I went to the farmer’s market yesterday and at the honey guy’s booth and there were all these bees just hangin out.  Checking out the beeswax tabs, floating around the honey jars, not being aggressive, just really gentle and investigating or something

and as he was giving me a sample of the wildflower honey one of them landed on his hand and he just took a drop from the jar and dabbed it on his hand for the bee, and when I asked if they were his bees he said “No, but they show up every time I come out, I think they just know my truck” and this guy is well-known among the local bees and lets them sit on his hand and eat his honey and I just really like the bee guy

If anything, compared to the kinds of people she was forced to interact with every day, the change was kind of refreshing. Her pretty face helped.

Hiruko's casual flirtation with the barista at her favorite coffee shop reaches a turning point.

“This really is a pretty nice place you’ve got here, Bakamatsu.” Miu, visibly marveling at her own words as always and probably patting herself on the back for how wonderful she was to offer that nugget of praise, spun in a circle.

In the wake of a break-up that leaves her needing a new place to live, Miu crashes with Kaede.

“ED?” Sollux called again. A little voice in the back of his head argued that he should get up to go check on him if he was really worried, but something kept him rooted in place, waiting. Like, as long as he couldn’t hear or see the proof of what had occurred, it didn’t need to be real.

Eridan comes home.

you were so afraid she might touch you. you were so afraid anyone might touch you. you had always been afraid of anyone touching you.

Her room was nearly pitch black, nothing but smears of vague shadows created by the tiny strip of moonlight coming in the window. Shinguuji had thought some time in the countryside would do them both good, but truthfully, the lack of streetlights and city noises unnerved her a little. It was too quiet at night.

After the killing game, Himiko has nightmares.

No sign of any of the marine animals who sometimes came by to sun themselves on the shore in good weather, nor sailors drawing close, or so he thought at first glance. Dunking a tea bag into his mug and feeling it bob in the steaming water, Sollux just barely caught a glimpse of another dark, bobbing shape out on the horizon. A ship still far off but undeniably approaching through the tempest.

While he waits for Eridan to get home in the middle of a storm, Sollux reflects on another storm—the one that brought them together.

oh so ur telling it's been Them since the start. it's been misty and nat the day misty took off her mask in the pilot and pushed her broken glasses up on her face and smiled. not bc she found power in the hunt or pleasure in the kill, the way we were meant to believe all the way back in s1, but bc she was able to help nat get away w the radio and find rescue. this is where the unwavering devotion starts. its like. nat is crowned leader in s2. misty kneels. nat punches misty when she finds out abt the transponder (and keeps the secret for 25 years) and in the wake of it? misty still fucking kneels. i feel insane.
