the whole “see you at the equator” thing gets me for so many different reasons.

their innocence of not knowing what the equator is but hoping it is something grand beyond their belief. their little laughs before realizing the sad truth that they may never make it out of there together and actually get to know/explore these simple things.

the equator being the division of two hemispheres translating to the division between innie and outie, like the brain waves that split their consciousnesses. another representation of this being the door to the staircase where helly goes to find mark. they literally met each other at the line (equator) that divides innie and outie.

the line can be interpreted in other ways, but i always saw it as this connection of two souls, not just their own but each other. it kinda points to reintegration, the merging of these two consciousnesses, because it rly is their only chance.

also the lumon logo is literally the earth and where it says “lumon” is the equator lol. anyways markhellyna you have bewitched me truly. so much to come in season 3
