ll continue to be able to make music. Their titlesongs are most often not too pop, so when I eventually grew tired of Pop-music, I could still listen to their music. As an aroace, I could never quite relate to songs about romantic love and relationships, so them having so many songs about different aspects of life that I can relate to made me like them even more. Even the few love songs they have are mostly just fun to listen to, like Crash and Stop it and don’t make me feel like I’m missing out. And finally, the members are just... ♥ Idek how to say it, I just admire them and am eternally grateful to them. They deserve all the happiness in the world

Aspecs: so if you want to label yourself as ace because that describes your current feelings and makes you feel like you're not alone we won't chase you away just because you're young but remember that labels can change and that's okay. You're not hurting anyone by using a label and then notice it doesn't fit you anymore 💜 So, do you prefer cake or dragons?
Discoursers: Aces are the devil 👿 because they force asexuality on literal children who aren't supposed to be having sex anyway and using the wrong label is sooo confusing and hurtful, which is why noone should ever mention asexuality in sex ed, teenagers can NEVER know this option exists!!! Because being confused about your sexuality when you're young is definitely not normal and causes extreme harm 😤 Who cares that aces grow up feeling isolated and like they are obligated to have sexual relationships when it saves kids from the true HORROR of calling themselves ace when they're not!!!

Some day I'll travel around the world and everyone who ever trash-talked Daehyun is gonna catch these hands 👏
He's out there doing his best and giving fans what they want (soft content, freaking subtitles😭😍, a mini album) and some people just...?

remember when bap literally waited for their youngest member to be of legal age so they could try and get out of their contract together
remember when they didn’t make it out of their contract but came back with a rock song and won music shows anyway
remember when yongguk has been writing all their songs since debut and most of them have involved rebelling against the system, politics, or reaching for one’s dreams without limits
remember when bap put a literal rock damn near heavy metal song on their first full album
remember when bap released the two most movie worthy mvs, one shot and skydive and did promotions with one member absent both times and still killed it
remember when bap told their fans they prefer if they use gifts and money to donate to charities instead
remember when bap went on two world tours despite being tired and working with little to no breaks
remember when bap is one of the most genuine loving groups to debut and yet everybody still sleeps on them

There really are ppl out there who think they have the right to "discuss" asexuality when they literally are convinced being ace means "just not wanting to fuck/being a virgin"
Rule no.1: Educate yourself before joining a debate. Ace = not experiencing sexual attraction. It's kinda like being hungry/not hungry and having a pizza in front of you. The hungry person would desire to eat the pizza, their decision might not be 100% rational bc they are being lead on by their hunger. The not hungry person doesn't crave the pizza but they might still chose to eat a slice bc it tastes good. Also, there are ppl who think pizza is gross or simply don't care about pizza.
Rule no.2: You don't get to discuss another person's identity as if it's pineapple on pizza

The irony when an allo complains about aces "forcing their ideas on others" by commenting on a post on thigh highs and garters when you literally can't walk two steps without being bombarded by the idea that you need sex and romantic relationships to live a happy life, smh
#spoiler alert: you do not#if allos get to say thigh highs make them horny#aces get to say they like the aesthetics.#ace#asexual#aroace
