Hey lovelies, Christmas is right around the corner! I’m the biggest fan of Christmas so here’s a special Christmas Prompt list! Through the month of December all imagines will be holiday themed and after we have written the imagines we currently have requested, we will only be accepting requests from this prompt list until after Christmas. Now, we understand not all of you celebrate Christmas, but if you’d like to request something with the holidays you do celebrate and want to give us some background information about that holiday, we’d be happy to write it. This Seat’s Taken

Here’s a little Edmund drabble/headcanon thing for you guys :) Thanks for all the support you have been giving me with getting my blog started again.

So you had just moved to the city to attend uni

You’d grown up in a little village in the English countryside so the hustle and bustle was a very new and slightly unsettling thing

Honestly, you’d been here about two weeks and you had thought you’d get used to the lifestyle change

But you hadn’t

You were considering heading back home, attending school somewhere a bit closer

You’d given this adult thing a try, but it was a lot and you just weren’t sure if you were ready

Wanting to give the school and your new life a fighting chance you started wandering campus

The longer you walked the deeper you got into your mind

Soon you were entranced entirely by your thoughts and were pretty much unaware of where your feet were taking you

You vaguely noticed that you had entered one of the many campus libraries and began walking between the bookshelves, trailing your fingers along the spines new and old

Just as you began thinking about how soothing the feeling of rough and glossy books alternating on your fingertips was

You tumbled over a person

Somehow your talented self had totally missed the body leaning against the shelves

Trying to ignore the carpet burn along your palms, you rolled over and slowly sat up, still slightly rattled from your fall

And you raised yourself face to face with the person’s face

As you opened your mouth to apologize

You stopped

The person- no, boy… no, man- you had toppled over had the most beautiful eyes you’d ever seen

They reminded you of the hot chocolate your mother used to make you during Christmas time

Deep and dark and rich and oh so delicious

A light chuckle interrupted your internal raving over the boy’s eyes

“Uh, I’m sorry to say this seat’s taken”

You blinked, his words taking a moment to click

You had landed not on the solid floor

But in his lap

The lap of a stranger

A very attractive stranger

You scrambled forward

“Sorry! Oh my word I’m so sorry I wasn’t paying attention to where I was going and then I was distracted by the books a-and then I tripped over you and I tried to get up but your eyes, oh my gosh your eyes and I didn’t even realize I was in your lap… your lap! I’m so sorry I extremely violated your space-”

“It’s alright”

You sighed and looked up at the boy you had been so close to, not liking being this far from him despite there being less than a meter between you two

“I’m sorry.”

“You said that.”

He chuckled again, you rather liked his laugh

“I’m Edmund.”

“(Y/N).”

“Well (Y/N), the floor may not be as comfortable as my lap, but you’re welcome to sit with me. I’d like to know a bit more than your name if you’re going to make a habit being that close to me”

A breath of an embarrassed laugh escaped your lips followed by a small smile

“I’d be quite alright with that”

“Sitting and talking or making a habit out of being close to me?”

Maybe the city wasn’t going to be so bad

Especially not if spending time with your new acquaintance became a regular occurrence

“So, what was it you were saying about my eyes?”

at some point lucy tries to bring the family back together
