👦🏻Boy+Bot 🤖 by Ame Dyckman is our first tech themed read. A simple but heart warming tale of friendship between a boy and a robot he met. I love how they overcame their differences and played together happily. 💖FOLLOW FRIDAY💖 Thank for tagging your body themed learning activities with #body_playlexue @booksandwellies 😘 QR has been most interested in "fighting" and "defeating" bad germs so I most definitely will be trying this game! 👍🏻 . . #Repost @booksandwellies (@get_repost) ・・・ 😷 • Brush away the trolls • I made a game for us to play today. It was great fun. Two versions - 1) Green toothbrush needs to get a 3, 7 or 11 to brush away a green troll. The first to brush away all their coloured trolls wins. Or -2) Not in teams, the numbers the dice show will show with coloured troll to brush away. Big hit 🙌🏼 and we played for an hour! Definitely a keeper! Playing this game meant for C, practising counting fast in his head. Also we spoke about teeth and dentist, which is a lot easier when he at the same time can focus on something else. For L this game meant fine motor skills and practising counting and recognising numbers. 💖FOLLOW FRIDAY💖 Thank you so much for digging up an old post to share with me @justtey 😘 I've since hunted down this interesting game book from the library and it is now sitting on top of my sofa waiting to be read. #somuchtodosolittletime . They've ranged from National Geographic-like publications, with many photos & facts, to simple catchy books with Dr Seuss rhymes. What was particularly refreshing about "My head-to-toe body book" is that it seems to be intended for early readers, with interesting facts scattered amidst cute colourful illustrations that even younger children who can't read will appreciate. Interspersed between nuggets of info are activities: like a busy body game to trace the fate of an apple after it is eaten, a poop matching game (which was such a hit with the boys!) and instructions to make voice boxes and cookie people with bloodstreams.
