Aptly enough, there have been a few actual cases of people having some unwelcome guests reside in their bodies. From a spider living in a human’s stomach to a cockroach dwelling in a man´s ear, check out these 10 horrifying things found living inside a human body. 57 maggots A 92 year-old woman was found with not one, not two, but 57 maggots inside her ear! Medics treating her believe that a fly crawled into her ear and laid eggs which hatched into something straight out of a nightmare. And what’s worse, the maggots had apparently been inside her ear for two to three days before they were found! Fly maggots in ear If you thought 57 maggots was a bit much, you’re out of luck. A man in India visited a hospital complaining about a pain in his ear. After the doctor examined his ear, he found hundreds of larvae feeding on the man´s flesh. If the maggots hadn’t been removed, they could have burrowed into the man´s brain and killed him. Pea plant in lungs When Ronan Svedan from Massachusetts experienced a persistent cough, he suspected a tumor to be the cause. But when he went to the hospital, to everybody´s amazement, the X-ray and other laboratory tests showed a small pea plant inside his lungs. Fish in a bladder A little, 2 cm (0.8 inch) long fish got into an Indian boy’s penis when he was cleaning his fish tank. According to Professors Vezhaventhan and Jeyaraman, who treated the boy (and later wrote a paper on it), after it entered his urethra, it made it all the way up to the bladder where it had to be surgically removed. Um…ouch? Fish in lungs Another boy from India complained about breathing problems after playing with his friends in a river. Much to the doctor’s surprise, a 9 cm (3.5 inch) long fish was found in the boy’s lung. The seemingly mysterious case was quickly solved when the boy told the doctors he was playing the “swallow a live fish” game which was apparently very popular among local kids. Bugs in scalp In 2007, a man from Colorado had a terrible itch in his scalp. Although he tried all kinds of special shampoos, ointments and other products, the itching got worse and worse until it turned into unbearable pain. When doctors finally examined his scalp, they found botfly maggots, each about the size of a penny. Spider in stomach Speaking of spiders, after Australian Dylan Maxwell returned home from his holiday on the Indonesian island of Bali, he found a strange red scar-like trail leading from his navel up to his chest. He originally thought something had bitten him but when he went to a hospital, the shocked doctors found out the trail was burrowed by a little tropical spider that got in his body and survived there for several days.

Apart from Rama Setu (Adam’s bridge) between Dhanuskodi and Sri Lanka, one can find many sites. According to Valmiki Ramayana, Ravana brought Seetha Devi from India in a Pushpaka Vimana which is widely known in Sri Lanka as the “Dandu Monara Yanthranaya,” or Large Peacock Machine in Sinhala. Few people do not like to believe that the present Sri Lanka is the Lanka mentioned in the Ramayana, but we find that there is still much convincing tradition therein and many sites identified with the Ramayana’s Sundara Kanda and Yuddha Kanda. There are more than 50 sites in Sri Lanka, which are mentioned in Ramayana, from the place of Seetha’s captivity to the battlefields where both armies clashed, to the groves of exotic herbs dropped by Hanuman, to the ultimate place of war where Lord Rama slew Ravana, the ten-headed demon-king. An oath taken at the spot where Sita Devi undertook “Agni Pariksha” is still considered valid in village courts or grama sabhas. The color of the soil of the ancient battlefield is still red today, and is still surrounded by lighter colored earth. One of the airports of Ravana, torched by Hanuman when he came looking for Seetha, still has a scorched-earth look. A patch of darker soil surrounded by brown earth. Exotic alpine Himalayan species are found suddenly amidst tropical Sri Lankan vegetation, the legacy of Hanuman’s heroic voyage carrying a mountain with life-restoring herbs called Sanjeevani. What is more incredible is that the names of places have come down to modern times unchanged. Ravana, using a golden deer as a decoy, visited Seetha when she was alone. In the guise of an old sage, he abducted and brought her to Weragantota in Lanka in his plane, the Pushpaka vimana. Weragantota means the “place of aircraft landing” in Sinhala. This is the first place Seetha was brought to Lankapura (capita city of king Ravana). These jungles are the place where the city of Lankapura once stood. The city had a beautiful palace for Queen Mandodari surrounded by waterfalls, streams and varieties of flora and fauna. Seetha was kept at Queen Mandodari’s palace at Lankapura. Place Sita was held captive is called Seetha Kotuwa, which means “Seetha’s Fort” in Sinhala. Ravana had an aircraft repair center at Gurulupotha close to Seetha Kotuwa. In Valmiki’s depiction, King Ravana’s vimana resembled a huge peacock. The vimana in Sinhala language means “Dhandu Monara” which is known as “flying peacock,” and hence the name Gurulupotha, which means “parts of birds” in Sinhala. This is also called Gavagala. After Ravana’s death, his body was kept at Yahangala, meaning “Bed Rock” in Sinhala. This is situated along the Mahiyanganaya – Wasgamuwa road. King Ravana’s body was kept upon this rock so his countrymen could pay their last respects to their dear departed king. Geographically this rock is visible from miles away on its 3 sides. Seetha met Rama after the war, and at Divurumpola, she under went the “Agni” test of fire where she proved her innocence and purity to Rama. Divurumpola means the “Place of Oath” in Sinhala. She came out unscathed to proved her innocence and purity. Vantharamulai is a place that Lord Rama, Seetha, Lakshmana, and Hanuman rested after the turmoil of the war. Amaranthakali is the place where they had the first meal after the war. Rama installed first Siva Lingam at Munneswaram, to get rid of ‘Brahma Hatya Dosham‘ (killing of a brahmin Ravana). This was done at Manavari about 5 Km from Munneswaram, near the banks of Deduru Oya. In addition to above, there are many Ramayana sites in Sri Lanka like : Thotupolakanda (“Mountain Port” in Sinhala) at Horton plains Weragantota (“Place of Aircraft” landing in Sinhala) in Mahiyangana Ussangoda (“Area of Lift” in Sinhala) in the Southern coast Wariapola (“Aircraft Port” in Sinhala) in Matale and Kurunagala.

