Hello, And Welcome

This is the first post to chronicle my creation of multiple video games, all under the current title of “A Series of Control and Freedom.” 

I’ll be making weekly posts about my progress while I learn to program for the game, outline what I’ve gotten done, and generally make progress reports for the audience.

The game will be a text-based surreal horror game, focused on the choices you make and the world around you. It will be computer only, given that it requires the user to type in inputs to progress the game. There will be various accessibility options to make it more friendly for a wider audience as well- while a full voice-over of the games is not currently planned, there will be options to minimize eyestrain, dyslexic font options, and more as makes sense.

This blog won’t give away many details about the games themselves, given I’d like the nature of the story to be kept a secret until the games release. There likely will not be concept art, writing pieces, or worldbuilding put here in full form- just updates that something’s been done and progress has been made.

I lied, sorry about that. There’s still more developing as wildworks is quickly digging it’s own grave. UPDATE:

Much like the rancid and very boring game fer.al, there will be different avatar classes to choose from! The starting class is just a human but with pointy elf ears cuz that's my signature design. This is only the head of the human class. I am working on the body. Sounds fun, right? WRONG!!! I have had several instances of breaking down and crying while modeling the body. It's just that stressful lol. The body and the head pictured are very low poly but I'll be working on fixing that when I get the chance to. Hey, it's Plum. One of the 2 creators of Cinder! I was originally going to make this account Instagram only but because it kept taking the art and any mention of it down for bullshit reasons. IG would not let me post ANYTHING! So... That's why we now have a Tumblr account. Here's concept art of the male playable character! I based this concept art off link because he was one of the references. The hairstyles shown along with the link one can have their colors changed. There will be a lot of customization features in the game such as changing height and weight. But I'm only starting off small. This is only the art phase so there's not going to be any 3D models yet. Also, the 2 of us don't know much about 3D modeling so in the very near future we'll start a GoFundMe so we can get money to take modeling classes and programming classes. So yeah, here's the male character's concept art! (Art style was based off of anime, Zelda and a shitty game called fer.al)
