Review: Dragon Ball Super 1x01 - 1x27: Where the New Entertain and the Retreads Falter
Review: Dragon Ball Super 1×01 – 1×27: Where the New Entertain and the Retreads Falter
First off, I’d like to apologize for not keeping up with these reviews. Translations keep coming in slow, and it was kind of hard to keep up with everything with my schedule. For the past several months, Japanese audiences (and the internet) have been treated to essentially Toei Animation’s version of Akira Toriyama’s scripts for both Battle of Gods and Resurrection ‘F’. These 90 minute stories…

This Week in TV: 05.23.16 - Out With the Old, In With the New
This Week in TV: 05.23.16 – Out With the Old, In With the New
I realize I haven’t actually done one of these deals in a while. Well, I’m back. This week in TV is interesting because the majority of the shows that have been going on for some time are having their season finales. And then there’s one really notable premier that at the time of writing has already taken place. First of all, let’s talk about finales. Last week, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Legends…

Review: Bates Motel 4x10 -- Norman
Review: Bates Motel 4×10 — Norman
Well, that was a thing that definitely happened, and now I need a hug. I’d imagine that the primary goal in the creation of a television show would be to make the season finale able to convince watchers to come back for the next season, and in that area, Bates Motel has sufficiently failed. After the season four finale, entitled Norman, I’m reconsidering whether I’ll be tuning in for the fifth…

Film Review: Captain America: Civil War
Film Review: Captain America: Civil War
I’ve been following the Marvel Cinematic Universe for a very long time. As in, since Iron Man came out in theaters eight years ago. In the years that followed, I’ve seen pretty much everything Marvel Studios has made absolutely slaughter the box office. Some of their works are basically instant classics, others, not so much. Among the ones I’d rank as instant classics, I’ve had a really hard time…

Review: Bates Motel 4x09: Forever
Review: Bates Motel 4×09: Forever
“I’ll share a personal theory of mine, and I’m fully willing to admit I may be 100% incorrect in suggesting this, but hear me out. I don’t think Norma Bates will live to see season five.” Sound familiar? That’s because I predicted this episode’s shocking events back during my review of this season’s fourth episode, entitled Lights of Winter. Yes, you read that correctly. In the penultimate…

Pixcelation Q&A: David Kracker, of Spike Chunsoft
Pixcelation Q&A: David Kracker, of Spike Chunsoft
It’s amazing when a foreign game development studio succeeds in the West. It paints a clear picture of what technology has not only done for communication between continents, but it also shows just how the transfer of information and stories can impact an audience, regardless of nationality or ethnicity. Case in point, the…

This Week in Gaming: 05.07.16 – Battleborn Launch, Persona 5 Japanese Release Date, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Backlash, & more
Welcome back to This Week in Gaming. As usual, there’s more release dates, announcements, and high-octane industry drama and shenanigans as E3 edges ever so closer. Photo: Mighty No. 9 official site. Kenji Inafune’s Kickstarter-funded ‘basically Mega Man but not exactly’ sidescrolling platformer finally has a release date (say that three times fast). Overcoming delay after delay, Mighty No. 9…

After a countdown, much waiting, and hype, Atlus held their Persona 5 livestream this morning and revealed tons of info about the upcoming RPG.
One of the biggest announcements at the live event was a Japanese release date for the game. P5 is set to release for PS3 and PS4 on September 15th, a mere 15 days before another big JRPG title, Final Fantasy XV. Other big announcements made include an art book, anniversary soundtrack set, and confirmed DLC costumes for the Persona 5 cast that dress them up to look like students from Gekkoukan or Yasogami High from Persona 3 and 4 respectively.
Also noteworthy, Atlus confirmed Persona 5: The Animation – The Day Breakers, an anime feature to air before the game in Japan as a prequel to the events in the game much akin to Final Fantasy XV: Brotherhood.
Unfortunately there’s still no word on a release date outside Japan; but, it’s safe to assume that if Atlus is going to announce it, E3 2016 will be when it happens.
Check out the gallery below for screenshots from the stream of the biggest announcements, or watch the stream for yourself below. We’ll update the article with a English-subtitled version as soon as it’s available.

Orphan Black 4x03 The Stigmata of Progress
Orphan Black 4×03 The Stigmata of Progress
This week on Orphan Black, this is exactly the kind of content I want to be watching. It’s flawed, still, but the story structure of “The Stigmata of Progress” has everything you come to this series to see. We have Felix making a stand for his own interests, removing himself from the role of Sarah’s sidekick. Sarah subsequently operating solo, possibly to be paired with someone new with a…