It was 19th century, after colonializing India for several decades, westerners got hold of nuances of Vedas at surface level. They understood a bit about powerful knowledge that Vedas had. They also were able to grasp Hindi and Sanskrit language due to long stay in India. Vedas had free information, as it was heritage of mankind for the development of human race – to rise to the higher planets – devoid of wicked materialistic traits. Westerners were never used to free knowledge in their home countries. Any kind of knowledge was envisioned from commercial point of view, secrets were kept under wraps so that the idea can be milked for longer time. When they found great knowledge of Vedas – that too powerful yet free, they were up for grabs. These fools were so astonished that in a bid to earn name and fame in shorter possible time; they hurriedly translated Vedas in their own languages without fully knowing their meanings and main purpose. That is the reason why most of the modern scientific principles fails on the parameters of original source of Vedic principles, these cannot be validated by the Vedas. Some of the known scientists/inventors that mis-construed Vedas for personal gain are given below: Exploration with the help of Vedas Earth and her continents with size, distance, features and their prosperities were always detailed in Vedas. As an example, let us look at the naming of the very continents of North and South America. Both great land masses were well populated and existed long, long before they were “discovered” by Columbus when the Italian explorer first landed on Watling Island in 1492. Shankhdvip (conch shaped island) in Vedas is today called Africa. one of these great continents would soon be named for Italian explorer Amerigo Vespucci. Similarly, to this day borrowed “discoveries” are still appropriated in all branches of science. Refer the images below for the shape and distance of 9 continents, khand, mentioned in Vedas. India is still known as Bharat Varsha by Sanskrit pandits. Though Bharath Varsha or India that we all today know is just small part of rest of the hidden Bharath Varsha – that cannot be found or roamed with basic human features we have, we need to elevate our consciousness to highest level, rising our kundalini, and becoming creator (shiva) by enlarging our pineal gland while chanting mahamantras with meditation while practicing celibacy.

Obviously, it's China but Whenever India and China face off on the border, the immediate question that arises is, who is the bigger military power? Obviously, it's China. China dwarfs India in overall defence capabilities. Its defence budget stands at $152 billion against India’s $51 billion, which is three times that of India. But that doesn't mean China can subdue India. Governments on both sides believe that the next India-China conflict would be limited in scope and short in duration. Below is a detailed comparison of the military strength of the two countries: Army: India has around 1.2 million active personnel, 4,426 combat tanks, 6,704 armoured fighting vehicles, 290 self-propelled artillery, 7,414 towered artillery and 290 rocket projectors. On the other hand, China has around 2.3 million personnel in active service with 6,457 in combat tanks, 4,788 armoured fighting vehicles, 1,710 self-propelled artillery, 6,246 towered artillery and 1,770 rocket projectors. Navy: China's naval assets include 714 vessels, with one aircraft carrier, 51 frigates, 35 destroyers, 35 corvettes, 68 submarines, 220 patrol craft and 51 mini warfare vessels. India’s naval assets include 295 vessels, with three aircraft carriers (one each in service, under construction and being planned), 14 frigates, 11 destroyers, 23 corvettes, 15 submarines, 139 patrol craft and six mini warfare vessels. Clearly, Chinese naval power overwhelmingly exceeds ours. However, Indian Navy is acquiring as well as building vessels to expand its fleet. Air force: India’s total aircraft strength is about 2102, with 676 fighter aircraft, 809 attack aircraft, 857 transporters and 323 trainer aircraft. Total helicopters are around 666, including 16 attack helicopters. China’s total aircraft strength is about 2,955, with 1,271 fighter aircraft, 1,385 attack aircraft, 782 transporters, 352 trainer aircraft. It has 912 helicopters out of which 206 are attack helicopters. Nuclear stockpile: India’s nuclear stockpile has around 130 warheads. Minimum tactical missile range is about 150 km, farthest strike distance tested successfully is 5,000-6,000 km (Agni -V). Surya, an intercontinental ballistic missile being developed, has a range up to 16,000 km. China has a nuclear stockpile of 270 warheads. Chinese Intercontinental ballistic missiles can strike targets as far as 15,000 km. A missile shield guards China from incoming missiles by intercepting them before they reach Chinese territory. China has at least 90 ICBMs out of which 66 are land-based and 24 are submarine-based.

