Friendly reminder that
DOGS SHOULD NEVER BE LEFT ALONE WITH CHILDREN. EVER. IT DOESNT MATTER IF THEYRE ALWAYS OK WITH EACH OTHER. IT DOESNT MATTER IF THEY GREW UP TOGETHER. IT DOESNT MATTER.
Dogs will do as dogs do. What dogs do is chase, and bite, and play. It's up to you to be the responsible one and make sure the dog chooses to chase and bite and play with the toy and not little Susie's arm.

Literally. With Lucille the bat's business end, with the added bonus of a chainsaw horizonal at her tip and a pear of anguish at her base. Melania could do the pegging, but I doubt she can stand him rn.
Hey just in case I didn't make it clear--

Sometimes I have to verbally remind myself that setting my place of business on fire is illegal and if I get caught I will go to jail. To which I mentally remind myself that it's only if I get caught.

Respectfully how TF do y'all let y'all's dogs get pelted matted? Like fr do y'all just not touch y'all's dogs ever? Do y'all even have the thought of a brush? I will never understand that. That, and ingrown toenails on a dog. Like it's one thing if they'd been on the street for 6 years and u grabbed them, it's another thing for it to b your 14 yo weenie who pulls mildly for their nails. And don't even get me started on them corkscrew nails!

And the dumbass of the week goes to the guy who didn't want me to handle his dog when other dogs were around bc he was "aggressive" but also handled his dog far worse than me and id only been handling his dog for some 30 minutes. He had to beat the dog with the leash (ofc it was one of the ones with a rubber handle, to make it worse) to get it to listen, whereas I just clicked my tongue and y'know. Used my big girl words and he listened like a champ. Some people just shouldn't have dogs.

I'm gonna say it bc nobody has taken my phone yet just bc you CAN get a dog and just bc the dog is easily available in your area does not mean that you need to have that dog. Do research on the breed/mix b4 u bring it into your home bc otherwise you end up with either a dangerous animal that you can't handle or a nearly abused animal that you can't handle bc their needs are too much for you. I am personally of the opinion that if you can't pick up a dog (with assistance) you don't need to have that dog. All dogs have to be picked up regularly. It makes life so much easier for them. I personally, a 180 lb 5'8 woman, regularly pick up rotts, goldens, doodles, mastiffs, shepherds, what have you, and you can always tell who isn't used to being picked up. It's good for them. Eventually, they won't be able to jump and then they're going to be scared bc they're 10-15 yrs old and they've never been picked up and their joints hurt and they don't understand and so they snap or they fight or are otherwise uncooperative with your vet/groomer. Handle your dogs responsibly.

I recently started doing dog bathing and the amount of dogs that try and take a finger is hilarious. I had a husky go OFF while on a groomers helper and just had the NASTIEST expression, like, full blown snarling and trying to bite bite. His mom was like "oh yeah hes a bit nippy" I was just like no shit fr?

I'm gonna fight God himself if one more entitled ass old white man comes up to me, in front of his wife, and starts flirting with me. I will kick your teeth in, John. You're old enough to be my father.

So apparently there's a lot more backyard breeders in my area than I was aware of, and I got to have a Convo with a baby backyard breeder the other day. Yay! So if you don't have a plan for those puppies, like, if u don't have a waiting list on potential colors and genders and potential homes for those puppies, don't breed. Simple. You're taking a major risk if you breed your animal and you don't have a plan for those animals. Say you breed your gorgeous lab with another gorgeous lab and now you have a litter of 8 puppies. Great. Now you have to feed, water, and train 8 puppies for their new homes. And that's not even considering the cost of feeding momma dog, at the very least, if you used a stud service and let's not forget those cost. So let's consider you got a stud for 200$. Pet food costs approx 25$, for a big bag of some like pedigree puppy food, another 25 for puppy formula to mix in with that to wean the pups, and you'll probably go through two cans before the pups are fully weaned, and prob two bags before everyone gets rehomed, provided you re-home them at the standard 8 weeks. You're 300 in the hole, just on food and a stud, not including momma's food and her prenatal vet bills, which would probably cost 300-500 dollars by itself. So, being conservative, you now have some puppies that cost you probably 600-800 dollars to breed and rear. Now guess what. Nobody buys them. Youre stuck with 8 little mouths which are only getting hungrier, which are only getting bigger, which are only getting crazier and you know what you do? You take them to the nearest shelter and drop them off. Out of sight out of mind right? You did your best to rear them. But hey, now they're someone else's problem. Except you dropped them off at a kill shelter and they make it maybe two, three weeks before they are put down to make room for the next litter of puppies that come through.
Backyard breeders do not need to exist, and solely do so out of selfishness and greed. Puppies should not exist solely for profit, if you're going to breed, you should do it for a love of the breed and you should make plans and act on said plans to ensure the best possible lives for your puppies. Responsible breeders have a return policy for their animals. I've seen senior dogs be returned to their breeders, and rehomed successfully by said breeders, or allowed to live out the rest of their lives with them.

BLUE BUFFALO IS FUCKING

To your bitch ass
Cats aren't very closely related to the lynx at all. They're descended from African wild cats. Which basically look just like little tabbies, they're adorable.

So trying to baby talk dogs when you can barely talk still conveys to dogs that you love them and would die/kill for them and I love that about them

Friendly reminder to not release ANY aquarium fish into the wild, even if you think they shouldn't be a problem.
Unrelated, but I will personally fight anyone releasing aquarium fish into the wild.
