i've noticed that i often have my sims go camping in the early days of new gameplay. so here we are, in granite falls!

to be very honest, the pressure to upload every week/every other week started to stress me out. youtube (and playing the sims 4) started to feel like a task instead of a fun relaxing hobby.

I do think I will come back, because I really like recording and editing videos. but I will probably go back to how I made videos in the beginning. and worry less about whether a video is fun to watch and focus more on making videos that are fun to make. and just upload when it feels fun instead of forcing myself to stick to an upload schedule.

thank you so much for being so nice :)! I use OBS to record, and filmora to edit ( i do have to say that filmora is a bit expensive, and I wish I could recommend something cheaper/free. but I don't know of any good editing programs for windows that are free/cheaper.. :') )

to be honest, I usually work on my personal gameplay when I have time and energy to play :). and I don't feel comfortable sharing my personal sims on the gallery. however, I do hope to work on a new build to share online soon.

hey lou!! i’m curious to know what are your favorite builders from the gallery, i really like your style of building, it’s so simple and cozy… i don’t really like putting on my game builds with a lot of clutter details and yours have the perfect amount of clutter that feels realistic

first of all, thank you so much for the compliment :)! to be honest, I don't really go to one person in particular when I want to place down something from the gallery. I just type in the lot name that I'm looking for and scroll down for a while. I often tend to make some small adjusments once the lot is placed down to fit my own build style a bit more.

I think the only builders that I come back to quite often are lilsimsie and ratboysims. they are amazing :)!

I love your videos! I have a question as someone who does still plays the older sims iterations, getting into sims 4. what is your process of prepping your save file? i watch all your videos, and i know you focus on one family - but do you have things or lots you always place in a world? do you play with in game townies or create your own? what other households are in the world, or do you not tend to focus on that?

when I’m playing, I start with one sim but the world kind of feels incomplete, like I need to customize it a bit more or have more relationships in town - so I’m curious about your process! hopefully this isn’t confusing :)

your ask is not confusing at all! to answer your question, I tend to focus on just one family when I play, and I don't really play with townies. before I start playing in a new save, I do spend some time making a few sims that can interact with my main sim (otherwise the game does feel empty to me as well!).

I usually make a few parents or a brother/sister for my sims, and I also place down a house for them so I can visit them on family game nights or on a holiday :). next to that, I also often make a few friends for my main sims. just so that my sims have some people to hang out with. sometimes I also add more sims later on to spice things up a bit (for example; a few neighbors, co-workers, a new partner for a friend or family member).

As for lots, I often put a few lots down from the gallery so my sim has some fun places to go to! I mainly place down bars, parks and restaurants :).