The Vedic civilization, according to the ancient scriptures, was at a much higher level of development than our modern society. In Sanskrit “veda” means knowledge. So what kind of knowledge are we talking about? From the standpoint of current evolutionary theory, the human race is supposed to be at the top of the society development. However, according to the Vedic literature, in a distant past there have been civilizations in the world, the greatness of which we cannot even imagine. A detailed study of the Vedic texts was held in Bombay in 1975. It was a scientific “explosion” in physicist circles when the scientists have discovered the vivid description of subatomic level in the Vedas written some five thousand years ago. The Mahabharata, an ancient historical epic, describes the use of nuclear weapons as follows: “It was as if all the nature’s forces have been suddenly unleashed. Something dazzling like the sun revolved in circles. Burned with a heat of this weapon, the world was staggering, as in a fever. Elephants caught fire from the heat and rushed wildly hither and thither in search of protection from the terrible power. Water in the sea turned hot, the animals were dying, the foes were killed and trees were falling in rows under the fury of the forest fire. Elephants blew their trunks fiercely and fell dead on the ground. Horses and chariots were burned on the spot. Thus, thousands of enemy chariots were destroyed, and then deep silence descended on the sea. Wind began to blow and the earth shined. It was a terrible sight. The corpses of the fallen were mutilated by terrible heat so that they no longer resembled people. Never before have we seen such a terrible weapon and did not hear about it. ” (Drona-parva) The Vedic texts contain a large number of descriptions of different types of weapons, ranging from primitive stone throwing slings (sarvatobhadra), wall smashing mechanisms (udghatima), to all sorts of high velocity dart throwing devices (yantra-sara), and ending with weapons which damaging force does not have modern analogues. The tenth canto of Bhagavata Purana describes the various battles with weapons of extraordinary power. Those battles were fought by our ancient ancestors inhabited the planet, as well as representatives from other worlds. It is obvious that our ancestors were much more highly developed than we are today. Comparing to them we look like babies, at least in technical terms. It appeared that the city was well-protected even in terms of today’s scientific advancement. In Vedic literature there are many references to flying saucers. In general, they are called the vimana. Vimanas in the Vedas are divided into two categories: 1) the mechanical machines, similar to airplanes and flying with wings like a bird; 2) and very complex machines that can not be precisely classified, which had unlimited possibilities. Machines of the first category are described mainly in medieval writings in Sanskrit, along with other various automatic devices and military machines. There were robots designed in the form of male and female figures that performed various functions. They were made mostly of wood, but perfectly covered with humanlike skin. Their motions were provided by the system of bolts, iron rods, springs and grooves. These figures played musical instruments, served drinks to guests and did other similar services. Yantrapurusha or man-machine could behave exactly like a real human. It is described in Bhagaya-vastu how an artist visited home of the yantracharya, or a teacher of mechanical engineering. There he was met by a robot-girl who washed his feet and had a resemblance of a real person until he realized that she was unable to speak. However, it is known that there were even speaking and absolutely fantastic sounding robots. Are we able now, with all our modern science and computer technology, to repeat a similar level of inventive skill? Can we believe that the technical progress, as it is described in the Vedas, has really existed on Earth? Are Sanskrit texts the only proof of greatness of that ancient civilization?

