when im in a tragic character competition but my oponent is rex mfn salazar

the climax of generator rex always strikes me a little as a tragedy

rex's life as he knows it has been marked by loneliness and he chooses at the last moment to make himself alone again

the decision to be the only evo is one that I ruminate about. a lot. what motivated that? is he still a little bit a weapon even in his own eyes? does he not know how to be human and so he doesn't give himself the chance to try?

he struggles through the show to connect to people and find peers and he makes the choice to set himself further outside the circle of normalcy. boy explain yourself

HIIII, OKAY number one I love how you draw Damian I love how you make it so accurate to his original character and you don’t whitewash him, I also love how you keep his personality still true to his character without making him seem like some kind of mindless purely violent brat, And also, I appreciate how you perceive him because I feel like with a lot of the newer comics and the newer DC writers that have gotten Damian’s character They have soften his character a lot to make him more digestible because obviously he was raised to be an assassin that boy was two years old walking across hot coals throwing knives at a target, he’s still kinda finding his own moral compass between what Talia taught him and what Bruce is trying to hold him to If people think he’s going to magically be completely emotionally healed and developed enough for intense character plots that are extremely romantic and or wholesome (like Bruce having another biological child with the women who killed his parents!?!?) they are delusional if they think he’s gonna be open and welcoming and it’s not gonna be difficult, or if they think if he does get a romance trope it’s not gonna be a 2-3 year slow burn, I also appreciate how you don’t push ships with him You just write the friendships and relationships he do does have canonly but even when you do that you don’t push it and shove it down peoples throats, your Damian heavily inspired mine and I posted a TikTok with how I draw his suit and I credited you because you inspired it so heavily but JUST WANTED TO SHOW MY APPRECIATION!! 🫶

@pmkn2-0 I am feeling up to a Generator Rex post. I was thinking of asking the question "how would Rex's world, Ben's world, DC, and Marvel fair against a Viltrumite Invasion from Invincible?"

Spoiler alert: in terms of Rex's world it depends on how long Rex's world has time to prepare, in Ben's world it's a "no" in Classic and Alien Force and a very emphatic "YES" in Ultimate Alien and Omniverse, in DC it depends on which version of the DC universe we are talking about, and with Marvel... frankly I'm not sure, but probably the same as DC in that it depends on which version of Marvel we're talking about.
