prev post related but it's so fascinating to me how unwilling a lot of people are to discuss how often sam was left alone / functionally abandoned (or that's how it would be perceived when he was that young) while also jumping at every opportunity to list all the times that sam has "run away." sam was being left alone in motel rooms at ten years old but yeah i'm sure him leaving for college & being disowned when dean was twenty-two was really traumatic for dean

If Adam grew up with Sam and Dean, he would’ve followed Sam to college. Adam wouldn’t reveal himself right away, he doesn’t want to be sent back. They’re already in California when Sam notices, and he sighs knowing Dean and John are going to blame him for it. But so be it, the kid wants to be a doctor anyways. He just needs to finish high school so Sam can help him get enrolled too.

Meet Adam from my AU. To make a long story short, this kiddo was taken in by John after Kate Milligan died. So Adam grew up with the Winchesters from the age of four.

From now on, Adam is just as much a hunter. Aaaaand a Winchester. Not Milligan.