Tibet and Dalai Lama When China invaded Tibet, Dalai Lama fled to India and entered into Indian controlled region(some claim, without knowledge of Indian authorities). Later Dalai Lama asked Indian PM for protection. Considering Indian culture and history Indian PM agreed to provide refugee for Dalai Lama. China is not happy with this development. Hence Inda-China and Tibet issue. India never spoke against China's Tibet invasion. As the two neighbouring countries, China and India have historical issues such as the border dispute and also some emerging new issues with the development of the relations between the two countries. How to deal with these issues is a major challenge for the relationship between the two countries. India and pakistan relations already running on a tense note between India and Pakistan over terrorism and rising tensions at borders, China has assured in unequivocal terms of its support in case of any foreign aggression to Islamabad including its stance on the Kashmir issue. China’s support was confirmed in a press release issued by the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s Office, reports Dawn. “In case of any foreign aggression, our country will extend its full support to Pakistan,” the statement quoted Consul General of China in Lahore Yu Boren as saying. The message was conveyed during a meeting of its top diplomat in the provincial capital with Chief Minister Sharif. The statement said that Beijing “will be siding with Pakistan on Kashmir issue” and the Kashmir issue should be solved in accordance with aspirations of the Kashmiris. The duo also discussed the progress being made on various projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The bilateral relationship between The People’s Republic of China and The Republic of India finds its roots 2000 years back in the history. This cultural and economic relationship has been highly unpredictable since then and has witnessed gains and losses in ever changing political scenario. 4 point conflict between India and China are... 1. Quest to become Power Center... 21st century has already been declared as the century of Asia.Amidst countless instabilities and power imbalance only India and China has been the pinnacle in proving this declaration true.Whether it be financial growth, social security, military power or technological advancement, cut throat competition has been observed between these two nations to prove supremacy in the Asia Pacific region. 2. Ages old Border dispute... The McMahon line marking the boundary between India and Tibet was accepted as the legal border by India but this was declared invalid by the Chinese government thereby accepting Line of Actual Control as the original border between the countries. Numerous incidents have been observed in the past where these two interfered in each others territory due to acceptance of different borders by the two. 3. One Belt One Road Project (OBOR)... President Jinping ‘s much awaited project - OBOR is an effort to revive the ancient Silk route . This initiative focuses on improving connectivity and cooperation among Asian countries, Africa, China and Europe. OBOR is much more than a road facilitating easier transportation , it is a strategic policy which gives the Chinese army unparalleled advantage at times of war. CPEC (China Pakistan Economic Corridor) is a route which comes under OBOR which connects Pakistan’s Gwadar port to Chinese Xinjiang province. The conflict arises from the fact that CPEC passes through disputed areas of Gilgit Baltistan which India claims as its territory under illegal occupation of Pakistan 4. India’s recognition to Tibet... Tibet which makes a quarter of China’s land area is the most prominent conflict when it comes to India and China.China did not use to share its boundaries with present day India,Nepal and Bhutan before it annexed Tibet and started to indulge in disputes with these nations. After the invasion Buddhist spiritual leader Dalai Lama fled his homeland and arrived in India pleading for government protection.PRC considers Dalai Lama as a threat to Tibet’s merger with China and has strongly criticized India’s policy of treating Tibet as an independent nation and providing shelter to the Tibetan refugees.

They won't harm the birds, but they can live on after passing through the intestinal tract and into the litter. If a bird is raised in feces-laden litter, the bacteria are easily spread to other chickens and increase in number. The bugs may even transfer onto vegetables in the fields where farmers spread poultry poop as fertilizer. And ultimately, they may end up in you after a chicken dinner. Even though the USDA inspects processing plants, independent studies show that almost all supermarket chicken harbors bacteria. The National Antimicrobial Resistance Monitoring System found that among supermarket chicken breasts sampled between 2002 and 2010, an average of 83 percent were contaminated with E. coli, 47 percent with Campylobacter, and 13 percent with salmonella. In 2013, Consumer Reports bought 316 packages of chicken breasts from supermarkets across the country. It found that 97 percent had bacteria, including salmonella, Campylobacter, and Enterococcus. If you don't properly handle and cook poultry, these bacteria may cause diarrhea and other gastrointestinal problems. Severe illness and death are likeliest in the very young, the very old, and anyone with weakened immunity. In fact, from 1998 to 2008, more deaths from foodborne pathogens were attributed to poultry than any other food. But foodborne illness is a fatal footnote to a much bigger problem: antibiotic resistance. If you viewed chicken litter under a microscope, you'd see a primordial stew of mutating microorganisms. "It's like this giant mixing pot for the evolution of these bacteria," says Lance Price, Ph.D., a public health researcher at George Washington University. Price studies the DNA of bacteria, and he's increasingly worried that antibiotics' effectiveness is waning. "The CDC, WHO—everybody calls this one of the greatest threats we face today in terms of public health," he says. "We can't be using these antibiotics like cheap production tools." Price went to the Morison farm back in 2007, when it was still under contract with Perdue. In a study published in Environmental Health Perspectives, he reported that poultry workers were 32 times as likely as people outside the industry to be carrying antibiotic-resistant E. coli. Plus, there's the nausea-inducing "pursuit" study from Johns Hopkins back in 2008: Researchers drove behind poultry transport trucks for 17 miles. These dedicated scientists left their car windows open, and after the trek they took samples from their cars. Their lab tests found that significant amounts of antibiotic-resistant bacteria had spread to the air and landed on surfaces inside the cars. These bugs are hardy. They're everywhere, and they'd like to make a home inside you. That Consumer Reports research found that about half of the samples had at least one bacterium that showed resistance to three or more drugs or classes of drugs that would normally be effective against them. In 2013 a particularly powerful salmonella outbreak originated from the U.S. chicken supplier Foster Farms. The flare-up featured the multidrug-resistant Heidelberg strain, which sent twice as many people (254, in 29 states) to the hospital as a typical salmonella outbreak would.

