1. club femme flea market - photo 1 & 2

much of this makati date is a lot of walking and i scheduled it on a weekend when there would be a flea market nearby. I'm so glad my boyfriend was there patiently waiting for me and was actively helping me ease my way in such a busy venue 🥺 we got our photobooth pictures, customized matching keychains and i also got a customized bracelet!

2. deuces cafe - photo 3 & 4

orders were pork katsu curry, crunchy spicy salmon and vegetable omu soba. got the famous cereal coffee for my drink while he got his mango shake. i'm just remembering the names of the food based on memory so i'm not too sure their accurate. if i were to rate everything, i'd give it a 3.5/5. in terms of pricing, everything came in big servings except the drinks - definitely worth it. crunchy salmon sushi is good, his curry was the right spice and flavor but my omusoba is my favorite. i had to bring home half of it because we were filling ourselves with so much food at this point. i expected more from the coffee, sadly it l tasted more like milk and less like coffee.

3. Edoya

got a nigiri set (photo 5) a sushi platter (photo 6) and a hojicha latte (photo 7). Overall 4/5 experience and one of the restaurants we want to go back to. I used to like sushi with more toppings and unique flavors but I just find myself liking nigiris more these days. That nigiri set was so good, I'd want to go back just to have it again. The hojicha was too sweet but you could still taste the hojicha flavor. It still would have been better if it were less sweet and without the whip cream on top. sushi platter was still good, just not my fave.

4. Brunch Bureau - photo 8

a runner up for the ideal brunch place. We both had burgers - his was a classic brunch bureau burger and mine was a korean chicken burger. both were really good too! i tried this place before ordering a korean chicken chop meal and both times I've been here, it definitely hits the spot for cripsy chicken cravings. i also had their brunch bureau coffee which is your usual latte but with a strawberry flavor and i honestly like that it had the hint of strawberry but i'm not the biggest fan of it. overall - this place is a solid 3.5/5!

5. Menya Kokoro - photo 9

FAVORITE PLACE we've eaten and I have no other words except just wanting to go back! I'll bring friends, family, coworkers, anyone here. It's just so good. This place specializes on mazesoba, basically its thick noodles with different toppings coupled with a rich sauce. It's super flavorful. It also comes with different ways to eat it which is also really interesting. We ordered - Tokyo Mazesoba and Unagi Mazesoba, which i think came in the same sauces but different toppings. Again, SO GOOD. Solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5!

5. Venchi Gelato - photo 10

Sweet end to our long weekend date! Venchi is boujee ice cream so it was definitely more expensive than other ice cream places we love like Caramia and Manila Creamery, but once we tasted it - I honestly get the price. They don't have a lot of unique flavors to begin with but they have such quality gelato for classic flavors that makes them so fancy. Worth the try, yes, but quite questionable to go back or keep getting it. It's like special occasion dessert. I think I'd want to have another scoop of the straciatella flavor, but if I find a good, cheaper alternative I'd go for the less pricy option.

The Fat Seed Cafe + Roastery

describing this place as the ideal brunch restaurant. only ate here a few times but it always serves.

2. Monasterio de Sta. Clara

bringing my boyfriend here to show him the place where I pray and manifest. i always go here before job hunting or when i really need to pray and mull over something before making a decision and it just feels uplifting every time.

3. Cha Tra Mue and first time (?) trying Cibo's lasagna because its his favorite. definitely sets the standard for the perfect lasagna!

4. Black Bean

Always wanted to go around Salcedo. I've been to Makati a few times but never really got around. Now I can say I've tried a few places and will come back for more! Tried Black Bean and we both had salmon for breakfast.

...and here's to hoping i don't buy anything else (that's as expensive as these) aimlessly until i get my hands on any of these items!

A new work bag I specified Coach as one of the brands I wanted to buy from because the empire 35 looks like the perfect size for me, but its so hard to find these days and it must have doubled or tripled in price already. Fino, on the other hand is reliable and for sure cheaper with good quality still. If I were to buy anything beyond 10k, it has to last until the next generation.

GVN Cow Print Bag been on my mind since its release. I keep going back to their website and their socials just admiring it. (Link)

Adidas Taekwondo Mei aka the ballerina sneakers of my dreams! perfect silhouette for a ballet flats and sneakers hybrid. some mary jane sneakers look like school shoes to me, which is the vibe for those type of shoes but this - this pair is the perfect combination of sporty and feminine. (Link)

Andante Footwear - Roma Sandals wanting this mostly for the darker brown color, but nude/sand looks really good too. this is one of their new releases for summer. this brand has also been in my radar for a while, i just haven't pulled the trigger to finally buy a pair. (Link)

New pair from Plngke bought their knaurr cube heels a while back, but got more use of it only recently, a year after purchasing. really love the unique shape. this new one being teased on their instagram is definitely getting my attention. since i'm planning to wear more dressy and corporate appropriate shoes instead of sneakers, this one is right up my alley. a close-toed version of their knaurr cube heels. i am seated and waiting for this release! Old Order Turbo Lite Shoes my priority to buy for my japan trip this September. I'll probably mostly bring home just pasalubong but I REALLY want this turbo light shoes. I know I just said I'll try to wear more dressy shoes, but I'm leaning towards getting plain black and white shoes for anything and everything. meanwhile, all my suede or white sneakers have been dirty for being used so much. a black & white pair screams the perfect shoe for everyday, and i won't have to clean it as much. The copper brown does seem enticing too because its unique. a little faded on some parts plus brown makes it a little bit formal. the fact that its a hello kitty collaboration makes we want to get it too.
