maybe is just me but am i the only one that sees how poorly Marianne’s character was treated by the author in ‘normal people’?

for exemple, when Connell is not inviting her to the dance she skips class and also has a depression starting. in time in collage but most importantly in Sweden she develops an eating disorder. also she has ptsd from her family and how they treated her.

the author is never mentioning that but she puts the accent on Connell’s depression and how he went to therapy. im glad she pointed out this but i think she should have talked about Marianne’s mental state too.