The five prayags - prayag meaning "place of sacrifice" in Sanskrit - also termed as “Prayag pentad”, namely the five river prayags, are Vishnuprayag, Nandaprayag, Karnaprayag, Rudraprayag and Devprayag, in the descending flow sequence of their occurrence. Prayag in Hindu tradition signifies confluence of two or more rivers where ablutions (bathing) before worship, religious rites called the Shraddha (the last rites) for the departed and worship of the river itself as manifestation of God are a prevalent practice. While the Prayag at Allahabad, where the three rivers namely, the Ganges, the Yamuna and the Saraswati confluence, is considered the holiest, the Panch Prayag of Garhwal Himalayas are the next in the order of piety. The Prayags are rich not only with stories from puranas and legend but also in scenic beauty of the Himalayan snow-covered peaks and enchanting valleys. It is also deduced that the Panch Prayag located on the road to Badrinath refer to the Svargarohana (ascend to heaven) route followed by the Pandavas to attain salvation after they completed circumambulation of the earth. It starts with the Vishnu Prayag on the Alaknanda River, which is one of the two source streams of the most sacred river Ganges in the Garhwal Himalayas; the other streams are the Dhauliganga, Mandakini, Pindar and the Bhagirathi - the head stream of the Ganges. Alaknanda descending from the foot of the Satopanth (a triangular lake, which is located at a height of 4,402 m (14,442.3 ft), above the sea level and named after the Hindu trinity: Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva and Bhagirath Kharak glaciers near the Nanda Devi peak, in Uttarakhand cascades over a length of 229 km (142.3 mi) encompassing the five prayags and is joined at Dev Prayag by the Bhagirathi, a shorter river source vis-à-vis Alaknanda to form the main stream of the Ganges. It flows down south towards Rishikesh and Haridwar, two holy places on the bank of the Ganges in Uttarakhand. At each of the confluences, with large influx of pilgrims who visit the state for the pilgrimage of the Panch Kedar and Sapta Badri temples, large religious towns have developed. Pilgrims take a dip in the river at these locations before embarking on visiting the holy shrines in the “Deva Bhumi” (god's land) as Uttarakhand is commonly known. The religious towns are named after the confluence sites as: Devaprayag, Nandprayag, Karnaprayag, Rudraprayag, except Vishnuprayag, where there is no town but it is about 12 km (7.5 mi) from Joshimath town another famous Hindu religious centre), along a winding road that further leads to Badrinath Temple and beyond. Some pilgrims do ablution at all the five prayags before worshiping Vishnu at Badrinath.

Gandhar: Sindh Pradesh, Rawalpindi This is an ancient city of Mahabharata times situated to the west of river Sindhu in Sindhu Pradesh. Dhritrashtra’s wife Gandhari was the daughter of King Subal of Gandhar. Gandhari’s brother Shakuni was Duryodhan’s maternal uncle, who defeated Pandavas by fraud in a gamble and became one of the reasons of the war of Mahabharata. Takshashila: Rawalpindi, present-day Pakistan Takshashila was an ancient city of Mahabharata time and capital of Gandhar Desh. Dhritrashtra’s wife Gandhari was the daughter of King Subal of Gandhar. After the war of Mahabharata, when the Pandavas left for the Himalayas, Parikshit was crowned the King. He died due to a snake bite. Then to take revenge of his death, Parikshit’s son Janmejay performed a “Nagyagya” in Takshashila and had many snakes killed. Shivi Desh: South Punjab, north border of India Shivi Desh was located on the north border of India in South Punjab. The grandson of the generous King Ushinar was a Shaivya, who had got his daughter Devika married to Yudhishthir. During the war of Mahabharata, Shaivya played the major role of an archer from the side of the Pandavas. Hastinapur: Near Meerut, Uttar Pradesh Hastinapur, located near Meerut in Uttar Pradesh, was the grand city of Mahabharata time. This was the capital of the Kauravas and the Pandavas. Hastinapur has witnessed many famous incidences described in the Mahabharata. Here, Yudhishthir lost his brothers and Draupadi along with his wealth in the game of gamble. Krishna had visited the court of Dhritrashtra being a peace messenger of the Pandavas. Before the birth of the Pandavas and Kauravas, Bhishma had taken an oath here to not to marry in life and let go of his right to the throne as his father Shantanu wanted to marry a boatman’s daughter Satyavati. After winning the war of Mahabharata, Pandavas made Hastinapur their capital. Varnavat: Near Meerut, Uttar Pradesh It is a city located near Meerut in Uttar Pradesh, as described in the Mahabharata. It was here that Duryodhan built a Lakshgriha (wax house) to kill the Pandavas. This city is situated on the banks of the river Ganga. To avoid the war of Mahabharata, Pandavas had asked for five villages from the Kauravas, Varnavat being one of these five cities. Even today, there is a small village here named Barnava, which reminds one of the Mahabharata period. Indraprastha: South of present-day New Delhi Indraprastha was a grand city situated to the south of present-day New Delhi. The Pandavas had established this city after destroying Khandav Van (forest). Vishwakarma, the architect of the devtas (deities) had designed this city. This city was the capital of the Pandavas. Even today, there was a small town named Indraprastha, which reminds one of the ancient town Indraprastha. Kashi: Uttar Pradesh The ancient city of Mahabharata period, Kashi was famous as the chief education centre of India. Bhisma Pitamah had won over Amba, Ambika and Ambalika, the three daughters of the Kashi King. Bhisma wanted to get them married to Vichitravirya. Amba was in love with Shalya, brother of Shishupal, so she refused to marry Vichitravirya. So Ambika and Ambalika were married to Vichitravirya. Dhritrashtra was Ambika’s son and Pandu was Ambalika’s son. Dhritrashtra’s sons were called Kauravas and Pandu’s sons were called Pandavas. The Mahabharata war was fought between the Kauravas and the Pandavas. Dwarka: Gujarat This is situated on the west coast of Gujarat and is an ancient city of the Mahabharata period. To protect the Yadavas from on and off attacks of Jarasandh, Lord Krishna shifted his capital from Mathura to Dwarka. In fact, there are two Dwarka cities. One is on the banks of River Gomati where Krishna settled the Yadavas and carried on the administration work of the state from there and the second one is Bet Dwarka, where the citizens resided. Marine Archeologists have found the sunken remains of Bet-Dwarka off the coast of Gujarat. It is estimated to be a couple of thousand years old.

