I have so many questions about Cait Sith. He tells the gang that he's a regular 9 to 5 paper pusher and they just. Accept that. Granted this is a universe where Chadley exists so the idea of Shinra hiring a robot is not exactly unusual but also. This is a three foot tall cartoon cat. He can't have been built explicitly for the sake of being a spy because Cissnei recognizes him, implying Cait Sith is just like??? A known thing? He's got seniority at the golden saucer second only to Dio, so he presumably has been working there for at least several months. Did Reeve just build his little fursona cat son and set him up with a nice job and everyone in the company knows about this?

Also the fact that he's a robot and literally everyone in the party knows this and at one point we straight up accuse him of being a listening device and his only argument is "I am way too cute and tiny to be a spy. Look at me. I'm just a little guy."

And everyone is like "Shit. He got us there."

One of my favorite Murderbot things is when the enemy is like: "time to be hostile! Security system, take care of that threat!"

And the security system is standing there metaphorically holding hands and making a friendship bracelet with Murderbot like: "Oh shit, there's a threat? Where!?" *turns to murderbot* "Did you see anything?"

It's been a minute since I made pizza bagel bites! I forgot how good they were but also how they use all the Big Dishes (okay, three: baking sheet, mixing bowl, massive skillet) and my sink is small. Well, dishes are a problem for Later Tonight Sam.

This is the King Arthur Sandwich Bagel recipe; instead of forming the dough into eight bagels, I divide it up into 12-14 small portions (about 55g each), form each into a ball, then after a brief rest I stretch them into flat rounds, put a spoonful of pizza filling in the middle of each, and close them up back into a ball. Then I boil and bake as directed, and lo. Pizza bagel bites.

(Pizza filling: mix low-moisture part-skim mozzarella cheese with pizza sauce until it makes a kind of loose paste, then stir in sauteed mushrooms or chopped up pepperoni or whatever filling the heart yearns for.)

i am always fascinated by the notion of one particular technological or scientific revelation fundamentally changing how humans interact with the world, because this often gets associated with only the last hundred years of human history - as if ipads have changed the world irreversibly, but discovering that there were in fact seven continents and not two did not.

someone: the war on drugs is the exact same thing except this time because of the militarization of the police and private prison interests, is much, much more deadly and specifically exists to justify and widely reinstate slavery within the united states
