i hate to do this, but this blog is now defunct.

i can't come up with anything plot-wise that isn't stupid, and i'm not getting asks outside of ask games which is one or two, at best. plus, i can't openly beg for asks because that's pathetic and tacky.

it's not like i don't have a lot of followers, it just seems as though my character isn't that engaging, and nobody finds objective questions fun anymore.

it's been a good [however many months], but honestly as much as i want to do this blog, the lack of interaction with other people on it has become a stressor.

i like the character, i like the community, but the longer i go through life, the more apparent it becomes to me that it doesn't matter what i like, and that i don't belong in any community. i belong in the corner, intermittently tossing my work behind my back into the larger room.

i wonder what i could've done differently. ease up on the lore restrictions, perhaps. reblog other people. write longer, more informative responses that didn't ramble. not have went inactive in the discord.

i'd say i'm sorry, but i know i was the only person attached to this blog.

Do you have any tips for raising Litwik? I've been trying to get as much information on them as possible so I can provide a safe and comfortable environment, but a lot of the stuff I've found is just the same "they eat souls/they're evil" stuff going around.

Oh boy let me tell you. When it was time for me to find a Partner Pokémon I was halfway to Celestial Tower before a Solosis latched onto me.

So here's the thing about Litwick. They don't steal your soul. But they can steal oxygen from your body. There's documented evidence of this happening with Greavard as well. Short of a pressurized suit, the only way to protect yourself is to befriend them, or just plain don't aggravate them. They're like Beedrill, almost. Don't bother them and they won't bother you. There's a reason the stories mention following their flames instead of just being around them.

There are plenty of other Pokémon that will attack you if you chase them around, ghost types just tend to get a bad rap. There are dangers to raising Litwick, but there are dangers to raising all Pokémon, from Volcarona to Lillipup.

So let's say you've succeeded in befriending one. When it comes to caring for a Litwick, it's important to have a cool, arid climate. Sticking an ac unit and a dehumidifier in one of your rooms is good. If you don't have multiple rooms, get an electric blanket and a big water bottle. If you're traveling, a Litwick will do just as well on the road as any other Pokémon. I've mentioned an ideal climate, but it'll tend to be okay in most places. Like most Pokémon, it really comes down to minimizing time spent in areas that actively make it uncomfortable. Try to avoid sandstorms and rain/hail.

Now enrichment is something all Pokémon need. For trainers, thats handled pretty easily by battle, even adventuring itself. If you're living at home, try keeping unlit candles for it to mess around with. Just make sure it doesn't knock them down. In fact, fireproof your home as much as possible. Carpets, furniture, etc. Just go to the store and tell a sales rep that you have a fire type Pokémon. Basic pokétoys are also recommended.

My favorite, huh? Probably my first. It was just a training thing but I remember being extremely excited. Less boring? There was one time a guy asked me and my partner for the day to help his friend who was stuck in Clay Tunnel. I've always liked caves, and the guy wasn't super beat up, just had a sprained ankle.

😓 - what was your least favourite mission?

I believe I've mentioned this before, but pretty early on, me and my partner for the day were tasked to capture a released Fraxure. We split up to look for it, but I was the one who found it. I turned back to call out to my partner, and it dragon clawed me, bad. Via managed to get my partner, and she managed to perform the capture on her own. I woke up in the hospital with some wicked scars on my side.