During his lifetime -which lasted 350–283 BCE - he was an adviser, strategist, author and politician. His thoughts on various subjects prove to be beneficial if adopted by people even today. Chanakya Neeti - Motivational Quotes & Ideas by Chanakya... These Lessons on ‘Office Politics’ Will Open Your Eyes! Office Politics is something that exists in every organisation and is not going to go away anytime soon. While some people deal with it without getting too affected by it, others find it a serious issue that hampers their performance. Whatever may be the case, since you can’t change people who engage in petty politics for personal gain, here are few tricks suggested by Acharya Chanakya that will help you deal better with it in a smart way. Take a look at what this great author of ancient times said about ‘office politics’ in his book Arthashastra. The above statement by Chanakya means that everybody has some weakness. But insecure people have a tendency to conceal their weaknesses by ridiculing or making fun of others. Therefore, to deal with such people, be friends with them until you know what their weakness is. Once the weak point of your enemy is known, that’s the right time to attack. In this quote, Chanakya is offering a method of devastating one’s enemy. One’s weak points should never be revealed to anyone. Who knows you may be opening up in front of an enemy? It is natural tendency of an enemy to attack on the weaker side of the adversary. A ruler wishing to win should not trust a captured enemy even if he is extending a hand to be a friend. Your good behavior will only add more power to you. Acting over smart renders one powerless. The enemy takes advantage of it. No amount of advice can change a foolish man’s attitude. Try to treat an evil person well and you will only receive more wickedness from him. Chanakya says that evil people only derive pleasure in hurting others, even if you’re good to them. For instance, a serpent will ejects poison despite his master feeding him milk.

Every religion has ceremonies and practices that mark life’s milestones: birth, marriage, the transition to adulthood, and death, many of which may sound unusual to non-practitioners. Sometime people practice some rituals which are adopted as a part of religion, sometime they practice cultural traditions which seems bizarre to others. There are a lot of traditions that seems really bizarre to the world where it is not followed. Here is a list: 10 bizarre traditions that are still observed around the word. Burial Ritual Yanomami Funeral rituals for dead relatives is very important inYanomami tribe (Venezuela and Brazil), the people of this tribe want to to ensure peace for the souls of dead person. When a Yanomami dies, his body is burned. The ash and bone powder is mix into a plantain soup. His people then drinks the plantain soup consisting of the dead person’s ash and bone. They believe that by ingesting the remains of a love one, his spirit will live within them forever. Every body must be cremated, because the Yanomami think that leaving a dead body to decay is horrifying. In addition, the soul will be unhappy if he couldn’t find a resting place in the bodies of his loved ones. A dead body must be dispose of as soon as possible, because the soul may come back and haunt the remaining ones. Finger Cutting of Dani Tribe The Dani (or Ndani) tribe is the indigenous people that inhabit the fertile lands of the Baliem Valley in West Papua, New Guinea. The members of this tribe cut off their fingers as a way of displaying their grief at funeral ceremonies. Along with amputation, they also smeared their faces with ashes and clay, as an expression of sorrow. They will cut off their hand`s fingers to express love to someone they love very much. When a person in Dani`s tribe passes away, his relative like wife or husband cut off his hand finger and bury together with the dead body of her husband or wife, as a symbol of love to her husband or wife. Finger represents body and soul that will always live together with his/her spouse. The number of fingers that will be cut off depends on how many persons She/He loves even though she/he will lose all of her hand`s fingers and will be unable to perform household chores effectively. Baby Throwing, India The bizarre ritual of throwing newborn babies off a temple 50ft high and catching them in a cloth has been celebrated in India since last 500 years. It is practised by couples who are blessed with a child after taking a vow at the Sri Santeswar temple near Indi, in the state of Karnataka. The ritual is observed by both Muslims and Hindus every year and takes place amid tight security. The ritual takes place in the first week of December, and is believed to bring health, prosperity and luck to new arrivals. Around 200 babies are dropped by their parents every year while crowds sing and dance. Most of the infants are under two years old. Penis Festival, Japan Better known as the Kanamara Matsuri, devotees carry a large sculpture in the shape of a penis and parade through the streets of Kawasaki in Japan. It is said that a demoness with vaginal teeth seduced men to their deaths until temple priests used a metal d**k to destroy her deadly secret weapon. Several sex workers take part in this festival to pray for good health and protection against STDs.

The world of commercial aviation is still a complex and mysterious place. There are many odd things about flying that most passengers don’t know. Here are some things you might want to know. Remember the first time you flew in an airplane and the crazy thoughts that zipped through your head? Will the door break open? Will the plane have to land on water? Will there be a hijacking? Well, most of us brushed away these negative thoughts trusting technology and the pilot. But the truth is far from what we believe it to be. Lots of planes carry dead bodies and organs Pilot Mr Miguez wrote on Reddit: “A lot of freight gets shipped on commercial flights. “One of these items were always called HR on the radios. HR was an abbreviation for ‘Human Remains’. “Some people die far away from where they want to get buried. They’re packed in wood-framed boxes, so you would never know what was inside except by the strange shape of them. “If you hear about an HR while flying Delta, it means there’s a dead body in cargo. “Some airlines, such as EasyJet, don’t carry cargo — and therefore won’t have any coffins in the hold.” Passengers often die on board, and different airlines have different ways of dealing with it. And there are many more facts in our video. Please go through it and share it if you like...

Such has been the aura of Mummies that nobody-including Archaeologists, Researchers, Scientists, Historians, Film makers- can get enough of them. However, there are still a lot of facts that we have been averse to for there is more to it than what meets the eye. Here are few immensely engaging facts about Mummies that are bound to hit that sweet spot of curiosity within. Making of Egyptian Mummies... It was very important to ancient Egyptian religious beliefs that the human body was preserved. A method of artificial preservation, called mummification was developed by the ancient Egyptians. Mummification was a complicated and lengthy process which lasted up to 70 days. A mummy is the body of a person (or an animal) that has been preserved after death. Mummies were any Egyptian who could afford to pay for the expensive process of preserving their bodies for the afterlife. The Egyptians believed in life after death. They believed that they had to preserve their bodies so they could use them in the afterlife. The Egyptians believed that when they died, they would make a journey to another world where they would lead a new life. They would need all the things they had used when they were alive, so their families would put those things in their graves. Egyptians paid vast amounts of money to have their bodies properly preserved. Egyptians who were poor were buried in the sand whilst the rich ones were buried in a tomb. It took a very long time, from start to finish, it took about 70 days to embalm a body. The priest in charge would wear the mask of a jackal representing the god Anubis. 1. The body was washed and purified. 2. Organs were removed. Only the heart remained. 3. The body was filled with stuffing. 4. The body was dried by covering it with a substance called natron*. This substance absorbed all the moisture from the body. 5. After 40 - 50 days the stuffing was removed and replaced with linen or sawdust. 6. The body was wrapped in strands of linen and covered in a sheet called a shroud. 7. The body was placed in a stone coffin called a sarcophagus. The mummy was now ready for its journey to the afterlife. Natron is a natural salt, composed of sodium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate with traces of sodium chloride and sodium sulfate. It was used by the ancient egyptians to dry out the bodies. The Egyptians thought the heart was the centre of intelligence and emotion. Anubis was the god of mummification. He had a human body and the head of a jackal. His job was to prepare the bodies of the dead to be received by Osiris. Ancient Egyptians were buried with their belongings and the tomb walls were painted with scenes from the dead persons life. The objects included furniture, games and even food was placed in the tombs for the long After Life journey! Canopic Jars were used by ancient Egyptians to hold mummified remains. The poor Egyptians were buried in the sand. Only the rich ones were buried in a tomb. In the Old and Middle Kingdoms (2628-1638 BC), Egyptian kings were buried in pyramids. About 50 royal pyramids have survived. They were built on the desert edge, west of the ancient capital of Memphis. The pyramids are the stone tombs of Egypt's kings - the Pharaohs. The Egyptians believed that if the pharaoh's body could be mummified after death the pharaoh would live forever. The tombs were designed to protect the buried Pharaoh's body and his belongings.

Got an appetite for high altitude? Originating in Belgium, the concept involves a crane hoisting guests, who are securely strapped into “dining chairs” 160 feet up in the air, along with a table, wait staff, and everything that’s required to enjoy a meal floating above the ground. The novelty-based mobile restaurant has gained popularity worldwide and is now offered for limited run periods in cities around the globe, including Montreal. Modern Toilet — Taipei City, Taiwan Province, People's Republic of China... The idea for this odd restaurant was conceived by one of the owners while he was reading while sitting—where else?—on a toilet. Initially it only sold chocolate ice cream in containers shaped like a squat toilet, but once the humorous spin became a great success, a full-fledged, bathroom-themed eatery emerged. Today, Modern Toilet is a chain with locations across Asia and it has plans for further expansion. If the idea piques your curiosity, drop in to have a seat at one of the (non-working) toilets where meals are served in toilet bowl-shaped dinnerware. Cabbages and Condoms — Bangkok, Thailand... As dining out can be dangerous, play it safe at Cabbages and Condoms, where the grub's “guaranteed not to cause pregnancy” — although whether it'll help induce it is anybody's guess. Expect condom-themed décor (like flowers with Trojan petals), and a wait staff who may or may not be donning inflated condoms... on their heads. Also, in lieu of after-dinner mints, you’re invited to take a condom. Because nothing says dinnertime quite like a side of latex. Heart Attack Grill — Las Vegas, USA One of the few places in Vegas where the food, and the waitresses underdressed like sexy nurses, will raise your blood pressure, this famous hospital-themed joint specializes in artery-clogging, four-patty Quadruple Bypass burgers, and serves anyone who weighs in at over 350lbs for free. Disaster Cafe — Lloret de Mar, Spain Because what's better than partaking of a lovely meal whilst experiencing a simulated earthquake? Probably a lot, but that's what you get at Disaster Cafe — Spanish red and a 7.8 on the Richter Scale. He is credited with unifying and establishing the main currents of thought in Hinduism. His works in Sanskrit discuss the unity of the ātman and Nirguna Brahman "brahman without attributes". He wrote copious commentaries on the Vedic canon (Brahma Sutras, Principal Upanishads and Bhagavad Gita) in support of his thesis. His works elaborate on ideas found in the Upanishads. Shankara's publications criticised the ritually-oriented Mīmāṃsā school of Hinduism. He also explained the key difference between Hinduism and Buddhism, stating that Hinduism asserts "Atman (Soul, Self) exists", while Buddhism asserts that there is "no Soul, no Self". Shankara travelled across the Indian subcontinent to propagate his philosophy through discourses and debates with other thinkers. He established the importance of monastic life as sanctioned in the Upanishads and Brahma Sutra, in a time when the Mīmāṃsā school established strict ritualism and ridiculed monasticism. He is reputed to have founded four mathas ("monasteries"), which helped in the historical development, revival and spread of Advaita Vedanta of which he is known as the greatest revivalist. Adi Shankara is believed to be the organiser of the Dashanami monastic order and unified the Shanmata tradition of worship. He is also known as Adi Shankaracharya, Shankara Bhagavatpada, sometimes spelled as Sankaracharya, (Ādi) Śaṅkarācārya, Śaṅkara Bhagavatpāda and Śaṅkara Bhagavatpādācārya. Shankara was most likely born in the southern Indian state of Kerala, according to the oldest biographies in a village named Kaladi sometimes spelled as Kalati or Karati, but some texts suggest the birthplace to be Chidambaram in Tamil Nadu. His father died while Shankara was very young. Shankara's upanayanam, the initiation into student-life, had to be delayed due to the death of his father, and was then performed by his mother. Shankara's hagiography describe him as someone who was attracted to the life of Sannyasa (hermit) from early childhood. His mother disapproved. A story, found in all hagiographies, describe Shankara at age eight going to a river with his mother, Sivataraka, to bathe, and where he is caught by a crocodile. Shankara called out to his mother to give him permission to become a Sannyasin or else the crocodile will kill him. The mother agrees, Shankara is freed and leaves his home for education. He reaches a Saivite sanctuary along a river in a north-central state of India, and becomes the disciple of a teacher named Govinda Bhagavatpada. The stories in various hagiographies diverge in details about the first meeting between Shankara and his Guru, where they met, as well as what happened later. Several texts suggest Shankara schooling with Govindapada happened along the river Narmada in Omkareshwar, a few place it along river Ganges in Kashi (Varanasi) as well as Badari (Badrinath in the Himalayas). While the details and chronology vary, most biographies mention Adi Shankara traveling widely within India, Gujarat to Bengal, and participating in public philosophical debates with different orthodox schools of Hindu philosophy, as well as heterodox traditions such as Buddhists, Jains, Arhatas, Saugatas, and Carvakas. During his tours, he is credited with starting several Matha (monasteries), however this is uncertain. Ten monastic orders in different parts of India are generally attributed to Shankara's travel-inspired Sannyasin schools, each with Advaita notions, of which four have continued in his tradition: Bharati (Sringeri), Sarasvati (Kanchi), Tirtha and Asramin (Dvaraka). Other monasteries that record Shankara's visit include Giri, Puri, Vana, Aranya, Parvata and Sagara – all names traceable to Ashrama system in Hinduism and Vedic literature. Adi Sankara is believed to have died aged 32, at Kedarnath in the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand, a Hindu pilgrimage site in the Himalayas. Some texts locate his death in alternate locations such as Kanchipuram (Tamil Nadu) and somewhere in the state of Kerala.
